For me, I could never cancel anything with less than a 2 second cast, because I would need to hold a direction for at least 2 seconds to cancel. I'm glad they fixed that, but...

What do you mean "PVP monks"? Oh, does this only affect pvp for some reason? It's not like pvp monks are that much different than pve ones....
