Monk, hands down, I've tried ZB, SoR, WoH, and more, 2 PvE monks tried and lots of PvP, It just never gave me the rewarding feeling I get from playing an Assassin/Dervish/Ranger/Mesmer/Elementalist. I guess I prefer destroying over saving.
Laharl the Angel
Assassin...
their chain attacks become annoying when trying to take on many enemies and your hench/heros kill the foe before you can use the second link
it would be nice if it was linked to you, so you could lead attack this guy, off-hand that guy, and dual the other... repeating strike could be one of the few that requires you stick with the same enemy you started on.
Over all, an assassin doesnt have enough decent shadow steps/heal/attack that can all be thrown together to make a nice build with all three. even if there was, that would probably neglect deadly arts : /

Rits.
I detest spirit camping. You summon spirits which throw balls at enemies so you have these otherworldly bodyguards. Lather, rinse repeat. /yawn
Also, the channeling line has some imbalanced spiking skills.

My vote goes to monk.
I hate being fully responsible for others and I just find them to stressful to even bother with. I only get to play on weekends and it is a waste of my time to stress out over what others are doing.

You stand in the edge and stay out of action plucking arrows at moving targets, laying a plethora of spirits behind buildings. To me, the only way to actually engage in action with a Ranger is to equip the trusty scythe/hammer and pound/slash your way with a pet.
Other than that, if you actually want to provide dmg, your potential is unrivaled with the warrior's knock-down after knock-down or assassin spike.

although mesmers have some really cool abilities and uses, i simply dont like em.

Can't really judge on my experiences since I've only played as Warrior and Elementalist, but Paragon is my least favourite in looks. Just don't like their armour, weapon and fighting animation.=\

My vote goes for Paragon.
Before everyone goes "omg you dont understand the class", my PvE Paragon is protector of elona and protector of cantha and I played a paragon in GvG.
I don't dislike the paragon because it is useless. You can do decent PvE builds with paragons and in PvP they were invaluable for a while (and still form pretty good groups). However none of these roles are fun. In PvE, you can do a retarted mending refrain build that makes you cast Anthem of flames every 10 seconds while running towards the next group. A slightly better choice is spearmastery/command buffs. Yes you get some nice spear damage, but with no skill whatsoever involved. Wait for recharge, press button, done. Neither is there any skill involved in casting the command shouts. As soon as you can, pump them out. You could play paragon while placing a piece of cardboard in front of your screen, all you ever need to look at is the skill bar.
At least warriors get to pull and hold aggro. Monks have to watch for spikes and manage their energy. Rangers and Necros can interrupt important enemy skills. Paragons? Nothing. Just press c and 1-8 as soon as recharged. Boring.

On the healing front, passive healing just isn't as satisfying as active healing. I think that's why a lot of newer monk players stick with healing rather than protection. Para's just don't have that much active healing. The fact that they don't have a good way to track who's got what shout on them only makes it worse.

Assassin, not because i think they suck(i don't), but because it pretty much forces you to play alone because no one wants em... unless u got guildies.
Alleji
Paragon.
Because I hate playing against them. A 106 AL character that pumps out unremovable party-wide buffs while doing damage comparable to warrior's auto-attacks is not balanced. Moreover, it's not fun. Both for the paragon player and the entire opposing team.

Assassin....now ignore the name of my ranger >_>
The class is fun and all and is basically like an uber swordsmanship war with lotsa condition and hex spammablity. But theyre pretty much the Rogue of GW when it comes to places like RA and hero battles and some HA. Just basically a character to be rolled to be cheap against any caster without uber self heals or armor buffs. My war and ranger can shrug off sins without really thinking about it but since i dont like warriors overly much and i only play ranger (although its my favorite) every now and again, im basically stuck playing squishee....and zomg a sin.....wait maybe he'll have a good build for on...nope just another tiger sin *sigh*. i dont mind the occasional test assassin build thats completely un expected like the signet spike was for all of 30 minutes. or even running 1 sin with fevered dreams and uber condition spams and another with temple strike in AB thats at least taking builds and making them useful as well as making them take some skill. but my god if i hafta see shadow prison+tiger stance one more time imma start brinign sig of clumsiness as a staple.

tight pick between ele and derv
ele because there isnt a lick of talent in playing one. pick the skill you feel is prettiest, FIRE. blind bots, warders, and geotanks make me so sick its like watching 1000 boa sins run naked through a hall with frenzy on. >.>
dervs... simply put, i believe they are the single worst implemented class in the game. why waste time putting on garbage spells, that in high level pvp, end up HURTING you in the end, just so you can do some mediocre damage, with little to no spiking, and just to say your auto attack with a 33% IAS is on the same level as a hammer? junk, utter junk. i'll take on a million healing hands wammo noobs before i EVER let another brick like that class on my team for anything. even the "good" players half of the time are running earth prayers and healing like there's no tomorrow.
play reapers sweep or the avatar of melandru cookie cutters, and maybe i'll look twice at you.. maybe. otherwise, wait till the warrior's done with your monk, cause he'll be after you next.
*wipes forehead* sorry, can anyone tell i hate dervs?
warrior/mes/para/rit ftw!

