and to the guy who was just bragging to my friend in ascalon about having 100+ codes and selling more than half of them for 50k+ each..... that is just screwed.

Well, if he's selling codes, he couldn't have activated them yet - otherwise he'd be selling the pets themselves. And seeing how many people received multiple codes where only one worked, it'd be a real gamble to buy one from someone. I received two myself, used one and gave the other to my sweetheart - which unfortunately didn't work for him, and he ended up filling out the form on his own.

50k for something that's proven to be buggy? You'd have to be quite loose with your change :P

Some people don't read the forums, so they'll be uninformed of the bugs.

But buying activation codes from people is a terrible idea anyway.

Well I have been trying for hours and not succeeding at the site

Yet another mini thats out of reach for my Hom and mini collection.
I did end up buying an already Dedicated one from someone for 15k so I guess
that will have to do until I try and track one down in game thats not dedicated or the site works and I can get a code.

The farthest I've been able to get tonight was to get the "Oops" message, trying off and on for a few hours. Now the box where I'm supposed to enter my email in the PDF doesn't even show up. Horrible promotion. Hopefully Anet is aware of what a debacle this promotion is.

The overall value of these guys seems to be settling around 30k. Which is respectable. Too bad I can't get another one of these guys.

Wait a minute.... a FREE online magizine has "subscribers." Umm... what? Yes, I know the magizine calls themselves that, but.
We didn't screw anybody over. There was a free gift being given out and we took it. It's like people were giving out a free t-shirt and you took one. Wheter you support their cause of the t-shirt, doesn't mean you can't get a shirt. Free means free.

Furthermore, the amount of exposure this obscure magazine got because of the GW community is phenominal. Several GW players might have liked the magazine and continue to get it (I for one liked their article on Tabula Rasa). That was the point of the promotion. It was to attract more people to their site to get them more advertising money from web hits. It wasn't a "free gift to their subscribers."

Oddly I got two codes, so now I got a mini for me and my girlfriend, guess I was lucky.

I submitted the entry, and it said ''Oops'', so I did it over again and it went through, but it said ''It appears you have already been sent an email, but we're sending an extra in case the previous one didn't go through'', then when I looked in my email box I had two emails - each with one unique code, and both worked.
