How did you come to choose your first profession?
matt_longbow
I chose ranger, it seemed like one of the coolest prof according to the manual and did necro as a secondary...original plan was a beast master/minion master....yeah that never happened, but i still love my ranger almost 2 years old and still kicking butt.
Issac
Dang it hasn't even been 24 hours and I got over 80 posts lol.
Anyway the first profession I made was a warrior, not because I thought they would be the easest profession to play and I always like swords and knight type characters so I was always a fan lol.

Stuck between ranger and necro, picked ranger party to do with the pet and just looked most fun
after 5 months necro follow up is a lvl 11 mule who dreams of becoming an ss farmer...one day.

first for me, elementalist =)
for the one sole reason, the obvious cliche:
HOLY COW A FIREBALL!
but its still my favorite char, one profession a PUG always wants. especially after everyone moved on from the above statement to:
HOLY COW ITS F***ING RAINING METEORS

I made a mesmer first as I have always enjoyed annoying people IRL so I thought it fit. But as my guild was too small to PvP I couldn't get much experience in the PvP as a mesmer so I moved on to the Ranger and Warrior. The Ranger has been my main char since although the W is what I like to grind titles on. I still go play the mesmer from time to time but I've found that Hammer Warriors and Interupt Rangers can be just as annoying as your friendly neighborhood mesmer.
Correct Jeans
Well, because the profession I tried before led me to find a profession that I didnt even look at in the first place when getting a second profession. I went for that one. (lol. I was a noob. Ever heard of a warrior trying to nuke? lol)
HKSdivision
I chose a Warrior because I wasn't into casting spells or healing, plus I've always liked swords and doing melee damage. To this day, the Warrior is still my favorite profession!
Ahrims Assassin
I chose assassin because Factions was my first game and I was told they were the hardest to run. Also they're the coolest looking class in the game
Edit: And I'm not a ninja. I'm an assassin. (darn Naruto giving us a bad name...)

Revan Bastille
I've always enjoyed the spellcasters over melee in other games. Naturally, my first choice was the Elementalist.
Nemo the Capitalist
monk...but quickly deleted him for a tank xD
Mordakai
I tried a Necro/Ranger first (Mordakai Duahi), but didn't like him at all, so I deleted him right after I got to the Shiverpeaks. I didn't go back to Necro until Factions came out with the Flesh Golem.
My second character was Mysti Lynn, my Mesmer/Ele. Loved Fast Casting ech Nukes, even though they weren't maxed, I could cast them faster then eles, and recharge my energy to boot. But, I eventually tired of that and went on to...
Amara Dawnbreaker. She started as a W/Mo, but as soon as I could I became a W/Ra. I love pets. She's my favorite character, the only character I have that's fully completed 2 campaigns (I get bored easily and don't finish what I start). I made her an Axe warrior, and have enjoyed capping Axe elites across all the chapters.
Hopefully, if the Mesmer buff is decent, I might dust off ol' Mysti and see what trouble she can get into.
(BTW, I have 9 characters total, but only 3 are level 20. Like I said, I get distracted easily.)

Well, I bought it from the store and on the way home I opened that flap and saw a warrior with a bow attacking a bone dragon. I thought those were the rangers so I made a ranger.
But he wasn't REALLY my main. About a month in, a level 20 W/Mo helped us out on Borliss Pass. He was wearing platemail with a twinhammer. I just thought OMG right on the spot and made my warrior, who is know really my main.

Rockby Quickfoot
I picked Mesmer cause I thought that it sounded kind of like an Illusionist from the original AD&D. Nifty class and I wanted to see how it worked.

I like corpses...

started off with an ele because I heard was the most powerfull.
But then I deleted after a short while and made a monk. Then I made a Warrior and Necro at around the same time and those 3 have become my favourite profs in GW. (Assassins are awsome too :P)

Ranger-Snow Wolves are fun to send to thier doom!
Honestly I slowd down my targets with a mesumer spell then punk shot them to death until I got my pets.

I started with a necro, can't remember why.
firestorm, vampiric gaze, flare, faintheartedness, gale, Lightning Orb and no Soul Reaping
remember it like it was yesterday

I started with a Ranger because I loved the idea of having a pet ( have plenty of those in real life ). When I reached Thunderhead Keep, I decided to make a monk, it was so frustrating back then
I then made a warrior, who is my main title seeker. I used the other slots as mules, and eventually got my second account.
On my second account I made a necro and an ele. Love them both.
I recently made a Ritualist, who has quickly become a favorite.
My top 2 favorites are my ranger for it's versatility, and my Necro, probably for the same reason.

Well I started out as a n/w. I wanted to have a Shadow Knight equivalent. I liked the look of the female necromancer rather than the male ones. Did not quite work out as I wanted. In fact most of my 1600+ deaths came from my experiment. Since then I have shied away from doing the n/w thing and stayed as a caster.

Wrote all 6 core professions down on paper, put them in a hat. Let my son pick one....and Necromancer it was.

First I started as Monk that was when I was using the Trial then.
I like Healing Classes, But then my interest changed cause I was in Pre-Seering and My specialty was heal and I can't find a partner to heal so I changed to Ele.
Very boring healing someone and just hitting enemies with little damage and I didn't know that their was a Post-Seering so I stopped playing Moks when I played an Ele(Haven't reached Post yet) I liked it so then I requested from my parents for GW and played I found out their was Post but I wanted to finnish the game with my ele and deleted my ele when Factions came I made a Rit then deleted the Rit made another Ele and made a Monk I was bored made a Sin three of them finished the game when Nightfall came I played a Paragon and I hated it I wasted my time and money for Vabbian and completing the game I should have stopped when I realised it sucks and that was when I was still in Istan.
I am very sorry for wasting you're time reading my Virtual Life^^.
While I was taking about my Monk I can't stop talking.
And is it a great Idea to Delete my Paragon?
