Ok, lets talk about how the new update helped/hindered your characters!

Lets share some information about how this update has revitalized or killed some of your in-game habits.
Here is what I have found:
Well right after the update I tried Warden farming outisde Arborstone using the Vengeful Rit build...bad news...the Wardens run away from you and alternate attacking groups. I can't kill them before they run out and get healed.
However, the vermin farming still works but it is a little slower.
Friends have reported that the 2 man UW still works, which is great to hear!
What have you guys/girls found?

Troll/Mino farming as a 55 is now pretty much moot. GG chinese farmers.

Every thing is nerfed staffs,farming,55 necro and 55 monk any thing 55 is nerfed i think they have totlay F**ked up imo i hate gw now unless they fix it i quit and they also meesed all the green staff my ghial's staff is crap

With the nerf to spirit bond, 600 monk and necro is no more for me. And the nerf to AoE again, 55 monking and necro is useless to me too. Apparently Cyclone axe was even nerfed. No more solo farming minotaurs and trolls for me. Q.Q
Edit: I'm not certain, but I believe Barrage has been included in this nerf. GG ANet.

Well, the good news with the new enemy AI is that now people will be forced to rethink all of thier builds. The bad news is that....now people will be forced to rethink all of thier builds.

I love these updates
I personally don't like 55 monks very much, seeing as they can reduce 200+ attacks to merely 5 damage. It ruins the game =/
Actually, I think all solo farming is retarded. Why solo in an online game, you antisocia reclusivle jackass. Go farm with actual people and have some real fun!

Everything works out fine for me. Once again Anet comes through with everything I've been asking for. I was hoping that weapons from Tyria and Cantha would be able to use inscriptions, but we still have inherent mods. Oh well, I guess it's a good thing cause it doesn't de-value all the weapons people have found or bought.
As for the complaints I'm reading here I was unaware that Barrage, Spirit Bond, Cyclone Axe, etc... were changed. I read through the patch notes, but haven't tried them in game yet? Could someone please explain?
Seems like there was only 1 or 2 skills that were nerfed. Most skills changed got a pretty sweet buff.

Well. It is the enemy AI buff that is causing most of the skill problems. SS, and almost any other spell that effects multiple targets is causing problems. Even Energy Surge on my mes is causing them to scatter because it effects people around the target...same with deep freeze on ele's.

works out fine I hate pve anyway, wanted to quit playing and had this update come a week ago I would have welcomed it as a foot out the door.
but I already paid for nightfall so it's kind of like I just got kicked out of the door into a brick wall.
so I'll put my main character through nightfall and then just work on gladiator and hero titles, and ultimately stop playing and go back to FPS games, kinda glad knowing I won't be encouraged to buy chapter 4 now =).

Well, since any decent Mesmer energy gain outside of Power Drain got a swift kick to the junk, I'd say it affects my Mesmer a lot. Say goodbye to fast cast nuking.

The same is true of green farming in SF. 90% of people in War Camp are 5 man Oro farming, 5% are looking for a runner to Granite Citadel, 1% are drunk, and the remaining 4% are people looking to do something else and use henchmen. These remaining 4% will hopefully be getting into groups more with the nerf of farming.

Or when you have a R/Me running degen instead of barrage.
Then when you have the monk that only knows how to spam heal party over and over and complains about not having energy.
Oh... and the necro that says they're SS (which doesn't matter now) but is really running all touch skills...
Hmm.. this is why people solo and dual farm. We're tired of incompetent people who can't run actual builds.

I'm planning to come up with new solo builds and checking out the new Nightfall skills on wiki that might help. 55 IW Mesmer still might work since they don't use any AoE spells, that's good news for my Mes I hope.

i think the update is going to hinder the economy. since pve is based on having money to get better items (unless you have the best luck in the world and get gold drops all the time, which doesnt matter now bc of inscriptions..) and gold doesnt drop in quantities large enough to support having the money to really enjoy playing. ask people if they like having a character they cant buy armor or weapons for. also, the fact that they nerfed the common UW builds also means that the people who already farmed it dry will benefit as ecto prices soar (went from 6k to 10k in 5 min...probably higher later) while those who want fissure armor or other expensive items are now left out. its not like you can "farm" UW with 8 ppl in a balanced team. ive cleared the whole UW with a team, and it was fun, but now i just want to use it to make money, not to get the same storyline and missions over and over and over agian..sry for the exceedingly long post but im a bit pissed my main income is gone

I don't know, I could be crazy and am probably the only person that has been playing since Proph. release and has yet to make a million big ones.

First off loving to play as a healing monk, the constant screen spinning on every heal HAS TO GO. Make that stop or enable a camera option for the stable default. Its absolutely annoying and completely unsettling to try and play like that.
The concept of a tank is destroyed. Nothing holds agrro because nothing can keep it. It goes too far to encourage non-tactical play style because the current aggro hold of an organized party is roughly the equivalent of a group that blunders in and aggros everything, running around in sheer chaos. There is no difference. Might as well save the trouble and simply play that way.
While we are at it, why dont we remove all the area effect spells from the game? We dont need them. We can all be single target spiker builds. Cuts down on the number of skills we need to collect because you know any AoE is going to render itself pointless anyway.
PvP you say? Well sure. We could make this a PvP-only game. Made great progress to that end so far. Maybe I will start doing only that - but in that case - PLEASE at least fix the spinning camera on every target ally cast so I can at least do that. Just try the new patch here. One Obvious thing i found out that my assasin wont use the skill a lot. i have to repetedly push skill button before he go in and use the skill. The skill that stuck are Black Lotus stike and Dancing Dagger
dont know if this happen to other char as well. I was playing fort Aspenwood when GW was updated.

If Anet wants people to make "real" parties for UW then they should make there actually be worthwhile rewards for using 8 men in the UW. Not nerf UW farming.
