No more Minis as birthday present

But Minis in the future as reward for games, special events, as code in magazines, ... YES!

I think the following idea is a great one:

Whats with a Special-Birthday-Hero, everyone got a presentbox while you doubleclick you can choose the class of your Hero an now this Hero (with Level 20) is in your List of Heros. You can trade the presentbox or give it to other characters on your account, because every Hero is only for one character. So everyone has a chance to get a second assassine, a third monk, a second mesmer, and so on.....

Having said that, this thread has taught me one thing; people who don't want new minis for their second Birthday are TOO STUPID TO READ.

There are plenty of threads on this forum devoted to alternative birthday gift ideas which range from kind of interesting to insanely greedy. THIS thread, however, was started by Gaile to ask for ideas on which creatures we would liked to see as NEW MINIPETS.

Geez.

Anyway, I'm sure it's obvious, but I'm really looking forward to my second year pet. I could come up with a lot of ones I'd love to have, but I'll just say this...

MINI MOA FTW!

Oh, and whatever they are, my preference would be for monsters, not characters. Tiny little people just aren't as cool to me. (Except Gwen. ^_^)

Gaile asked for feedback about the next birthday gifts, and she's getting it. Alot of people don't want minipets. Clearly you don't understand that, you should spend more time reading and less time raging. If people are posting that they want OTHER types of gifts, CLEARLY THEY DONT WANT MINIPETS.

People who post in this thread that they do not want new miniatures may be stupidly wasting their time, but people who do not want new miniatures for the second birthday line of presents are not stupid by any means for their wishes. With that one erroneous statement, you have flamed quite a few members of this site.

That being said, if new miniatures are indeed fated to be the second gift, I'd have to say that I'd really enjoy seeing a miniature Armored Cave Spider.

How about a balloon? One of those elaborate carnival/procession-style ones. It would be like a mini pet, but huge and floats above your head.

Then the pink warriors can hold pride marches...

More seriously, what someone else said about rarity, is important, IMO. It's fine having random rarity in drops, but birthday presents should be equal. Heck everyone got a gold pig at the recent festival, whether they participated or not. I think the same should be true of the next round of birthday presents, whatever they may be.

I'd like new mini pets!

I don't really buy mini pets, since I'm afraid my next character's birthday will give the same mini pet, so minis are kinda special to me ^^

I'd love to see the following mini pets:

-Miniature Ettin (with a little club of course :P)
-Miniature Tengu (Tengu are my favourite monsters )
-Miniature Smite Crawler
-Miniature Aatxe
-Miniature Shiro'Ken
-Miniature Junundu
-Miniature Torment Monster (The Paragon looks cool ^^)


I don't really like human mini pets... Cause they're not... pets... Ohhh well ^^

Oh, I knew I was walking in the Valley of Eternal Flame when I wrote that post. Sadly, I just couldn't help myself.

For the record, I certainly didn't say anyone was stupid for not wanting a mini. I merely disputed their intelligence when it came to reading and answering a simple question. ^_^

Just now, I started to type, "you're right, nobody is being stupid", but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

This thread is like someone asking a kid in an ice cream store, "What kind of ice cream do you want?", and getting back the answer...

I'm also sick of Gwen! I'd rather have nothing given to me on my birthday and Gwen eradicated from the story of Guild Wars forever. Then I'd be happy.

A death reset could be great as well, then I might be able to max that title on my warrior.

An aura (like divine aura) or access to a special suit of armor would be nice.
My vote would be for a cool aura.

Please, NO more mini-pets, there are enough already. If it has to be mini's, just give us access to the one's that were not previously birthday gifts (and maybe even the chance to PICK which pet you get).

Weeeeeeeeeeeell, I'm coming up to two years of playing, but I don't have any characters that are even one year old anymore! I did have a character that got to twelve months old (I got a Whiptail), but my oldest now is er... about 7 months.

I'm sure there's no intention to alienate old players without old characters, so how about something permanent for the account, that can be applied to any character on the account? There's already great things like account titles and auras - how about an age title that combines the two? Like the way Lightbringer works by turning on that Lightbringer buff, your age title could turn an aura on that you could run around with!

Aura, disguise, new emote, special weapon, anything except mini pets, please. Though weapon is my favourite, especially if it could be created in something similiar to PvP Equipment tool (special NPC maybe?), because it would be first event gift that has some actual use and isn't only taking place in storage most of time.

You could have something like a quest pop up in your quest window:

My Second Birthday!

"Congratulations! You turned two years old today and your good friend [who-ever] the Weaponsmith has granted you with a special honour!"

You open your gift box to reveal a Weapon Ticket.

You take this ticket over to [who-ever] the Weaponsmith and he gives you a selection of weapon types, all green and all inscribable and clean (so you will have to upgrade them yourself as well) and all beginning with your name, so I'd pick (for example) "Elisa Sarendil's [...]", in the [...] box you'd be able to fill in a second part to the sword's name, for example, "Rake". My sword's name would then be "Elisa Sarendil's Rake". These weapons should be tradeable, because the name already links them to your character. And who wouldn't want to have someone call out their weapon in a mission and it actually has your name on?

If that is too far-fetched, give us a special armour that has our own name on it. Customize it per account, please, so other account characters can use it as well.

If that isn't possible, either, the disguises sound a lot of fun! Of course, any special item that we can use indefinitely and is humurous or "cool" would be welcome. I think we should get a minipet in addition to getting one of these new things, but I'm just greedy like that.

same for me ! something like a title including a special aura - a bright light from above saying: he's one hell of a guy/gal ! ^^
Mini pets can be traded, there is no exclusiveness about that

/edit: by saying "aura" I don't mean the divine aura from CE, more something like the glimmer on Shiro's shoulders after he gets killed at the end of Factions or the one on the player's shoulders in the cinematic after you get killed in Vizunah Square --- and this glimmer is connected with a title and is only shown when you switch on that title (which doesn't count to koabd)

I'd be dissapointed to see minipets again. As a CE owner I think I'd also be annoyed if everyone else started getting the Divine Aura.

I don't think I've seen it mentioned so far but it'd be quite cool to have a customised weapon that works sort of like a Chimeric Prism for each class. Like a Necromancer would get modifiers to Blood / Curses / Death / Reaping based on their attributes. This would probably be too nasty to balance though.

Whatever it turns out to be, I think it'd be nice if it wasn't tradable.

no just no just because you have been around for 2 years you should not get divine aura some people paid/pay a lot for the original ce to find it now is upwards of around $400+ ,that should not be just handed out
