I felt inspired and decided to do some of the assignments! So far I've done one of the seven sins (I have plans for more) and the summer wear assignment.
They're not as good as the contestant's ofcourse, but I did discover a spiffy armour combo :P

Hey! very nice idea for the Wrath screenie ! plus the pose works pretty well for this ! Too bad your face is hidden but its still a pretty cool picture.
I like your summer outfit middle pictue allot too that one looks definately pretty good the pose is elegant and sexy and so is the combo.
Very good descriptions too imo especially compared to mine wich were AWEFUL ;p . They're informative and fun to read(ex the volleyball part)

I like the armor combo in the other shots, it is nice. I don't like how your hand is cut off in this shot though, nor the background.

Sihaya, I quite like the idea behind your Wrath shot. However, the background totally overshadows your character and makes her look a little too tiny. For me at least, Wrath is about being a really loud presence, something that commands attention. Your shot has really nice composition and the idea, but a shot where you are bigger might have worked a little better.
Oooh, I like the armor combo in your other shots too! The middle picture is the best one out of the three, she really looks like a hot summer model there. As for the bikini shot, her hand getting cut off bothers me too... and again, she's really tiny and letting the background overshadow her. The water looks a little too solid and cold to make the shot work as a summer advertisement.
I love your necro though, she's so cuuuuuute~ <3
I was also inspired to try to get some shots of the sins. The first one I went for was Pride (a hard concept to make into a shot!) and something like this happened:
It's not really Pride... my Sada looks less like Pride and more like Tyria's Next Top Mama scolding young Koss. The background is useless as well, but I didn't have time to look for the perfect spot since being alone with henchies I had hell of a time getting Koss to stand still long enough to get a shot. Oh well.
And a quick shot at Envy, as my rit was passing through the greeny places:
I kind of like how she looks a little insecure, and has her hands balled up into fists of frustration while looking upwards.

I'm not gonna post in the original thread, because one 1. what I gonna ask in a little bit will make sense that its in here...2. I'm avoiding starting a fight by what I'm gonna ask, and it seems to be a little more laid back over here.
Well, I'm not whining or anything but it was tough to think of something for my picture. Pride isn't that easy to express through Guild Wars. I tried using the sin's color: Purple and I kept in mind that Pride was the mother of all sins, by far the worst sin of them all (Thanks Nilene lol).
So since this is in the request forums, I was wondering if anyone else came up with a Pride picture? Just for fun, or just to rub it in my face that I failed to represent the sin all together lol, which ever you like. Just a fun little thing, because I just want to know how anyone else would represent Pride.

i seriously think the picture itself really does represent pride. your idea was good imo. The problem for me is the background... the Vortex litterally pushes it in the Wrath direction.Seriously .. it's only the background that brings this effect for me... but the background you chose has allot of power wich brings things a bit out of balance from what you planned i guess. I guess the domain of secrets or Talus Chute might have been better since they have a calmer Background ( and the domain of secrets still looks dark if you wanna go in that direction )

I really think you nailed pride dead on in your picture. I thought it was one of the better poses of the week to depict your specific sin. The only thing I didn't like was the same thing the judges had issues with. That backround although great just didn't work for me with that sin. I think maybe you should have tried to find some sort of throne/pedistile; something that says "I'm better than you" to stand on. Anything really that puts you above the crowd would do. I was going to try this one but realized I need way to many people to pull of the shot I wanted. So I went with sloth for this week because I found it to be quite difficult to look pretty while being grey and boring, I think
Bierflesjes did a great job on hers.
Like the other's have already said, its really just the background that throws off pride in your picture Lokii, the pose is solid.
If you we're looking for some other interpretations of pride, the judges and I did do a couple. We did some using a butterfly mirror, going for the vanity look. We also did one using random windows around guild wars, making it look like our characters we're checking themselves out in the window. We also made new characters that looked exactly like each other and had them pose together to make it look like this narcist-self-indulging personality, but that was borderline lust, so what you did was good, just the background was a little off.

hey hey there ! Seems the thread is pretty calm at the moment so I decided to bump in with my discarded shots ;D
Well for my part i decided to Choose Summer Newmentz for the inspiration assignment and more specifically her very last shot before elemination because to me it was VERY memorable. The surpsise and shock this picture brought in was delightful.
So here goes the first one i would have totally submitted but ... destiny apperently was against it... ( Curse those +6 T_T and that weird wooden Cross in the background >.<)
This one i thought was pretty cool too but it hid my face a bit too much and it might look too fierce for a modeling shot
And here my last shot with the boss not being Tender at all on me ... ( NOT IN THE FACE !!!!! Q_Q )

Okay so I finally decided what to do with that spare character slot and here she is:
