Keep on reporting them if you feel the need to. Eventually enough flags can be used to temp ban an account but the guy isnt going to get a permenant ban for swearing. unfortunately.

Unfortunatly, i have to agree... if you don't like swearing, turn on your chat filter, but again, this isn't about swearing, this is about somebody purposely offending someone else. If you need a fix though, put them in your ignore list for 2 days, then remove, 9 times out of 10 the won't bother you again.
Oh, and to those of you saying "z0mg all kids are unilliterate little yobs lolol!!1!!1" I'm only 14, and yet i know more than a few 18+ who are less mature, as said by a few guildies...

You are way WRONG Believe it or not, there are people in this world who are offended by swearing. It could be the way they were raised, religious beliefs, etc. That doesn't make them immature; it just means that they made a conscious decision that they don't like or approve of it. By the way, making your own decisions, stupid or not, is a sign of maturity.
As for me, swearing doesn't bother me, but I believe there is a time and place for it. Swearing can be BAD if you abuse it. With that, I challenge you to prove me wrong

Although I myself do not understand why some people are offended by swearing, it is not a matter of maturity.

Seriously though, swearing is blocked by the chat filter. you will run into people who swear everyday. I am a foul mouthed sailor on occasion, and I shouldn't be banned for it.

yea well I wish the filter would be editable to include a slue of other word not nessisarily dirty but no less offensive to see at all.. that and a unlimited ignore list would go a long way to cleaning up the language issues in GW.
We all know what it comes from its a free to play MMO so it brings in the riff raff,... thats what we have to deal with to have a fun free to play game unfortantly... But it certainly should have a AO rating in my opinion with the stuff that goes on in this game from time to time...

It's the internet, nothing new that childish (or mature) people cuss for no good reason. I just laught at anyone who says things about my mom, cat, or w/e I really couldn't give a ....

And the immaturity is not due to it being Free-to-Play. You have this kind of behavior in any multiplayer game.

Filtering your life because you don't want to see it is denying what's happening in the real world. If you're trying to filter the game for your kids then it's more important to sit them down and explain that other people say things they shouldn't say themselves.

Same reason the hotcoffee mod ended up getting a AO rating for a game. the content became offensive an inapproprate to young kids playing. something that is very true with language in the game quite often... Maybe not AO but M for sure...
I often think it gets way to out of hand in some of the districts. and saying all kids talk like that is no excuse. most of them need a good smack in the mouth anyway to get their attention that this is inappropriate.
Its not my fault your parents do not teach you how to act, but it is my fault for letting a kid of my responsibility to see it. and a Game designers responsibility that a game with a E rating keep the community at the very least civil to people playing in it. No I am not saying it has to be uber restrictive. but I know for a fact that some things can be implemented to keep people from abusing each other just cause they want to be so disgusting to each other. Prime example f-bombing enough time resulting in a temp chat ban. swearing in any form leet speak or otherwise needs moderation in some way. Either that or put the underage kids in restrictive districts. that would work too...
It does not change my personal opinion that the actions of the community should be considered in the rating for the game... and as it deteriorates it should loose some ratings with the gaming standards board. That would encourage the makers to maintain a good and strong filter list. and put automatic system in place to deal with the extra crude people in game.

Oh and No. Hot Coffee had to do with modding something that was encoded into the game already, so in that case, it actually was the game. Here it's not the game, but the people playing the game..which isn't actually part of the game so to speak, in that technicality. Oblivion was made M for the same reason, because you could mod in boobehs! and other things.
Also HT it's not the kids who do it. It's usually us 18-25 year old adult like people who do it. Another thing HT, you won't get a good community, without swearwords. Sorry it won't ever happen, especially in Guild Wars. It's 2 years old now, a lot of people are bored and they'll log on just to grief and terrorize others. Some have 2-4 accounts with which to do so! So before trying to make everything peaceful. Either bend over and accept it or just go with it and not let it bother you and you'll be better off and not wasting as much time when it's futile to do so.

lol ok.. its not like Im an angel you know I just do it in my own private TS that my guildies use... But I don't like to see it in the open when I know younger people are present and then when I say something to that effect it gets like 2000% worst almost immediately just cause it was said...
I have had many people PM me in game asking why people are so rude to them, and all I can say is to turn off all chat and get them invited into a known polite guild for people to play with... (notice I didn't say mine cause yea even we have been rude to each other at times. But we do have allied guilds that are comprised of younger people and we tend to be more civil when playing with them.)

Oh, and I am unfamiliar with hot coffee, but the decission to change Oblivion to M was particularly stupid, as it also required direct intervention by the user to alter the content - something that can be done with any game (you don't see them changing the rating on the SIMS because someone can create a nude mod for it).
