Hexer's Vigor is a super Shadow Refuge. N/A with Shadow Form is simply the easiest way to do it.
Yep that is what i am using too now all exept the last one but i just left that spare and swap and change it? i could not think of anything at the time

Hey guys. I'm looking for a nice monk build for HM chest running. I'm running atm at Fronis Dungeon on NM, but decided to move on HM. What area should i choose? I heard Gyala run is pretty good.

Just wondering what drops you get in Melandru's Hope?? Also, can anyone post a route for a run in Melandru's Hope?? I'm a ranger so I'm guessing R/A Shadow Form dodger should work fine.

I'm a necromancer thinking about going for the chest runner title. Since Necromancers don't have great speed skills themselves, and N/A tends to be a bit faulty, what do you guys think about N/D with:

Dwarven Stability + Drunken Master + Mindbender + Mystic Regeneration + Pious Haste (maybe, but with maxed out dwarven it may not be worth it) + Vow of Silence/Avatar of Balthazar/Avatar of Dwayna (what do you think) + I'm not really sure what else.

In theory, with maxed out dwarven and asura I could see this build having constant speed + decent regen + great prot once I find out what other derv skills I can bring.

I cannot help but think that if this was effective, someone else would have definitely thought of it before me.

Thoughts?

Shadow Form, although requiring minimal practice to get used to, is far safer than Vow of Silence (or any other derv / necro elite for that matter), esp. on a necro. all you need to do is get used to how many mobs you can run by with one shadowform, and get used to how to find safe spots to heal up. a N/A also has thing like Shadow of Haste open to them, as well as Dark Escape + Feigned Neutrality to run by easier mobs. to be perfectly honest, i've used the N/A build (with some modifications) to run guildies and alliance members around - fitting in I Am Unstoppable for Droks runs, etc. - and for someone like me who doesn't run much, Shadow Form is easy to grasp and capable of some very efficient chest running.

You can FF and run "Shore" and "Stairs" by yourself, and have 2 sin heros do the rest... that way you can farm kurzick faction along with getting 1-2 chest a run. I usually run to the Rit boss and aggro to see if another chest will pop up, most of time there will be. So you can get 1-2 chest per minute along with kurzick faction point farming...

I always use A/Me for chest running. I am currently lvl 5 Elite Treasure Hunter, and this weekend I am doing some hardcore Golden Egg farming to work on getting lvl 6 Master Treasure Hunter.

I also have Shadow Form builds for pretty much all my characters so I can run myself to places. Shadow of Haste is definately recommended for professions other than Sin and Mesmers. Of course Assassin is best to have for Shadow Form and to work on Treasure Hunter as well as farming golds for Wisdom. I am level 5 Treasure and lvl 4 Wisdom (almost lvl 5)... and working on getting them both to next rank. Sin's FTW. Of course I have my own godly sin running build

Any prof can use a Shadow Form build. Something like this:

[card]Deadly Paradox[/card][card]Shadow Form[/card][card]Dark Escape[/card][card]Dash[/card][card]Death's Charge[/card][card]Shadow of Haste[/card][card]Feigned Neutrality[/card]

If you have Dwarven Stability and Mindbender, you can throw those in also to help on running.

if anyone's interested, ascalon foothills always spawns a chest on the opposite side of where you arrived. it takes about 1.5 minutes to get to the chest and then zone out and in again. so far, it's the fastest place i can think of to raise lucky title

Killer, no pic needed for ascalon foothills map as the chest spawns alternate. You end up running through the entire zone and simply grab the chest as you pass it.

Now that treasure hunter is maxed, the grind for lucky begins....

why don't people group chest run in HP, Nahpui Quarter, Imperial Sanctum and other places anymore?

The reason people ran in groups was once upon a time , one person would open the chest and whatever color it was; it was the same for the group. Awhile back it was made random and this the group benefit was lost.

How about running without armor in Hard Mode Chest hunting? Possible, I think so.
I do it in GW:EN hard mode at Borel Station. Simply run to the Snow Wurms, who do not attack you, then open the single chest and map back. No armor or build necessary.
You will break 90% of the lockpicks though so great for the Unlucky title

I've gotten as many as 7 chests in a Mirror of Lyss run.

Also you can start in mihanu and just to the wester third of the map and see up to 3 chests spawn. Then restart in Mihanu.

