Elite Tome Farm?

Hiho all. I need a build to farm elite tomes. What prof? I dont know, any.

I need something for monk, derv, warrior, ranger, paragon or necro.
I prefer bosses near city exit (Suneh near kamadan will be ok) or this one paragon boss near Sunspear Great Hall. If you know any good build please tell me.

I'm using that build and I have some Elite Tomes

If you're looking for boss-killing builds with those professions, I suggest you look around for W/N Grenths Balance builds, and for 55 HP necro Spoil Victor or SS builds.

Bosses from whom you can't cap elites don't drop tomes, so that Softskin guy on the Plains of Jarin is NOT a good target.

Jihail Darksong in Resplendent Makuun has given me at least 9 elite Paragon tomes and close to that many copies of his green.

Some of the easiest warrior bosses to get to are in Factions. I'm not sure of builds, however. As an elementalist, I found Strongroot the easiest to reach. But he gave me about 4 copies of his shield and no tomes. There also a a couple of often-farmed bosses in Boreas Seabed explorable.

Guildwiki should be your source on all details except builds. For builds this is the place.

Ranger: [wiki]Zelnehlun Fastfoot[/wiki] easy farm with N/A; for build check out the thread here in farming on Rilohn Refuge Spider Farm (it doesnt say hard mode, but its in there, I use a variation not in the thread, 16 blood, 10 shadow arts, 8+1 or +3 soul reaping: spoil victor, signet of sorrows, awaken the blood, vampiric swarm, dash, dark escape, shadow of haste, and shadow refuge. Theres a video for how to do the run in the thread.) For the run use high health armor, then swap to 55 gear when you pull (or after, but it's safe). funny thing is best bow is his green for pulling.
Warrior: Personally I like the Hulking Stone Elemental boss: [wiki]Cobble Poundstone[/wiki] but he doesn't spawn every time. Alternately I go for the minotaurs outside of Ice Tooth Cave, there's a level 27 boss there, sometimes. (any 55 damage build for these guys, or pick another warrior that always spawns)
Paragon: Newby Island, Nightfall any 55 build, Plains of Jarin, can't remember his name, he's got a few popup friends though. Alternatively [wiki]Jishol Darksong[/wiki] doesn't much like [wiki]Spoil Victor[/wiki]. (Mo/N or N/Mo 55 with spoil victor) but bring lots of regen as you'll be on fire a lot! I tend to run with both healing breeze and blood renewal.
Necro: My opinion is the easiest target is [wiki]Craw Stonereap[/wiki] go 55 with spoil victor, change to high health armor after clearing the way to him, and SV him around the corner
Dervish: probably easiest to just kill Bubahl Icehands or deatheater by clearing with heroes and henches and sending away for boss. (Mo/N or N/Mo 55 build with your high health armor - I tend to run vamp gaze or blood of the aggressor in addition for self heal/extra damage)

/agree with Lennymon on Craw... coincidentally, Zarna Stonewrath, an ele boss, is right behind him. You can easily try for 2 elite tomes in one run. I know you don't need the ele tome... but they sell fairly well

A/E E/A solo green farmer and Woe Spreader. That's ur target for necro tomes.

If you hit the Yeti bosses outside of the Luxon entrance to Aspenwood with the quest Return of the Yeti, you can get Warrior, Ranger, Monk, and also Rit tomes.

Oh, one note: I've gotten elite tomes from bosses which do *not* have a cappable eite, so perhaps they drop less from those bosses, but they DO drop.

E/A is better than A/E for farming purposes.

Ive been farming as a worm at Shattered Ravine. Able to kill 1 Monk and 3 Ranger bosses. Very easy, safe and quick

wuts the drop rate of elite tomes on these bosses? i heard its fairly low, much lower than they drop their greens

Also Byzzr Wingmender is an easy target with spoil victor in HM, just stand behind the rock thats between you and Byzzr ( that way the popups dont pop and you dont get hit by his 'arrows' ). So you only need 55hp and Spoil victor, combined with insidious parasite or an enchant removal for when he has healing breeze on him. Killed him about a 100 times the past 3 days but no tomes yet ( got some passage scrolls to Fow and UW and some nice golds though )

warrior - you can always n/mo mo/n the gyala hatchery explorable bosses, takes few sec's to run to there but he's down in no time
para - darksong
