You can not plan a strategy against random behavior, hence why PvP is there. How many Tanks do you see there? None, with Tactics line and boosting Strength skills (Endure, Doylak) being comletely ignored as a result. These skills had a use in PvE to tank foes. Doylak? Yeah, trigger it then go run after the foe at 25% speed while it pummels your monks. Evasive skills? Why? They won't behitting you much anyways (goes for Ranger skills too). Random aggro means there is NO WAY you can effectively micro manage aggro on a single target. It would be like trying to hold Aggro in PvP. Never gonna happen.

Smarter monsters require people to actually think when playing pve.

Well right after the update I tried Warden farming outisde Arborstone using the Vengeful Rit build...bad news...the Wardens run away from you and alternate attacking groups. I can't kill them before they run out and get healed.

Im just pissed I can't cast

Meteor
Meteor Shower
Chain Lightning
Eruption
Rodgorts Invocation
Heal Party
Aegis
Extinguish
Kinetic Armor
Lightinining Orb
Obsidian Flame
Etc... Any 2+ second cast spell....

While running without hitting an autocancel. Go to isle of the nameless and hold the forward button and cast Meteor Shower, then let go of forward as soon as you cast the spell. Fun isn't it? I am waiting on updates and will not play until this is fixed. I have been complaining about it for the last 2 hours. Yes im pretty steamed.

Ghial's has never been good. Ever. A Wand and off-hand gives you more energy with a maleable base to alternate between one form of a death weapon setup to another without requiring you to buy 50 more crappy green staves. The possibilities are seemingly endless with a Wand and Off-hand. With a Staff, it's WYSIWYG all day.

Actually, I think all solo farming is retarded. Why solo in an online game, you antisocia reclusivle jackass. Go farm with actual people and have some real fun!

Excuse me but there are Monks out there that like to get away from the constant gripping of ppl calling to keep them healed up.We have to listen to most of the time and when can we do some damage like the rest of the team.We could always start smiting in groups instead of healing others.When Monks 55 it to get break from it all and to use thier lovely smiting prayers.

No it isn't! I mean, uhh...

Shhhh! Don't tell everyone that! Let people keep thinking their staffs and Sunderings are da bomb. It just means every time I run across either, I know I can sell it straight out without having to wonder "which of my characters will this work good with"

Ghial's did Dark Damage. Bortak set deals Cold Damage. The Cold damage and extra 2 energy if you kept your HP above 50% made Bortak set superior to Ghial's Staff, except that Ghial's was easier and cheaper to get after the MM and Gear nerf, making the staff more popular then the set.

Totem axe + collecters offhand ftw. So why did you pay 25k for ghials again? Gee I have +17 energy, +20% echant, +30 health and HCT of my spells.... what I only payed 5k? omg hax.

Collector/Crafter's wand and off-hand FTW... no one cares about caster skins, anyway. At least until Nightfall

Hey, you know there are people out there who play the game for fun? It isn't a 9 til 5 job for them, where you have to make money in the most efficient way, buy and sell stuff all day, etc., and any form of roleplaying is out of the question.

I know that for some people, completing a campaign is done only for unlocks, and any other PvE is done only for farming. But there are other people out there who want to play the game. So I don't think any quests are 100% pointless, some people want to do them because this a GAME in which they can enjoy themselves by PLAYING it.

That is a beast of an update, can't wait to try out the new stuff. I'd stopped playin for a while until NF hit, since it's out tomorrow I better get my feet back on the ground.