Paragon. I Gave up on it really quick.

Ritualist closely followed by Paragon.
Neither of them take much skill to use effectively in most cases.

Paragon.
Just what is a player paragon supposed to do outside a player group?Buff the NPC's while they fight and he holds back?
Close second is monk. Not because the class is so bad but because people give them little to no appreciation while expecting them to keep the party alive, they are ignored. But id also like to say that monks can be real arseholes themselves, for example when they think they are to important to pay to enter FoW like the rest of us, or when they whine and threathen to leave when things arnt going there way.
Nope..dont like either of them, no sir i dont. Would love a paragon in my group tho but the solo abilities seem lousy.

I don't get all the Paragon hate tbh. I enjoyed playing my paragon in PvE (I prefer ranged characters / casters anyway), but then I tried playing with a Stunning Strike build in AB. Stunning Strike is fantastic...bye bye caster!
My vote was warrior. I'm not that fond of Melee characters as it is but warriors, or more specifically, WAMMOS drive me freakin' insane!

Monk: I hate focusing all my attention on the party and none on what we're fighting. It's far from boring, but it's something I mostly don't enjoy doing.
fenix
Every class introduced after Prophecies. But mainly Ritualist. They need deleting, as they are COMPLETELY STUPID. Because of the way Rits work, someone who is a 'good' Rit, will be terrible at everything else, but someone who is good at any other caster, is automatically an excellent Rit. Delete them please Anet.
Surena
You know, when a ranged character like the ranger himself had to equip a hammer to become deadlier, something with his skills was wrong. By introducing the Parafag the room for more imbalances widened while we should have been given proper bowskill balances and no second ranged class with too much of an AL.
pamelf
Assassin and Warrior are equal in my opinion. I don't like the chained skills with the Assassin because I feel that it severely limits what I can do, or what combinations I can try out since I always have to link three different types.
Warrior is purely asthetic. Both the male and the female warriors are simply ugly characters with ugly armours...

I've voted for Rt, but that's only because I could only vote for one
I have deleted my Warrior a long time ago, he could have been my vote.
But then, I see some uses I did not see at that time
I could have voted Sin, but I remember how powerfull they can be against casters in a good team.
I could have voted P or perhaps D, but I have not played them long enough to be really sure about it.
The reason I voted for Rt:
It's the profession I still have a character for and don't play anymore.
This could change, probably for P or D.

Moa Bird Cultist
Firstly, my 2 cents on Paragon: Usefulness wise, a lot of people need to get over the constant nerfs to the class. Example: Stand Your Ground lasting 40 seconds and affecting all allies for 10 energy on an x/P was simply the most imbalanced skill I can think of. As it stands, they are still at least a B-Tier class in terms of raw potential. Are they fun though? That's open to interpretation and how you want to use them. As with any class, you can make it a lot more fun by making it into something it's not. So my Para is a Sword Paragon and he's huge fun to play. But I hate the armours, I really do...
And my thoughts on Assassins... Scythes + Critical Strikes = Win. Simple equation, try it for yourself
My words to everyone who singled out elementalists... Fire is only 1/4 of an elementalist's repertoire. Pretty much everyone who singled out the ele, cited 'pump out meteor shower/fire magic repeatedly, boring and way too easy...' You know, Eles have come a long way since prophecies and are far more versatile than they used to be. And as for our outfits, well, we don't all look like hookers tyvm
Theres a few candidates for my least favorite.
Ranger: I love my Ranger, I love the design of the class, the feel and the way they play. But the unfortunate fact is that outside of PvP spike teams, they are outgunned by just about every other class in the game. What saves them is their excellent lockdown game and the fact that they are actually enjoyable.
Mesmer: Powerful? Yes. Caster and Melee Lock? Yes. Heavy damage skills and spammable damage? Yes. Fun? Not really... Basically, I just don't like the feel of the class, even though it is one of the most versatile caster classes out there. I'm not huge on the high and mighty look either.
And the winner is...
Ritualist: Slow. I started casting a spirit chain and fell asleep on the job. I made my Rt a Rt/P with all P skills. That is all.

I voted Paragon. Very dull class, not interesting to look at or play as.
I was also tempted to say Assassin. I don't actually mind the class, but I dislike all their faces/hairstyles and none of their weapons nor armour looks particulary good either. Hopefully that's fixed with Eye of the North.
