Personally I feel that Arala's has the best composition this week, yes the wings are unnecessary and subsequently distracting, but the setting, pose and cropping really works for me in establishing a mood of heroism while modelling her sunspear armour.
Closely followed by Lokii... as the judges cited the cropping it too wide and Koss' wings look too little for him, otherwise the shot has very nice composition although her pose and shield hides her armour a bit. Better cropping/location would have really made this shot a winner imo.

Arla's was great. I'm afraid I found Melly's a bit boring and generic.
I'm not sure I agree about all those comments about the wings not being heroic, since the ACTUAL paragon's seem to do fine with them. Just my opinion though.

To me it doesn't look like Szei and Koss are dancing but more like striking a pose.
If i didn't know what the emotes were and the game I would have never said it was /dance

Judge 03: It's the details that really throw me off, both of your swords are positioned in such a way like you're about to decapitate each other.
They are both in a narrow corridor, aralas in front and her sword is positioned in a way as if guarding the group, and Koss is behind and his sword position makes him look rdy for action. Im just curious as to where you think their swords should have been? Ignorance in these judges seems to be growing every week.

I wanted to stick up for Szei's shot real quick. In my opinion, her shot looks like it could have been stamp on the cover of a comicbook about some new edgey superduo. Heroic is a little open-ended I suppose, but superheros fit the bill for me!

I really like the pose, Arala(and keep in mind, this is someone who uses his wings whenever possible so I simpathize with the addiction!).

when you're commenting on someones picture you should tell them what you think of the whole picture yes I know Nilene cuts stuff out but don't cut it to the same exact comment from all 3 judges because that makes the point of having 3 judges is stupid.. and I don't think Melly should of gotten such a great score (no offense to you melly) because her picture was still it was good yeah but it was just still and boring like she/he put not much time into the picture at all, when I took a picture that was still and boring the judges all mentioned it and complained about it..so it seems just because she used Dunkoro instead she gets praised for it it makes me wonder if I put in Dunkoro and just stood there if I'd get motw, iunno but thats really annoying I just don't think someone should get a good score for a boring picture just because they put Dunkoro instead of Koss in it

Alright final four, its time to get your creative juices flowing! For this week of competition, you will be asked to do an ad campaign for the Sunspears. Each of you must give a campaign slogan, like the one from the covergirl commercial seen above, and construct a picture to go with it! The idea of this assignment is to promote the sunspears in a recruitment type ad. So make a catchy jingle to go along with your picture; which should signify the Sunspears in some form (make it obvious, not interpretive).
This assignment is due on June 21, 2007 - a day earlier than the regular schedule.

Aww I really must get my 'creative juices' flowing, I was already ready to resign because my hands are like totally broken. I don't play much anymore except to get the assignments done (and play with character creation, shush), and I've been half-arsing them because playing for long periods of time makes my fingers & palms hurt like hell (think of massive carpal tunnel blablabla problems with added joint pains). I'm thankful for the mercy I must have been given and now I feel I must try to live up to everyone's expectations ^^;.

!Being a silly foreigner/nerd person I actually had to google-fu Covergirl, because I just didn't understand half the assignment xD. I hope the pictures in the banner are just for show, we're not actually required to hand in such close-cropped shots?

Absolutely, the banner picture is just to show that the assignment is in some form related back to modeling, rather, ANTM, Covergirl is just an example of a popular beauty campaign, and since Covergirl is all about make up, the focus is on the face! There is no need for you guys to try to achieve a beauty shot, you guys are showing sunspears, not make up!

Thank you for the answer ^^, I was also wondering if the "recruitment campaign" should be lighthearted ("join the girl guides", sunspears kicking monster butt etc) or more serious or relating to the NF plotline ("aunt kormir wants you ~ to defend our homeland" etc). Sorry if I'm being a bit silly with my questions, I'd just like to make sure since I always seem to interpret the assignments a bit wrong.

I've decided to withdraw from the contest due to a family crisis and will be gone for at least a week. I just wanted to thank everyone for the comments, criticism and support throughout the contest! I'm honored to have been a part of TNTM and have loved every minute of it.

Well I guess there's no need for me to reiterate what Miss Melly said, so my fantastic four just turned into the terrific three lol, best wishes to Melissa, but with her withdrawal comes some changes.
Firstly, because of this, Lokii Dia's MOTW prize is automatically switch to ectos, the three point bonus prizes are now out of the question at the final three standpoint, and is a definite unfair advantage.
Contestants, your chances of getting eliminated are now heightened, so put your best foot forward in this assignment, cause anything can happen, bombing this assignment will knock you off so fast, so take the time and really look at every aspect in your picture and ask yourself, what negative element can the judge bring into question?
In response to Szei's question, that's your call to make on how you want to do your assignment, just be mindful of your target audience and what the purpose is for the assignment, to encourage people to join the Sunspears.

Yeah Arala has a point...I don't think this is the finall submission though. There could be one more epic one for the final two. Unless *gasp* there is no eliminations this round and we all go to the next round and duke it out.

This is definitely not the last assignment, but since Melissa left, this is the second to last now, the last assignment for every cycle that i do will always be the "Finale", which is the in game interview and photoshoot with myself, so expect the finale photoshoot assignment next week, and probably, the winner announcement the week after.
And the mini quiz for the fifth vote to help determine who Tyria's Next Top Model is still up for grabs, so far, only one person got the whole quiz right, but that person is the only person who can't participate lol, everyone else is close, but are off by the tiniest little mistakes. I'll say this, the most frequently missed question is "Which GW Profession(s) has not been featured in TNTM as of yet", one of them is obvious and everyone just forgets the other. There are tons of little mistakes here and there like that, so everyone just look through your submission and try again! Your favorite contender could definitely use your support if they make it past this round!
