We went straight for the purple monkey. Killed him in about 15 secs. After he was down we ran out of his room and pulled the groups and killed them. To be honest it was a blast just about the most fun I have had in GW in quite awhile.

My friends and I were laughing the entire time.

killing all waves w/o pulling priest was fun, killing mallyx was too easy - we ignored all spawns and killed him in seconds then run out of the room and killed w/e left

if anyone is going to do the whole place one time (The quests to get to Mallyx etc.), I'd be happy to come along as a D/E Obtank or for ursanway!

Because finding a PUG there and then is impossible, worse than all the w/mo in FoW >_<

DoA is still my favorite playing area....
Haven't tried this UrsanWay yet.
And as for what I have seen..ID1 and AD1 are starting to fill up nicely?

As a necro I would need only the Ursan blessing skill to run this build. What about if the blessing ends?

Also is it importnat to have LB 8 nand Norn 10...I have LB 5 and and Norm 8? I do not want to join and gourp and screw up the quest becuase I have a low ranking.

in the citadel you will be fighting enemies most of the time and you gain energy whilst attacking, I use a zealous scythe as well to get most energy regain by hitting multiple foes as well usually can keep it all the time with this

Thanks well some ppl argue that its not that important but when we took pity on some low-ranked pug in doa ad1 and took him with us the difference in damage output was striking - nothing was dieing in time. when 4 ppl use aoe damage skill at the same spot they will kill not only the target, but a few mobs near the target, and it might trigger the next spawns while u still have huge mob on ur hands to take care of. thats where every little bit of extra damage counts, u have to kill them all be4 the next spawn start attacking u and the priest. 4 ursan tanks with maxed ranks can handle it, of cos 3 tanks with maxed ranks might be able to make it happen even if the 4th ursan tank has low lb/norn ranks, but then it'll be leeching of cos

any tips for the cave in gloom? my team is having trouble surviving the waves no matter how fast we kill (4 ursans, 1 monk, 2 rit heroes, 1 para hero). we had no problems in the other 3 areas or mallyx. it's been a lot of fun so far!

Ursanway has worked wonders in most of DoA, but stuck in Foundry, specifically the third room... any ideas?

Ursan works great, finished veil in 1 hr 27 mins with 4 people 4 heroes...

but getting stuck in foundry, in normal mode, you can't use pet/traversal to at least have one person stay outside the room as a insurance policy. we still get owned in chamber 3 where there are 4 group of titan patrols with dryders...

any ideas/strategy/input will be greatly appreciated!

3rd room my teamate ran straight to the other side hugging the wall.. we spawned them 1 group caught on to him and we thought we were dead, but we managed to kill them all and were able to safely lure one group at a time

thanks for the input. Yeah, we were thinking maybe we are engaging them in the wrong spot as the patrols get easily aggroged near the gate...

However, can you be a little more specific as where this spot might be, where you can only engage one group at a time?

Do you mean whole team run across or do you mean having one person run across and lure the spawn away as to give the team more time to kill the spawn that is near?

I think our problem is just getting overwelmed.

Imagine you're standing at the gate into the third room. Everyone hug the right wall and push forward into the room. After everyone gets in, the patrols will spawn. You will see a group of misery titans right in front of you.

That is the corner you want to get into. There is not a lot of room to move around in however so be careful not to aggro additional groups.

I stood there with a group of 5 people and 3 heroes, we had the ursans stand in front of the monk (he brought the heroes) and we formed a wall. We kept dying in the last room, so you have to run back, recover and attempt again. Same with fury, had to kill single targets and most of the time only the monk survived and had to rez the others. But we killed fury with 60dp .

well in my experience in normal mode times should be like this:

Gloom 15min
Veil 1hour 10min
Foundry 1hour 10min
City 15min

And mallyx about 15-20

we finally beat foundry in about 2.5 hours with ursan, it was still long but bearable, lol. Got to Myllyx without much of trouble....but getting owned at Myllyx.

This is the first time we did Myllyx, is there any trick to this?

The problem is the environmental effect, are we suppose to kill the spirits first? And then a group of margonites spawn, we couldn't kill the ki either dude to constantly loosing energy..

Please advice, thanks.

did mallyx teleport any of u out of the room? it happened to us quite a few times - got unlucky i guess, it was posted on wiki that this bug was fixed long time ago but we still somehow triggered it few times :/ we still killed him tho. i'm not sure if it happened to any1 else, never saw it posted; i think mb it happened cos some of our heroes had staves instead of axes/swords/spears but i doubt we can ever confirm that our weapons actually affect mallyx behaviour...

We gaze of fury the listless soul (i think)-- it's really annoying because it's effect makes maintaining the ursan form a bit harder. just have a non-ursan person or a X/rt hero use gaze on it when mallyx respawns it. then we just beat on mallyx until his spawns arrive then finish them off before resuming our attack on him.

Been doing this build for some time. Well we run 4 people with ursan 2 n/rt(soul reaping rules for this build) 1 paragon and 1 lod monk. We did a gloom/foundry run in little over an hour and a half. 3rd room is actually really easy in foundry once u know how to do it. What my group does is go in get the spwns to come and we back up to the gate. Ursans are a little ahead of the necs and monk. We lure the anguish titan group first. Spike down 1 anguish titan, then kill the despair, then the 2 fury titans. Then we take the next anguish titan. So forth and so on. If we aggro the misery titans it sno big deal we still kill all the anguish titans first and their spwns. If for some reason a misery titan dies we quickly kill the rage titan. Earth spells in a small area hurt. Its really that easy as long as u dont aggro the terrors my team has taken on the misery and anguish at the same time fairly easy.

As of right now we did quad run used 1 Armor of salvation 1 essence of celerity(Both Gwen consumables that make an incredible differnce) in city, Used 1 of each in veil, 1 of each in gloom, 2 of each in foundry. Total quad run time was around three hours. i beleive the total time with mallyx was 3 hours 22 minutes.

Also works like a charm when u have 4 ursan people with r 10 norn Striking for 200+ dmg= gg

(Hint) This build makes vanquishing any area a joke. Just thought i would let yall in on that tip

i never really did DoA before......we finished the quest in the city.....shouldnt the city lines in the mallyx quest be crossed out after? or is the city quest something completly different?`thx in advance pm me

After you get the reward I believe their is another quest if not then the spwns happen automatically. You have to kill 3 bosses after what u did that come from the stygian veil door way. With correct pulling its really easy.

So once again, GG. No matter what i say ur gonna say u do it faster so i will post a screen shot once i get home of the quad we did last night in 2 hours. We ended up beating mallyx in 17 minutes. Total run time was as follows. City 21minutes, Veil 40 minutes, Gloom 18 minutes, foundry 41 minutes. Total run time with killing mallyx 2 hours 18 minutes. Added the extra minute from us getting the chest and arguing over which green is worth more.

Btw Lets stop fighting and admit that this ursan run is fun as gw has ever been and Simath if u are doing the normal run then Good you can stop coming on here and flaming those that are enjoying the ursan farming runs.

Hi all, I have been trying to do foundry for months but could never manage it due to poor groups and these days complete lack of people doing doa.

Could someone who has done it with the Ursan skill hero set up please post the builds of all party members for me please as I really would like to get foundry cleared.

It would be much appreciated

p.s: If anyone wants to do foundry with me whisper me in game, I'm an ele with R8 Lightbringer and r6 norn (nearly r7 so going to farm a bit) I will be on this weekend at some point
