Exactly, do people seriously want a mini pet after 2 years of hard work and then it comes down to luck to stand a chance of getting a decent mini, seems like 2 years wasted to me but maybe a lot of people are out to make some money out of it.

Yes I know ANET don't have to do this etc... but something meaningful would go a long way.

Four Runes of Expanded Holding, customized for that character only, which add 5 slots of storage to each backpack/belt pouch/bag only for that character. Expanded items are not transferrable.

Minipets of creatures from Chapter 4.

A 40 slot mini-pet storage tab... but... this would have to be something account based, not character based, so unlikely.

A stack of birthday rockets with great visual effects, but when they're gone, they're gone.

I still like the "Signet of Miniaturization" concept... where you can target any ally or enemy and create a mini-pet of them (one use only).

I just want to make a comment about people posting ideas like "new storage" and "a house" and other such things. These are HORRIBLE ideas for a 2 year birthday preseant!

Can you imagine the uproar if ONLY people with a 2 year old character got extra storage....it would be mass chaos (over playing this a bit)! Also, what about people who have 2 characters turning 2? Do you give them this kind of preseant twice??

No, I think the best ideas for preseants so far has been more mini's, uniqe customized weapons, or "festival hat" type headgear.

I also think it is funny that many of the people that do not want more mini's say their reason for this opinin is that mini's are already taking up too much inventory space. If this is the case then obviously you enjoy/collect them and they are a good idea to add more.

just my mini-rant.

hehe.. as I first came up with the "Mini Nian" idea... can I have one for my characters FIRST birthday, please if it gets realised?

I am one of the unlucky ones who didn't have a good internet connection until last year April.

But I like the Aura idea aswell as the special emote :-)

something like "dancenew" how about a little Firework.

principally I like the idea of a birthday present NOT being something "useful" or "efficient" for the game, but something Joyful for the players.

How about a token that you can double click that will make you glow like a boss creature? (Colors based on Class)

Sorry I was dreaming a little. Back on topic you could make miniature avatars for all of the gods.

I was thinking....

Not a mini, Maybe an accesibility... A new skill, new quests...maybe a unique item. I was thinking, since around 3 million people play GW, Every week a different gift will be given for 2nd birthday. Maybe a unique weapon for December Week 3, or a new mini for Jan week 4, Maybe even a "house" as someone stated before for 2nd or 3rd gift.

I think majority of the players wanted a mini pet for 2nd birthday and who can blame them. Mini Pet is like a present for everyone and getting on your birthday is pretty cool.

Make minipets from the first birthday grow so you can use them as mounts! Also, huge red letters spelling "leet" above your head which would also shoot rockets at anybody around making them have err007s while playing music!

K, seriously. Disguises sound nice. Some extra emote or ranky flashy thing? Why not. Title? Somewhat bland. No more minipets unless they are untradeable (mini-me spouting a line you can write yourself! c.c ). Death count reset? Meh, anybody else not caring about the survivor title? One-use stuff? Pleh. Hey i know! Beards and a /twirl emote

Kind of like Hall of Fame for sports legends. There should be a place in Guild Wars that honor those in their second/third or future birthday. Your character's ghost image would be place on the wall or a statue of your characters. Since you have reach your 2nd birthday, the players would receive a special emote that said you're 2 years old. Every birhtday, more player's image would be added on the wall of fame and peoples would have different title per birthday.

Okay....first off...this will never happen but I think it is the coolest Idea you could imagine...but I'm biased since its mine

....either way, it would be a GREAT chapter 4 addition if not 2nd birthday...

Anyway, post 319 is my idea but I'm going to greatly expand on that...

We are older now, and wiser (well, some of us

) and it is time to tame a dragon!!!....I envision a quest where you must complete a series of tasks to gain the permanent attribute "dragon trainer" and the skill "call of the dragon" (just like charm animal if you will)....you get 10 hp for each level of the dragon that you will mount (a baby dragon so it doesn't fly but is still bad-arse looking) up to 20 (200 possible max hp's) to which you will be "infused" to the animal (so in other words you both die while riding)...you do other quests to obtain skills (tail whip, ferocious bite, lashing talons, dragon's fire, dragon's scale armor, etc...) but you can still utilize the whole skill bar for your personal skills....so it would be conceivable to have 7 of your normal skills with "call of the dragon" being the 8th (to summon the dragon of course) and gain just the 200 hp or you can have all 8 skills in the skill bar as dragon skills!!!....more points you put in "dragon trainer" the more damage/protection/etc. you benefit from....

well...at least I think it is coolio and it would be absolutely awesome to show off that you character is 2 years old by roaming around the realms riding on a dragon!!!!!!

As to post 319...a horse could work in the same manner too....I just think a baby dragon would be REALLY coolio....

I must admit to not having read every page of this thread, so sorry if this has already been mentioned.

