IMO this thread is almost pointless in that the trilogy has been 30 bucks or less many times. I picked up a couple of them at best buy for 15 each. Search for deals and obviously grab the trilogy for $20 or so.

FoW and UW wouldn't be much count on that list as they are accessible in each chapter after a certain point.
But yeah, SF, Tombs, Kanaxia(sp?), and DoA would be nice to add but I don't think there is a whole lot to say on DoA as of yet.

You should include African in the chart under environment for Nightfall, as Nightfall includes many many influences that are purely African in origin, perhaps even more so than its middle east influences.

Greetings everyone, I'm interested in purchasing Guild Wars so I can enjoy it.
My question to you all is, what exactly should I buy, so I don't miss any bonuses? I'm interested in buying a GW edition that will allow me access to absolutely everything, every manual, art, bonus weapons, pets, EVERYTHING, throughout the history of Guild Wars. Is there a possibility for this? I'm quite interested in making sure I experience GW 1 to its absolute fullest and want to make sure I don't miss a single bonus, reward or whatnot. Are there items that are now unavailable? Price is not a problem. |
But i dont know if this combination also give all bonus items (i bought everything seperatelty)... and i assume this combination wont give you any of the collector's edition bonuses (for that you need to buy all colector's editions seperatly, but i think that is nearly impossible unless you are REALLY rich).

Mm. If anyone is still looking to purchase any of the GW games, they really are cheap these days!

The cheapest I've seen all the individual chapters for was $10 each at newegg, etc.
The trilogy for $15 (bestbuy last year) was the best price Ive seen and is why I said to buy that instead of just one chapter. Getting all 3 for a little more than just prophecies is a no brainer imo.
If arena net wanted to breath some life into this game, they could release a complete pack with everything for $20-30. Would have been good move for xmas. 3, EOTN, BMP, and throw in a mini for $30. Really good bang for the buck either way.
