The world of GW1 will still continue on, ANet MIGHT (emphasis on might) add more content beyond GW:EN, but if they don't, you still have everything you already have. They aren't pushing a "kill switch."

Nevertheless there is still the possibility of this “death” happening, in which there is absoluteness to why our characters can not travel from GW to GW 2.

Well, the real reason are characters can't crossover into a COMPLETELY NEW GAME is because Lyssa never managed to perfect the Time Travel spells. I mean, the last time they were used, bodies ended up with the wrong heads, dogs and cats rained from the sky, and the community rage-quitted.
All joking aside. The reason you can't bring your characters across is that it's a different time. As much Mending as we put on our warriors, I doubt even that will stave off the ravages of old age. GW2 is going to be 100 years in the future. It's a nice way to rewrite professions and mechanics (note: this is why you can't transfer armor, gold, weapons)

So my question if your character does end up “kicking the bucket” in EotN how will you feel? Furthermore if you could choose a death for your current characters what would it be and why?

Do the characters need to Die En Mas ala Gwen in the BWE?
Who's to say that this multi-campaigned Expansion doesn't resolve the pressing problems beyond the storyline (Post-War Kourma and Istani relations, The Charr invasion, the Dwarven Wars, Post-Shiro Kurzick and Luxon relations, etc.) - Gaile and the Developers already said GW:EN will tie up loose storylines. So why can't our characters simply solve problems, life their life and then shake their heads at their ancestors 100 years later for getting into some new kind of trouble?
After all, if our characters die (without supposedly procreating) how will their descendants pick up said lineage (Hall of Monuments) and sally forth?
"Let me tell you a story about my Grandfather Morty... poor bastard smothered himself to death under a heaping pile of Troll corpses. What a guy!"
While I'm not a fan of "Fluffy Bunny Happy Endings," that still doesn't mean the game can't resolve itself without resorting to ".... and they all die, somehow."

But to answer your question, of how I would see my characters dying?
My casters would probably simply grow old, perhaps take on students of their own, and try to put some sort of rebuilding effort into place in their choice of three near post-apocalyptic continents. After all, magic is about knowledge, and knowledge comes with time and grows, so it follows.
My warrior would go out in a blaze of glory, no other way I can see that happening. One doesn't spend their whole life at the cusp of battle only to fade from existence.
My Paragon would probably head into seclusion, trying to atone for whatever atrocity he did to the Gods that caused his powers to wan with every update.
My Dervish would probably return to a life of faith and obedience to the wills of the Gods.
My Assassin most likely would return to a life of crime, having had enough of "doing the right thing."
And my Ranger would continue to hug trees!
Satisfied?
