Whenever I do Nahpui Quarter, I'm always the unwilling recipient of at least 5 white cockatrice staves. That always happened, and once I got something like 12. As for everywhere else, I find that canes and fire wands will always drop at some point during a game session, and they will never be gold, max, or have anything useful to salvage.

Getting yet another (white) bow usually does that for me. I've never even had a ranger. But staves are frequent too. As a result I always have a large stack of wood planks to sell when I get back to a town.

Whites, Blues and usually Purples are just Merch-fodder for me anyway so I generally don't care what they are... but when it comes to golds (and the occasional noteworthy purple):
#1. Useless Foci. Usually with only one variable, and it turns out to be a crap one. Merch-fodder. Collector-foci FTW.
#2. Absorption Runes. I'm not that desperate for Koss to have -2 damage reduction on his hands... It is always a disappointment to find these, even above and beyond the level of normal worthless runes (e.g. Superior Deadly Arts or Air Magic)
#3. Req.13 weapons that might actually be useful if they weren't Req.13. This goes especially for Req.13 +5 Energy martial weapons and various Req.13 staves.
#4. Clothing or armour items that turn out to have both a valuable insignia AND rune on, and which break after I salvage one of them. >_<;

Well i've earnt about 100k from the amount of stone summit badges i get, normally when i'm in shiverpeaks every drop i get is a stone summit badge while everyone else in the group gets constant purples or golds.

i get a whopping pile of *** most of the time, but sellign it to trader is fine and dandy, most annoying is the reoccurring crap gold drops from locked chests, no matter where i am its bad, usually req 13 or 12,

I have the same problem as Darkobra, I get a stupid amount of fiery dragon swords, both max and none max! The first couple that dropped I was pleased, since then though it's a case of "whoop de do, another FDS.", followed by yet another Koss/Jora getting a nice new FDS. That and my wife tends to be quite happy about how many of these I have, she keeps nicking them for her heroes.

Whenever I get a Fiery Dragon Sword, if I can be bothered enough not to merch it on the spot... I'll take it over to a newbie area and call out that I have a free sword for a warrior in need.
It is so amusing to see their little Mending-splashed eyes light up at the sight of a Fiery Dragon Sword... and they're so delighted when I give it to them, completely oblivious to the fact that it is a genuinely crap weapon.
Seriously... you should try it some time.

Collectors items and crap materials. Skale fins, scales, bones, and collectables worth nothing such as mandragor husks and things as such.
They never come in an amount where it would be more proftibale to keep them in my inventory rather than drop them for another non max white item.
And when I need either material, it immediatly stops dropping -.-
(I also hate non inscribable gold focus items)

Def alot of raven staves and fire wands, like some ppl here. I also get waaaaaay too many holy rods and truncheons . . . lots of truncheons, good gold ones and crappy purples. They are everywhere. And troll farming, even though I am expecting them, mountain troll tusks make me cringe each time I get one. I also had a fun time when over the course of a long quest in NF, a guildy had some quest on where Hekets only dropped their leg meat . . . there were 40-ish of them laying around after a while :-0
