guildwiki states that you can't reach r6 lightbringer. False information? Someone here confirmed he still receives blessings after r5.

Dont worry there will be a report of a GW gamer who died from a lack of food, sunlight, fresh air, sleep and Deep Vein Thrombosis
It's just a title and wont actually increase the size of your penis like some of these players who go round bragging and calling people with lower ones noobs seem to think....."sorry you cant join our group unless you're R5 Lightbringer"
(Maybe the ones in their heads tho as I cant see that being R5 is a requirement for any of these quests or missions, especially seeing as some people finished in a day or so, you telling me that they found the time to finish the game AND farm that many lightbringer points in that space of time - seriously doubt it)
Dont flame me, I've got nothing against people with titles and grats for achieving them, I just dont like people who use them to discriminate and think they have a right to insult people because they're under some weird conception they're really that character in real life.
Just some observations I've seen in game since these titles came out, and quite frankly - it really sucks.

It's called sarcasm. He obviously has farmed for the title himself.
03 Nov 2006 at 15:08 - 57
Well I was in a race to see if I could get up there fast enough, after I seen those people hitting those kind of numbers I said bah I'm not gonna bother with it, I can't farm that all day.
As for me discriminating, I'd never do that. If I was making a Lightbringer Gaze group I wouldn't require you to be r5 or anything, just have that Gaze with because it helps out a lot. For a mission I wouldn't say you can't join because you're not r2-5 or any of that. I didn't do any of the missions with r2, I was still at r1 when I beat the game and didn't even have gaze. But yeah it figures people are doing that, probably desperate cause they don't want to lose the mission.
As for me I'm kinda competitive so I like being in first place for things sometimes, whether I can achieve it or not I'm still gonna try, always someone who beats you though no matter what you do.
03 Nov 2006 at 15:08 - 58
I've seen about 3 people a with conquering and one with revered. The one with revered is one I've seen in the chantry quite a few times. Wish i would have gotten the name now.
03 Nov 2006 at 15:17 - 59
I can imagine that the Title will at some time be a requirement for farming purposes in the realm of torment. If you've got 8 People with it you can pretty much spike everything within seconds - even bossmobs.
03 Nov 2006 at 16:10 - 60
That's 25k LB points, or 12.5k enemies. There being no more than 425 enemies per area at the highest place, that would take 30 runs about. If each run takes 2-3 hours now, it'd be 90 hours of farming the place I'm talking about which I'm sure isnt' the place he did. That's 3 1/2 days of pure farming Torment.
03 Nov 2006 at 16:24 - 61
Well, no. There are alot of lightbringer quests as well that will give you anywhere between 10-45 points as well. I know thats not much but still... Also if you have a group with gaze at r4 you can pretty much mow through an area in no time. Also, there are the wurms for massive killing sprees and point earnings on the elementals, margonites and the *shapshifter" enemies. You can probable cut the time in an area down to about 15-20 minutes. Besides it's only 10k more from 15k if you have r5 already.

I apologize for this somewhat of a n00b post but earlier in this thread it was confirmed that you can get the bounty's even when you hit r5. now can anyone confirm if you get the bounty's once you have hit r6...i am wondering if since this is such a hard title to farm that they will not put a stop on it like the Sunspear title track...above all else i want to know if it would be worth continuing i am currently a Brave Lightbringer r3 (yeah i little behind you guys) and i dont want it to be like the sunspear title track where i put the entire release day (as apossed to playing with my guild) into it just to find out i cant go beyond castellan(at least not currently or i am behind on the times if someone has shown us how to do so). thanks in advance to anyone that can confirm (prefeably with screenshot) that you can or can not get the bounties for the Light Bringer title track once you are r6.
03 Nov 2006 at 19:09 - 63
I don't think anyone here has reached the r7 yet, although i have seen a person with it. I'm pretty sure it's totally possible to get the max sunspear rank by just going with people that can still get bounties. This may even also apply to lightbringer if it does cap at r6.
03 Nov 2006 at 20:06 - 64
gogo r7 now ^_^
03 Nov 2006 at 21:12 - 65
Geez, are you gaining experience from this as well? We all see farming potential, but can anybody say easier Survivor?

i know that *possibly* no one has reached r7 yet but i am asking that when you reach r6 if you can still get the bounty for LB title on you.

What builds, if I may ask, are you using to farm these Lightbringer points effectively?
I noticed that Detro has 2 Elementalists. Is it a Searing Flames build?
04 Nov 2006 at 01:57 - 68
hooooly crap -_- thats a lot of farming you guys are doing :S
i'd rather spend my time for my incorrigable alehound title (4,933 now)
anyway, after this my monk is going lightbringer
04 Nov 2006 at 04:42 - 69
Figure i'll ask here since it does somewhat have to do with leveling sunbringer has anyone tried echoing lightbringers gaze cause that would help alot might be worth dropping the sunspear siget for.l
04 Nov 2006 at 04:55 - 70
You can indeed Echo Lightbringer's Gaze.
04 Nov 2006 at 06:14 - 71
I wonder if there is anything after rank 7. If there is I'm not gonna get this title =P I'd rather get a cartographer title for my KOABD

Survivor characters in the realm of torment...easy...have you been to there? It's not really survivor friendly unless you got friends along with.

Looks like people are starting to use the Lightbringer Title as a requirement for forming partys. I visited a few of the harder mission outposts in the game and the local chat was basically filled with "Looking for group, must have Lightbringer R4+!".
Doesn't affect me because i've got plenty of Lightbringer Points on my char, but well it's a pity that people are allready starting Rank Elitism in PVE as well.
04 Nov 2006 at 17:41 - 74
Psch, I cleared all the Torment missions as an r1 Lightbringer. Anyone that requres r4+ is kinda sad.
04 Nov 2006 at 18:01 - 75
I have my lightbringer 4 and didn't play with it selected nor did I use the skill in any missions. Which I completed 18/20 now with all henchmen! Ohyeah. Pre-made henchman that is, unless I had to take a stupid hero along. Nightfall is kinda easy, hope this "elite" mission will become more of a challange than 4 man Urgoz.

First the torment realem is a joke i rushed the game the weekend it came out so had like level 1 lightbringer when I cleared the game.
But if I was forming a torment pug (which I'm against pugs to begin with) I would set a rank limit for a few reasons.
-One the damage reduction will help with the avrage abilities of pug monks.
-Lightbringers Gaze just kicks ass and just gets better with level.
-The damage output increase is nothing to scoff at and helps make up for some players poor build selection.
-Lastly it shows they have atleast some experince.
Really if your heros could use lightbringer gaze and such there would be 0 reason to even pug.
Also IMHO lightbringer barely makes up for the advatages heros have over pugs. Which is why Heros>Pugs. Honestly I like the rank 4 area Not to hard to get but higher then most people have atm. Then for elite mission(if its in torment realm level 5 I think would be good)

not if you're farming LB points like I'm farming them.

if u really want to farm lightbringer points...i go out and kill all the torment creatures except one, then let him duplicate himself with call of torment and kill the duplicate...rinse repeat

I guess theres some cheap ways to farm them ;p But i've jsut been doind the explorable to gates of madness Haven't timed myself yet but guessing around 700LB possible an hour but I usally get bored after one run.
05 Nov 2006 at 07:34 - 80
I honestly don't see how this benefits people other than Torment Farming. Missions are easy as hell (other than shiro) and if you think about it the damage reduction aint the deciding factor against those mobs of 20.
