it would be cool if you could posses your mini pet and scout around also it could level up get a bit bigger with its own uniqe skills would save you the trouble of dying whilst scouting

I rather have my character been put on a Hall of Fame island or emote than getting a mini pet that could be sold for gold.

Not sure who posted it first, but the birthday rune of holding to increase one bag's capacity (to ??) would be a great "gift" to players that everyone could actually use but wouldn't lead to any visual discrimination or clutter.

I would like a fungal wallow sized, happy-go-lucky elephant that jumps and races around as a mini pet. Kinda like Dombo with normal ear size...that would rock

Once again and to clarify, the message in our initial casual question was not to say, "The Second Birthday Present will be miniatures." We have only asked what miniatures would be desired if we do offer those as the gift or -- consider this! -- if we add more for other purposes.
And just to clarify, some of the ideas in this poll are do-able, some are not. I only caution that we all take an open-minded approach, so that no one gets locked into a certain notion and cannot see the value of any other.
Simple message there. I hope no one is confused or concerned about it. Thanks for reading.

I also think we should all get the same thing. getting something that NOBODY likes really sucks, because, simply put, mini whiptails wern't bought very often, And that happened to be one of the most common minis.

1. To use any character that you have made as heros
2. A backpack,beltpouch and 2 bags(each with a rune of holding) would be idea to improve storage space
3. As for 2 years characters (lets say a ranger) would get favor of there god (Melandru) A permanent +1 attribute to Expertise

Anet, we dont want another SOE which takes stuff away then brings it back later as an "enchanement"
Anything BUT miniature pet i'm cool with, so far (read through page 5) i like the idea of having the ability to display a profession skin for 2 year reward.. somthing that everyone could enjoy and not be disappointed when they get, of course we could turn the option off... OH how about a title?

I'd love Anet to continue giving new minis out every bday as a tradition, BUT only if something else is also given. I don't know what would be suitable as the something else, but each bday should have something new and exciting (permanent, not something stupid like 20 sparklers) to go along with the mini.

Okay, since Gaile stated "Which creatures to make into minipets?" more explicitly over other options... And I'm counting a free skill "signet of miniturization" as unlikely...

Mini Island Guardian, but make it really tall! Like just under the height of a player.

I think it's safe to assume that anyone with a two year old character has done alot of adventuring, through the same areas over and over. Not to mention, it's very likely they have done it with younger characters again.

How about instead of mini pets there is birthday costumes? Basically it works like the candy corn or elf tonics (but this will have unlimited uses), your character will change it's appearance. The costume can be any character's skin (friend or foe) in the game. I think it would be cool to see all kinds of random characters walking around outposts.

it's been stated before, but i just want to reiterate that giving 2 year old characters more storage (perhaps through a bigger rune of holding) is a great idea.
a 2 year old character has possibly been through 3 continents. in his/her travels, he/she has collected different armor sets, weapons, collectable items, etc. what use are all of the new things anet creates when we have no room in our storage?
aside from the items i do keep in my inventory, i also like to have some space to be able to pick up random drops during quests/missions so i can sell them to the merchant for pocket change.

For an example, say someone created a character on Guild Wars' 1st day of release, and then didn't play it at all until this summer. His/her character would be 2 years old, and would get the extra storage. Meanwhile, a long-time GW player had their account hacked and characters deleted. They start a new character, working hard to refinish the campaigns and filling their storage up with 1.5 k armor and collector weapons. This summer their character turns 6 months old. They won't get the extra storage for another year and a half. Does this seem right?
Extra storage is great -- such as tabs for minipets and dyes, and a key ring. But it should never be given conditionally based on a character's or account's age.
