have u noticed that u can get certain masters lvl quests only after u finished some usual quests, or made it to certain outpost or smth like that? it might be that case that 1 of elite mis can be unlocked after finishing ALL masters lvl mis and mb u have to have certain npc in ur party? anet can do that, after all it sounds logical - we can get rewards for getting titles, and elite mis will be a reward for doing quests...

I'll be re-exploring the Desolation. I just remembered a Lightbringer Quest i did. Something about the crypt of a titan which was broken by margonites. Did i just miss the follow up quest? Because it basically said that the Titan himself ran into the Desolation but i've not heard from him since (and i've got an empty questlog. Unless i missed a NPC somewhere).

took a guildie out (lvl 6sunspear) we went around got all the bounties in that sulforous wastes.. then proceeded to kill every moneter.. my points never moved at all..

Well i think i might have a clue to where it is like everyone else , there is a master quest which is tuffer than chit lol in the vortex the one where you have to defend the seer guy and when you look at your map you just below the vortex but in the middle pointing down towards that last open slot in the vortex i am almost willing to bet that once you comlete that mission you get in

The closed gate in Abaddon's Gate leads to the last mission, not the elite mission.

If it exist, it should be on the map that comes with ce. It doesn't so if it exist, it will only be in the realm of torment

I have been looking all over talking to as many npc's as i can find and still nothing and a quote someone from my guild read to me was there is an active elite mission in the game im please begging if someone knows the location tell me

I don't know if the place is the Elite mission, but I am asking in this thread as there are a lot of people trying to access every corner of Elona ;-).
In Grant Court of Sebelkeh, there are 2 teleporters, each with a flag marked "Sebelkeh basilica". Anybody knows out to use them to get to this area ? This area is visible on the map for CE, but doesn't appear on my in game map, so I thought it might be of interest to figure out what's there.

I think it has something to do with Kromir and Sunspear rank, but Anet has yet to add the content.

Each mission that doesn't use an explorable area will have a 'door' to the mission area to make it realistic. Take all the Tyria missions for example, every single one had a closed off path to the mission area. The tele's there are the 'door' to that mission, which takes place in the giant purple floating basilica over the water.
With the Stygian Keys in Gates of Torment, I'll find it hard to believe the elite mission isn't down there. However, that doesn't necessarily mean the entrance is down there...

There is a quest line out of the lair of the forgotten, regarding the "staff of the mist" and opening a portal to it releasing whatever horrors lurk inside it. Has anyone done this questline yet? sounds like it might lead somewhere and no I haven't beaten the game yet or gotten r9 or even lightbringer 5...

I have and it's just a quest. Also you remember those doors in the Forum Highlands, well the one by the commander monk boss, well that wasnt' glowing before and now something behind it is glowing. Or has it always been glowing? About 3-4 days ago when I was there I didn't notice it glowing at all.

Ok I found this quest that lead into another quest and a quest reward is "Inscribed secret" on both I am sure thier are more. But I'm stuck on the second quest. Heros and Henchies are just not doing the job.
once you complete the first quest you do not get the "Inscribed secret" as a reward in your inventory.That made me think could this be a secret way into an elite mission since the guy your helping Remebers stuff along the way. *In the first quest*
No clue about the second quest untill I find away to complete it DP is a killer.
Since I need a url for my Screens Shots I cant post them but I'll tell you the quest.
1: Fleshy Operation
2: Faded Memory

Here is the door, the only thing that I'm confused about is, that this wasn't glowing before, 4 days ago..could it mean something?

It's a reward thing, you collect 1/3/5 from doing quests (1 per quest) and can turn them in to various Keepers for shiny things like... identification kits, salvage kits, alcohol etc.

That stairway behind the wall has been glowing since i saw it earlier in the week. You must not have noticed it first time threw. It seems to be a hint for a quest line, used as a marker dealing with that ruby djinn urn. Unfortunatly it seems to be a dead-end.

Well it's not glowing any longer, but we also don't have favor, and it was glowing when we had favor. I was looking around and notice a mirror on a rock, that the sun bounces off. I'm following them now.

you very well may be onto something with it being linked to favor, both times i have been down there have been when we have had it.

Well we won favor back, but it wasn't glowing again. I've noticed two sets of mirrors and doors, and the light from the mirrors, is just missing the middle of the doors. I'm not sure what those mirrors and what those door's are for, but I did beat that Djinn Overseer, seems it's for a quest, but I don't think they are tied together. I'm still exploring, and while it may be just scenery, I'm not sure because it was glowing, and it's not for me, any longer.

In the Chamber of secrets( I believe thats the name!) theres the area for the staute of Kormir, which you can only get to once you beat the game. When you kneel her avatar appears. It dosen't do anything atm, but me and some other people were thinking that soon she might lead to a new area like fow or uw, or an elite mission..I dont know if anyone said anything about this or not (didn't feel like reading through 10 pages of stuff..) But It's just a spectulation. :P

we searched the whole realm of torment for hints to the elite mission but nothing..

you gus know if theres a quest to maybe reclaim this after we beat abbadon maybe this is where u get to go to the elite mission area from. once you restore it or something. for the love of god i have such a feeling this has something to do with it. like maybe reawaking the gods. yes its the explorable zone of it. im gonna finish chkin it out

Well,just to let u know,i just got a file d/l in Mouth of Torment.Its first time ive been there since the update to remove halloween event,so thought id mention it,though no new npcs in the town yet

The fact that it glows on and off is tied to a zone bug. It's hard to explain, but sometimes when you enter a zone the animated textures won't work. Waterfalls and rivers will be frozen, those light bridges with the flying souls will have the souls all stopped. Sometimes the zones work fine, sometimes they don't. I'm assuming the glow texture is animated, and would be stuck off when the zone loads this way.

If i were Anet... I would tie the elite mission to the challenge missions. Have a top score on every challenge and a guy would pop out saying how awesome you are then offer to take you to the elite mission.

it would be impossible to find a group for the elite mission, there would be maybe 2 people there... you get top score somewhere, go to next, you get top score there but someone has gotten top score at the first one by then... and the high score would eventually be too high to beat (by the massive amount of people playing them to get to elite mission)

No because it was glowing when we passed it after we killed the boss by it. Then we went for the heket, but never left the zone. When we came back it was off. So it went from on to off while we were there.
