Eternal Blade

No Paragon's just have the added advantage of three classes rolled into one character plus passive defense. They are gimmicky, stupid and broken ever since their introduction; thats why they suck(suck meaning i hate them not bad in skill and ability). But this isnt a paragon dicussion thread.

So if this is really real, the theroetical drop rate is one every 2 years? Or if it only drops from that chest then one every month? (since we have no idea how many people have cleared the uw since the addition of that chest).


PS- Oh and HawkofStorms, barrage ranger my not take much skill to play. However, who ever controls aggro and leads the group, be it a warrior or ranger or whomever, does take skill. Don't bash a group just because of one person. Its like saying monking is a cake walk, besides all they do is sit in the back and heal people when necessary and staying out of the enemy's way. So you some a monk up by saying all they do is click+heal and repeat.
Just think a bit before you make a half ass post is all i'm saying.

On a side note...UW hardmode is killer

We cleared the UW 1 Hour 46 Min's. NM But still not bad. And none of us got a eternal blade, all crap chest drops.

I can't count the number of times I've been in a pug and told them repeatedly not to go randomly taking quests only to have them do that exact thing. Then of course no one wants to fess up to it and they all blame each other.
So, we've either got insta death, an hour of bitching at each other and then insta death or panicking followed by insta death....

Though I did get one group last week, who after screwing up and taking the Unwanted Guest quest, and panicking for about 10 with me explaining how to correct the mistake about 5 or 6 times, managed to actually get it done. Of course I had an ele in the group insisting we don't do anymore quests until we've finished Restore the Monuments. About an hour and a half and only got to the quest the with Ice King before wiping.

Lol. You've clearly not been in many B/P groups. Nobody controls aggro in B/P groups (5 B/P rangers, a MM, a monk, and an orders necro). The aggro is controled by the meat shield of 5 pets and minions.

My post isn't half assesed. Everybody knows B/P groups are mindnumbingly easy, that's why they are so popular in PUGs. They are so hard to screw up.

Since we were talking about the UW, I assumed you were refering to using barrage rangers as part of a group, since you can't run a b/p group in the UW. But if your just refering to a b/p group then i aggree. Its simple and hard to screw up, unless the MM sucks. And if the MM sucks you die.

But whatever, its wasn't my intention to start an arguement...well partly, but anyway.

This is exactly why I'm glad I started a Paragon instead of a Derv when NF was released. Wheeee!

Paragon's are broken to say the least.

Although Iknow this is a bit out of topic, what's the best way to do The Four Horsemen? I seriously screwed up when I focused on the bosses eventaully getting overpowered on by all 4 horsemens. Is it better to get one person and then attack them at their spawn in 2 groups? Or tank one side and kill one side, and then clean up the tanked side? Thanks

Also, Eternal Blades are awesome O.O. Although they have no use for GW2 so I'd probably just sell it if I were to get one.

Starting from the reaper isn't terribly hard, so long as you don't pull Aatxes to the reaper. Which unfortunately happens when people panic.

A single Paragon has been ridiculously broken since the release of Nightfall. People still refuse to see that. Their loss.

Wyvern Blades are hideous though.

My Para is prepped, i'm stoked on the new blade. Definately get one while you can, this seems like it's gonna be a sephis sword/axe all over again. Everyone wants one, really rare, really cool... Then worthless in a few months. Not saying it isn't cool and I haven't asked the Ghostly to let me try it out a few times... But honestly how can this one weapon stabilize the economy...

Gonna see if i can clear UW a couple of times this week. Want that blade. Mostly to sell, cause if I keep it I'll probably pay more attention to my character twirling it around than actually playing the game.

I actually got a Runic Blade the first time I cleared UW.

Paragons are actually very, very strong. The PvE only skills (you probably know what they are) make them ridiculously good for high-end.

BTW been using a splinter/ancestors', spirit-spam/Painful Bond Ritu build in Fow/UW. Works quite well.

Lol, are you serious? If you didnt know that paragons were broken youre clueless or just bad. Before the EF nerf it was like infinite energy for monks. Aside from that they put out about the same damage as a sword warrior but dont have to run around and chase targets. The cracked armor from AR has helped somewhat in that theyre easier to spike down but theyre still incredibly effective.

Hayda was some trash SoP build that was absolutely useless the entire time except to Death Pact the other heroes. I blame Fenix for being an idiot and bad at the game.





First time through both, didn't even bother with wiki. Solo Para is ezmoedpve, even at relatively low title ranks (R7 Sunspear, R1 Kurzick). I'll be sure to take lots of screenshots when I can be bothered to do Hard Mode Dungeons for twice the dismal rewards.

Ill tell you my point of view on Paragons(accept it or dont I know its right):

1 Paragon = Best suppourt
2 Paragon's = Stupidly overpowered suppourt
3 Paragon's = Im sure you have the picture by now

When nightfall was first released I had no reason to make a paragon and no desire that made me want to, even then (when they were stupidly overpowered all the time) I thought they sucked dont ask my why I just assumed (remember that). A few weeks back I had a spare slot so I thought I'd roll up a final char, Paragon or Monk (already had 7 monks) and the idea of watching red bars rise and fall didnt make me want to make one so I went with a Paragon. First levels my view was a ranged lame warrior, then I started to go pure shout/chants (Paragon spear builds are long range warriors I know) this is when I released that this is not crap it makes the game much easier (good or bad thing? You decide). Then I took him to Cantha and played through with full hench teams (no heroes) and as before it was stupidly easy. Rolling on to Guardian now, first mission I decided to do was grove (start with the hard right) team set up went along the lines of:

Paragon: Chant/Shout
2 hench monks
2 SV Eles Hero's
1 MM Hero
1 Warrior Hench
1 Ranger Hench

I didnt go into that mission expecting to do it with ease but well it was, reason why? Chanting and Shouting is a pressure relief, go into battle you can chant up, during during tricky parts stick 3 shouts up and its a huge boost to your team and you are litreally idiotic to not see this. Continuing with my guardian I decided to do one of the missions I have a deep hate for; Arborstone, my friend had a Paragon aswell who hes getting all titles for so we did it together with NO MONK<. 2 Paragons, 4 SF (), 1 Warrior, 1 MM. Possibly wasnt the greatest idea in history but the fact it was a walk in the park even in HM was suprising so I'll finish by saying that you can either love them or hate them but overall they dont care.

whatever it takes to get an eternal.... ive never been one to save my ectos but I think from here on out I need to focus on the prize of my very own eternal sword.

id like to get one myself.... yesterday I spent 5 hours clearing FoW twice (once ursan group the other balanced with no eles) yes - that means each run was around 2 1/2 hrs. all with my paragon. today Im going to see if I can make a few complete UW runs..

If I had the motivation to get one then I'd much rather earn one myself as well but unless theres a decent skin being secretly added then count me out . Glad to see there just throwing little things in thou would be nice if this went all the time but then again maybe it does, maybe in areas noone uses everyone to magumma!
