killing the process is just the same as Alt+F4ing out, its not a connection problem.
Presumuably the clever coders have coded it to look for packet loss situations where final info was not sent out, but I'm assuming with closing the program it does send a final goodbye message to the server, as may closing the process itself.

Now all ANet needs to do is address the trade spam issue (personally, it is the bane of my gameplaying as I always have local and trade turned off in main cities as I don't trade at all - I normally give unwanted/unnecessary items away or receive them as gifts from fellow team members during missions/quests or wait for drops/collectors etc).
Why we can't have a specific Trade Hall that people can congregate in for trade activities is beyond me!

Hi, I didn't read all thread, anyway, I have an idea, when in the 10 minutes for reconnection time (when err7, etc), why not make our character a hero temporally, that way he/she continue playing at least the first 2 minutes, then go AFK for the remaining 8 minutes.

. For Guild Wars, it's all about boxes sold which is why we report that number when we reach major milestones. GW accounts never go inactive, and someone who has not logged in for 3 months can still be a fan of the game who intends to buy the next campaign at release.

Wintersday looks phenomenal, only thing is that I feel bad for people who only have factions, as they will not be able to partake in the wintersday things. No offence to Anet but Halloween was terrible. The only thing to do was the Mad King's visits. Wintersday is alot better and I look foward to it so much more.

Great! Finally reconnects. But I think my chances to get Legendary Survivor for my mesmer are now even harder... Allready rank 2 survivor but it would be pretty bad if my crappy connection shuts or I get err 7...
It would be "great" indeed if some level 2 grawl kicks my ass within that 10 minute period... Time to do even Ascalon missions with heroes. Attleast I have some bodyguards then... But rank 2 is good enough if that happens.

Party Formation is great news for some. Monks, Necros and Nukers especially as they can just log in as wanting to do several quests/missions and pick whichever comes first. Nightmare for some classes though as they will be easier to ignore then. If your choice is from people in that area then there's a chance that you might pick one of the underrated classes just because you can't find someone else. What's the chance now of Assassins or Mesmers (for example) getting a group when so many people think they're useless because they don't fit in a pre-defined role.

I'll be happy to change my view on the Party Finder if it helps my Mesmer find a group. I have a feeling that it won't help at all! Same with my Ritualist and Dervish (My assassin would have problems as well but then I can't seem to play it right so until I work it out I won't join groups).

Reconnects are cool. Should really help for the long missions, although I think my friends and I have pretty much decided DoA isn't worth the effort. Also, congrats on the 3 mil. Looking forward to these and other future improvements.
