I think that (this goes for 2 year olds without the NF campaign) we should get (as I will be a 2 year old by that time ^^) a customizable HERO. And I don't mean skill or weapon-wise, I mean create a hero character with face model hairstyle, primary class hair color, height etc. Sounds cheesy rite? But I rather have my own special travel companion rather than henchies/heroes that everyone has. He/she will work just like other heroes. And it goes perfectly in conjunction with the game too.

Other than this it could be:
- a customizable armor appearance upgrade.
- a Halo like mentioned above (they look cool)
- an aura like thingy, something flashy I don't have something in particular in mind.
- or some other customizable stuff that looks unique.

Main point is that it has to be custom, special to your char, not tradable and can be shown at will.

And I think we should get second mini-pets too. Becuz 2 years is a really long time for a character.

How would an extra slot work? They cannot possibly give out extra character slots EVERY time someone out there turns two. That's unreasonable, unless maybe it's a once-per account thing instead of once per two-year-old character.

(Not that I'd argue with it if it happened!)

How about a gift cert to any weapons crafter or armor crafter of your choice. (Sorry if it was already mentioned.. I may have missed reading one or two pages...)

hmm...miniatures again?

I was thinking about a customized weapon, like "CHARACTER XX's Magma Sword" or something like that. A weapon with the Character's Name in the Title and in another colour than "white, lightblue, gold, purple or green", maybe red...

-Or what about Music-Instruments for the emotes???

-Or clothes for spending the time in outposts...


if it really has to be miniatures again, then:

-one of the gods
-dwarves (maybe with a beer in the hand)
-the pumkin king
-a gaile gray miniature (Muaha!)
-glint
-the lich
-djinns
-gordon freeman ()
-george w. bush (in a pirate-suit...yarrrr!)

...maybe they should have some cool items in their hands like an electric guitar or a toothbrush.


Btw...i think the characters that will have their 2nd birthday should get another (better) present, than those with the first birthday this year!

I'd like to see a customized, variable weapon for characters... (like a shield... switch from 30/-2 to +45/+10al without getting a new shield)

kinda like a pvp weapon or something... as long as it's nothing tradable, I will be happy, but I don't expect anything.

Hi,
I'm Hal. Long time member, very few posts. I would like to see the stats on my Ithas bow to be max dmg so that I can use it again. I have plenty of bows...one for each day/condition of the week. But please, no more mini-anything. Soon, characters will be turning one (Factions?) and there will be a new influx of pets.

But if my Ithas bow cannot get a buff, I would like to see weapons or something different like when the mini pets first came out. Unexpected and refrshing, like.....a "Hal's glowing frisbie of pain"...

I strongly believe that birthday presents should be reusable items with purely cosmetic effects, like minipets, reusable disguises or reusable fireworks (with a cooldown like rank emotes to prevent spamming), and should be transferrable so that players can use them on all their characters and can trade extras if they get stuck with two of the same item.

Things like new heroes, storage improvements and larger bags should be presents for everyone like the reconnects and the festival hat maker. When they finally add a hairdresser, it should also be for everyone.

I'd also appreciate an age title so that players can see exactly when they're due for their next present.

I'm sorry mini-pets are cute, annoying, and the like, but how about something that actually enables our GW addiction more?! How about a title for years or xp, or maybe max birthday greens, or a special tassel or something you can wear on ur armor. Mini-pets are gone overboard i think half of one of my chars inv is filled with em(crappy ones too). Another idea how bout increasing storage as a birthday present!!? But plz not another mini-pet *begs*

Long as it wasn't a freebie Divine Aura I think it would be fine. Maybe implement a new /bonuseffect type thing to show it off for a few moments.

Of course if they made tge aura a tradeable item it would be cool.

But I perfer if the 2nd Birthday gift should be non-tradeable.

I would like to see a mini mountain troll...

And other mini pets would be nice also. I wouldn't mind seeing something other than minipets maybe special customized armors of some kind. And even the Aura idea that Killin_Frenzy came up with would be good. An idea I've had for awhile is to have a customized mini of that 2nd year old character that wields the weapon set you have equipped and wears the same armor that you have equipped that would be pretty cool if you ask me.

Hi Gaile, hi community!

My girlfriend & me would be glad about the following extras instead of a new set of minipets:
  • extra storage for event items (hats etc)
  • extra storage for vials of dye
  • NO more space in normal/resource storage (because more space = more to safe for "later" = ingame economy would go down)
  • Minipet? Yes, like a lot of other people already said: A mini of of character
    would be something really speacial (isn't this a birthday as well?). IMHO it wouldn't be difficult to realize. Some emotes should be made by the mini if the character does some like /dance.

BTW: There are some collector's that offer armor pieces for all kind of characters & sex. What about some armor pieces in the following events? 5 collectors for all kind of armor pieces?

BTW2: We got to know you in Leipzig at GC2006, Gaile, so best wishes for you & your team from Germany. Hope to see you in Leipzig this year (maybe you remember us... you took a photo of us two in Guild Wars Factions T-Shirts and put it onto your official HP).

Ok here´s my idea...

you get an artefact, which you exchange to an NPC on Balthasar´s Isle.

you can choose between some perfect golden wapons. like the NPC if you killed shiro....

these weapons have their own skin, which you not find in the game itself.
and the best...you can´t sell it ;P

or the weapons have a skin with an aura
or your charakter gets an aura if you wear the weapon...

I've some ideas.

A Home (something like a guildhall) where u can invite all your friends for a trink, a game or only to relax

A Map (combine all your continentmaps to one big Map)

A special Cap (something like Partyhat)

A Mini flying Pet ( A Bird, dragon or pheonix who always go around your hat)

A decoration-set (for a Guildhall,Home or your town)

Another Idea for B'day present:

Summon a horse or some kind to ride like Necrid Horseman or maybe riding Centaur (Zhed !), no fancy speed increase nor hp increase, just a normal horse to ride with in town and outside (like the minipet behave).

Features:
- they have their own emote (horse emote? xD)
- player can still attacking/using skill while riding the horse (outside town/outpost)
- variant: horse, centaur, pig xD, turtle, moa, etc

I do have one question here...where did you get this idea that a new mini-pet set was the most popular idea?

From all the threads i've seen covering this topic in the suggestions area, pets seemed to be mostly the last choice.

If it HAS to be a mini-pet, please make the selection far less (only 5 tops) and have it so that you can actually select which pet you get (no more random choice, after all, 2 year old characters are quite rare and it would be nice to have something better than last year).

You could even have it that if it is random, certain classes have a greater chance of a particular avatar (like rangers more likely to get Melandru, monks to get Dwayna).

Personally, my top choice for year two would still be some form of aura or ghostly wings (like paragon spell visual) ...something that CANNOT be traded and stays with the 2 yr old character.
