I'm hoping that closing the program without actually hitting "logout" triggers the reconnect. I occassionaly have problems where the game causes my computer to freeze and I have to reboot the computer. I hope the reconnect will work for that.

The only things that I would really like now is

1) Aution House
2) Controllable pets/Ability to charm more than one pet
3) More account storage

If they ever add those 3 in, this game would be the bmb for me.

Especially useful in areas which take a lot of time to complete (e.g. FoW/UW).

Other way around. Unless you *choose* to close the client, the server never receives a message telling it that you wanted to disconnect. It therefore treats a crash the same way as an internet dropout.

Disconnects (eg Code 007), PC crashing, etc all = disconnect = option to reconnect within 10 minutes.

Thanks for the correction, that's awesome news in itself as Guild Wars isn't stable at times on my comp. I do have a pretty important question though; what happens when you err7 on a load screen? The vast majority of my disconnects have occurred while sitting at 0% "Connecting..." for ~60 seconds or so. So for example when I'm loading into a GvG match and and I err7 on the load screen, will a reconnect put me be back at the guild hall or loaded into the match?

Finally on Reconnects!!, Congrats Anet on 3Million. Now is that 3 million individual accounts or just an addition of all GW(prop,factions,nfall) titles sold so far.

What happens when the flag carrier disconnects? Will the flag drop immediately, or does your team get a few seconds notice? Does the other team get a notice of a player's err7?

So ending the Gw.exe process would theoretically offer a reconnect for the people who don't have a crashed client, but merely a stalled one? If so, that's quite similar to how session saver works in Firefox. It won't say 'your browser crashed, here's your last state' if you close it, but does if you end the process (or it genuinely crashes).
