2nd Birthday Ideas?

Agreed 100%. I like minis and all, but they're kinda hard to show off since you need about a whole mule just to store them all <insert mini-zoo keeper idea here >.

Even more minipets for an anniversary doesn't seem interesting, what can you do with 2 pets on one character if you can only display one simultaneously (most people should have at least 1 pet per character by new, especially with all those pigs from Canthan New Year)

As for an emote, not a bad idea, doesn't have to be /rank'ish, even just some new /dance emote (next to the current /dance and /dancenew would be nice imo)

Or what about some re-usable fireworks? As in, (de-)activating it just like a mini-pet, for some mini-fireworks when walking around?

If you are going to make some new minipets, then I'd like to see:

Green:
Wurm (It could run beside you and go underground and pop up etc)

Gold:
Bladed Aaxte
Smite
Shiro'ken

Purple:
Mursaat
Flesh Golem (The mob at Ring of Fire - not the minion)
Margonite

Just some ideas I had. Pesonally, I quite like minipets, so I'd like to see it as the birthday present. However something else visual, ie. emote/divine aura type thing might be good.

who cares if you can sell it or not? I really don't see what the big deal is...

How about a mini Crag or a mini word of madness. Also a mini-margonite or a mini-guild lord! Those things are huge so a mini would be the same size as us!!


And with all these mini's around how about a mini storage!! lol!!

To be honest though, the mini idea is kinda tired. I would like something more original. Something that can't be traded and shows how long you been playing. Something like a special skinned weapon based specifically on what kind of character you are. Or maybe a tattoo or emote or the glowing effect based on our profession like boss monsters have. That would be cool!! Any other ideas are welcome. It's just that with mini-pets, everyone can have one and it doesn't mean anything except that you have enough money to buy really rare ones.

Please no new miniatures. It seems like all the new prizes are just miniatures.
Especially if you can just trade/sell them. That's not very unique.

I would much rather have:

A weapon aura that you could turn on/off.

A Divine Halo you could turn on/off (The God's have smiled upon your devotion)

A Unique skin for your class' Weapons you can turn on/off

A new set of Blank /Birthday Weapons that you can spawn, mod & Inscribe.

Access to Unique armor (Yes, I realize how improbable this is.)


Just SOMETHING IMAGINATIVE Not minis.

The idea of minipets was hilariously cool when it began but with the recent "pretty much everyone gets a mini-pet" event, I think they've lost that special something and have become far less wanted.

Instead, following the idea of an aura for a character's second birthday, maybe it could be a special effect which could be class specific e.g.

Warrior: flaming footsteps
Monk: glowing blue halo when casting spells
Elementalist: multi-coloured lights coming out of your hands
Ranger: bees/ butterflies fly round your character
Mesmer: purple spirals around body
Necromancer: dark twisting thorns circle slowly around legs

The above are some basic ideas but something like that would be far more interesting than another set of minipets.

I'm a fan so far of the unique armor, special aura, unique title, and the monetary gift doesn't sound too bad either.

Edit: Oh yeah and NO MORE MINI PETS.

I really wouldnt mind new minis .. they are usefull as merhant stop marks in inventory

If you really want something diffrent, give us disguises (as seen in some missions), many people would LOVE to have look of Mantle Knight for example. (this also give us one great thing: whole armor set skin in one inventory slot)

Disguises could include:

(rare) Stone Summit Dwarf (comming with "So ... tight!" and "This definitely ain't my size! etc talk windows (alike drunkyard speech)")
(green) White Mantle Knight, Shaddow Army Warrior.
(Purple) Kurzick priest, Luxon Warrior, Echantted armor
(Blue) Canthan Noble, Istani Noble, Vabbian Noble
(White) Corsair, Kournam soldier (completing mission in which you use them as part of story would give you one piece if you do masters (or hard more) ), Canthan Guard, Lionguard, Ascalon Vanguad...

Also, disguises would be really cool for people that actually roleplay (now you wold be able to get "mosters" do actually emotes and such stuff) or wanna create machinishima (priceless for that).

I think the disguises idea is great. Someone started a thread along the same ideas over Sardelac as well. Year 1 was the year of the minipet. Year 2 can be various disguises that your character can "wear".

I like minis. I personally want more of them. I have a horse right now but it doesn't look enough like a pony. It's too scaley and looks kind of evil. So, I would love to have more of them so everyone can get one that suits them right.

Mini Izzy that does cartwheels is a good suggestion that I heard.
Giving us access to the mini panda would be great.
Mini bear would be cool.
Mini hyena that makes the same sound as the pet.
Most importantly, I would kill for a mini penguin.

I would like something that is NON TRADABLE like an age emote like rank, excecpt instead of an animal, its a man/woman with a walker. LOL But seriously, make something that you can't trade. That way its more unique and personal for the character that reaches the 2 year milestone.

Gaile, this is just a thought, but is it conceivable to have, for example, a "Signet of Miniaturization"?

One use only, creates a miniature of targetted ally/enemy.

Or... how about miniatures of the creatures from Chapter 4?

New character emote?

I think a cool emote for being 2 years old would be great. Kind of like /rank but use /age and it has you flash something cool on the screen. I don't know what animal or animation it should be but it would keep players from selling their 2nd birthday items.