Anyone have a comment on Cathedral Of Flames? I've been running level one of that and can hit two chests in under 2 minutes. I'm a ranger with Paragon/W hero's egging me on.

whenever i vanq that place with 600/Smite, the amount of chests i get is fantastic. i haven't actually tried running the area yet, but i suppose it can't be too hard. it's a great place to CR Vabbian skins, too.

Well, One Day I Was In ToA And I Joined A Chest Running Group, I Currently Had My Drok's Run Build On And They Entered When I Wasnt Ready, So Instead Of Complaining I Just Ran.

Profession|W/Me

Attributes
Strength|12+1+1= 14
Tactics|12+1= 13

Build
["I Am Unstoppable"] [Soldier's Speed] [Expel Hexes] ["I Am The Strongest"] [Sprint] [Healing Signet] [Signet Of Stamina] [Feel No Pain]

"NOTE'
This Isnt My Build And I Tweeked It A Little For Chest Runs.

Equipment
Full Knight's Armor
Superior Vigor
Superior Absorption
Minor Tactics And Strength

Weapons
Any Weapon Will Do, But A +45/-2 Shield Is Helpful

Usage
As You Enter FoW, cast [["I Am The Strongest"] and [[Signet Of Stamina].

Use [[Soldier's Speed] And [[Sprint] To Run

As You Run By Skeletal Creatures Be Ready To Use [[Expel hexes] To Take Off Slow Downs. Also When You go by the Ancient Skales be ready to use [[Expel Hexes] also to take off major degen.

Use [["I Am Unstoppable"] to instantly take off cripple and to avoid getting knocked down by Abyssals.

Healing: Always Find A Safe Spot To Use [[Healing Signet] And To Alive Long Enough To Find A Safe Spot, Use [[Feel No Pain].

More Notes
This Build Can Get Through All Of The Burning Forest, The Beach, The Cave, And The Great Battle Fields, I Advise You Not To Go Through The Forest Unless You Know Your Way Through It.

I Will Add Pictures Maps And Safe Spot To Use [[Healing Signet] In Certain Areas.

Good Luck And Have Fun And Remember This Isnt My Build I Saw It On PvX Wiki.

One Last Note: My Norn Rank Is Max So I Dont Know If It Will Work With A Lower Rank Of 7.

to be honest, I wouldnt waste time chest running Hell's anymore.

People used to run it just because it was harder to survive alone and it was one of the only things to run. Now, it is pointless, but if you want one still i should be able to get 1.

Here's the build I use to run literally everywhere:

[skill]Deadly Paradox[/skill][skill]Auspicious Incantation[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Shadow Form[/skill][skill]Mindbender[/skill][skill]Dash[/skill][skill]Dark Escape[/skill]*Optional*

You can easily perma SF anywhere, even with certain energy denial spirits to some extent, although not forever. The last slot can be used for anything, if I'm chest running in, say Raisu Palace I'll use [skill]Shadow of Haste[/skill] to get the chests at the big monster spawns. If I'm just running I'll most likely bring along an anti-KD skill like [skill]"I Am Unstoppable"[/skill] or [skill]Dwarven Stability[/skill] and some beer lol.

Once you get the hang of perma SF (need a 20% enchant weapon, not a staff with HSR) running almost becomes relaxing. With the anti-KD/Cripple of IAU, its a no-brainer. Mindbender isn't expressly needed, but its nice to have, for Drok's runs I'd probably switch it with a shadow stepping skill of some sort, to help avoid getting trapped, such as in the troll tunnel.

Fow chest run on my derv/anything:

[vital boon] [mystic regeneration] [enchanted haste][signet of mystic speed] [I am unstoppable] [feel no pain] [great dwarf armor] [vow of silence]

[feel no pain] it's only in critic situation when u don't have the time to cast [mystic regeneration] and [vow of silence] cos u may get an hex/stripped/attack so u have a permanente regen on !
[i am unstoppable] obviously in case such as: get stucked in that passage where the ghost Miko is and abyssals begin to knock you down; also good for forest where u may get crippled by traps by skeletons or crippled by those wurms.

gear: gemstone axe of enchanting 20%, +5 energy ///// Amethyst Aegis of devotion +45hp^enchant,inscr. -5/20%.

Nice build, ild give it a try.
I dont know your attributes but why not faithful intervention instead of vital boon? one less thing you have to worry abt refreshing and it heals you when you need. A clear downside is the lack of + max hp but uld only normaly have to worry abt sig of mstic speed, and renewing vow. might not be a good idea in places where your hp goes down 50% a lot.

Don't lie. There are ALWAYS just 5 chests in Mirror of Lyss.
