Who pays 75 bucks for a normal mouse with the Guild Wars logo on it?

I don't care what kind of mouse it is, whether it's MX576473 or a dead rat, even if it DID have the Guild Wars logo on it, I ain't paying a buck over twenty.

BTW, they jacked up the price on the DeathAdder simply because it has the Guild Wars logo on it. Not at all worth it. Razer logo is far superior - one of the few logo's I actually like.

1800dpi Razer Precision™ 3G infrared sensor
1000Hz Ultrapolling™ / 1ms response
Five independently programmable Hyperesponse™ buttons
6400 frames per second (5.8 megapixels per second)
You would be surprised at just how large of a difference high-end hardware makes. A subtle difference, but a significant one.

Also, high end players in Guild Wars barely even use the mouse, so... fast response time keyboard?

And your high end keybord? Go take a look at the Razer Tarantula.

I just bought a custom made 300 dollar mouse.
But I had to sell my keyboard to, so now I use the on-screen keyboard.
For those that don't know, it's windows only.
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Accessibility -> On-screen keyboard
Have fun with your 300 dollar mouse!

What now?
As far as I can see, the only justifying feature on that mouse is the extra programmable buttons.
Now what I really need is a Mouse that doesn't get dirty scank accumulating on the underside (and perhaps a Keyboard that doesn't fill up with grit, dead skin and hair between the keys).

You have never tried a high-end mouse have you? The response time, as said before, is not the only major factor of the mouse - these mice are EXTREAMLY sensitive, with very fast movement - I bairly twitch my hand, and can have the pointer across the monitor. Once you get used to the movement, you have very fast and very precise control, and it does make a huge difference in almost any game. FPS do benefit the most from it, but even in Guild Wars, it helps with changing viewing angles quickly when needed. And your high end keybord? Go take a look at the Razer Tarantula. |

Google key-tweak, if you like that feature but don't have the keyboard =D.
Muspellsheimr
Although effective, key tweak is far to limited. Forgot to mention the Tarrantula also allows you to move & replace the physical keys easily, without risking damaging the keyboard, as well as storing multiple profiles on the keyboard itself.

I've restrained myself so far, but hell, I can't not contribute to a thread with this subject

What the heck is the point in that?
No offense or anything... but I wouldn't buy that if I won the lottery tomorrow. I'd sooner a keyboard without fancy screen-buttons that actually LOOKED good.

Bah!
I happen to be left handed!
I'm used to use the mouse with either hand, but really don't like when mouse designers overlook lefties!

It looks.... retro.
... Not my favourite kind of retro either.

No wonder their prices are high though. Being sponsored by razer basically gives you ALL their products (no joke). They are very generous company <3.
Starsky-sama
got mine. bought direct from razer to save moola. (US$+gotta watch out who has the lowest shipping cost ----I wouldnt suggest tigerdirect.com if youre in Canada) generally bought it bcuz I play FPSs and GW, so why not get a 2for1 for my own enjoyment.
The backlit on the logo is quite nice, vanishes when you dont move and lights up when you move and stays lit. lol
.tempted to get a Razer KB...But
.aWaits for a GW KB by Razer...

Id just stick a guild wars sticker on my old mouse tbh, then again to me all mice fell the same after wireless and infa-red (but i got put off wirless mice, seem so unresponsive O_o). Never saw the diffrence between some super gaming mouse and good ol "came with windows 95" style mouse cept looks and price xD.

ye i wasnt planning to buy this, just pointing it out, it looks a bit too expensive and i dont think mice/keyboards are worth spending 100 bucks on just for the look or sum stupid specs

keyboards same thing, i stick with my microsoft keyboard and its pretty decent, it has all these custom buttons and stuff except i never use it
y would u spend so much money on keyboard, in a couple of days it will be filled with all this crap inside of it lmfao, then go pay 30 bucks for spray and all this crap :S

I use a microsoft mouse that cost me $19 and my laptop.
And I can still prot better than you.
Really....maybe for the top ten starcraft/counterstrike players in the world...it might make a difference....but really...
anything will do, as long as it works.
Some of those fancy keyboards look cool, even if I'm just going to end up typing papers on it anyway and not using the cool features.

Saying that a high res dpi mouse only works in fps games is nonsense.
I had my fun in WoW dragging up my duals and fighting close up with warriors and rogues on my hunter.
They didn't find it fun that I managed to be behind them all the time.
Little clue about how fast those mice are: You can make you character spin fast, so fast that the WoW client crashes.
But since GW differs in movement style, its not such a huge advantage there.
As well keep in mind, that running 3000 dpi with 1000 report rate requires much less physical movement of the mouse.

Reminds me of when I managed to load up some old Windows 98 games on my PC and they ran so damned fast they became almost unplayable.
Dr Strangelove
Instead of buying a high sensitivity mouse, why not just, say, turn up the mouse sensitivity? I'll admit that side buttons and the ability to change sensitivity on the fly is cool, but not 75 bucks cool. Maybe $25.
I guess I'll never understand the folks who drop 100 bucks on a mouse, I'm kinda frugal even though I have the money.