How about a one time use signet that you can use on any creature or NPC (or perhaps on their corpse?) to create your own choice of Mini-Pet.

This could be somehow tied to Mahk the toymaker.. "Mahk's Signet" perhaps?

This would let people choose whatever minipet they wanted, and also if the pets are still tradeable, their rarity would be directly linked to how difficult they are to obtain.

This may upset those who have extremely rare mini-pets already, so perhaps ones that have already been issued could be excluded?

As far as pets go, that's a pretty good idea. Unfortuantely this is quite a bit harder to do. (ie: just creating icons for every monster would be a royal pain.)
At any rate, if it's still pets, I want to be able to trade/sell mine away.

I absolutely agree that it will probably be impossible to do, but hey, while we are throwing ideas at the devs, let's throw some tough ones :-)

They still might take something from those impossible ideas and come up with something workable.

Is this going to happen by number of birthdays the character has, or by what year he has the birthday in? I personally prefer the second one, because everybody is going to want the newest presents. If it's the first one only the people who have been playing since the beginning will get the most wanted prizes... If it's the second it only really matters what time of year you created the character and newer players could also get some of the prizes everybody wants. I am biased on this topic because I only just got my first birthday present on my first characters...

Really not sure about any more mini pets, I would really like more storage space and for those people that have been playing for 2 yrs we really do need it with all the new weapons, mini pets, armor and weapon upgrades, also new armors but is not a realistic gift. The idea of a aura or emote would also be great.

If they do give out mini pets for the 2nd birthday pls dont have a ultra rare pet that people get maybe 1 out of 100 to give another reason for people to charge crazy prices, I was happy to get a mini but for one person that has invested the same amount of time in the game as me get a ultra rare pet and everyone else get a common pet that are a dime and a dozen was abit unfair. Maybe have it when you open your gift you have a list and can choose what mini you want making them all the same rarity.

Someone had a nice idea about maybe special weapons with never seen before skins like some of the ultra rare weapons that are found now. I even liked the idea of giving a skill that you can capture a mini of animal or NPC in the wild but I guess that would hurt people with ultra rare pets. I mean I would like to see something abit different for the two years I have been playing. Someone had a cute idea of a mini pet of yourself but not sure how that would be implemented lol. Maybe a mini pet of something that is not even in the game I am really out of ideas.

But if you are going to give out mini's I will be glad to take it and try to find space for it somewhere

NOOOOOO!!!!! Please no more damn minipets! I really cant take them anymore!!! Please let a character holder decide if he wants it or something else!
I would really like to have an aura like a bosses have that i can turn on or off.
I havent played for 2 years and got all chapters just to get a damn minipet! >_<
They take up space and are useless.I would like ither and aura of the bosses or Zaishen helment for my warrior or some choice of good weapons with buffs like +10 damage for pve only.Titles idea arent bad ither.

no new minis, please. the first set introduced was ok, but they just aren't special anymore. you can't ever hope to have a complete collection, cause theres a new one introduced every second week on average.

and one thing i would really like to see is something that is not random. make the player able to choose his reward, don't make anything rarer than it has to be.

last year one player would get a bone dragon, another one would get a whiptail devourer. on of them is rare, the other one is not. its like saying one guy is worth more than another, even though both has played the same amount of time.
now surely someone will say that the whiptail devourer is their favorite one. its not the point. its just an example

Forget new Mini pets, I have the ultimate idea for our second Bday present and that is when that character gets to be two years old he or she should be allowed to be recreated. Like if u made him too short or tall or just wanna a different look all together. That would truly be a birthday present for many GW players.

they cant make something that benefits like a gold rare sword. they have to make something that is utterly useless I think they should make something you could hold in town or just some kind of desguise or something you could only wear in town.

I like this too. I like that idea of something that is non tradeable so the noobs can't run around with them either. Someone mentioned the warrior leaving burning foot prints. That sounded pretty cool having a unique aura for each character class.

Also if theres going to be a set of items or whatever we're getting, just make it so that our characters dont end up getting the same item/thing/whatever twice. That whole "random" aspect was annoying when you got two of the same mini pet last year.

i dont like the idea of more minipets, but if u need to give use more pets then i would like to see this one.

Fame E-Motes as Mini Pets like Deer Wolf Tiger Phönix and DRAGON (Animated or non animated)

or a Mini me that is Emoting Divine Aura or Fame E-moteing.

Dont make Minis that has no details or are tiny (Especially Rurik Varesh and Shiro). Detailed and as big as a Beetle, Kuunavang, Panda.

Let the Minipets be usefull. (Xuan Storage Minipet is a good Idea but).
At least let them fight with us (they dont need to give dmg, just the animation would be enough)

As you can see I am a new to this forum I have stopped by to read from time to time but have only just got around to registering.
I would also like to see mini avatars of the gods I think they would look cool!
But as your character gets older a few more storage spaces would be nice, may be this is something that could be worked on at a later date.
