I joined a PUG in THK not too long ago, just because the invite made me laugh. Was waiting for a friend to log on to do some Vanquishing, and he never showed. While waiting, I was sitting in THK, and got a random invite. Looked to see who was inviting me, and it was a team of 5. No Monks yet, and no PM asking me to join or anything. I didn't accept or refuse, because I was curious what they would pick up. When the 6th member joined, I expected my invite to be canceled. It wasn't for about 10 minutes. So I decided to join, just to see what they would do with a team of 7 and no Monks. Shortly after I joined, a W/Mo self invites. And gets accepted. No monk, and the team didn't seem to see a problem with that lol.

I loaded a funky build, knowing it wouldn't be any good, and pinged it. Nobody commented on it, which scared me. I was surprised we got as far as we did, but nobody else flashed a build, so I didn't know what to expect out of the team. They were decent players individually, but didn't seem to know how to work with a team.

Laugh at my build, as it is quite funny to me, but enjoy the classes used for Thunderhead Keep. We died at the boss in the city, farther than I expected to get by far. You will also notice there are several Monks in the city, and although I don't have screens to the text log, at least 2 were looking for a group.

I helped a ranger do abaddon's gate a couple weeks ago...and he was running something funky.

I don't remember the exact build but it had Orison of Healing, Healing Breeze, Mending some really crappy Markmanship skills and no elite. I asked him why he didn't have an elite on his bar and he replied with "I don't have any."

I'm not sure how someone gets to abaddon's gate with such a crap build but apparently its possible.

I tend to encounter Mo/Es whenever I PUG. 4 skills are monk skills, 4 are fire magic skills.

And then you ask why he/she has 4 fire skills?
"to protect myself when you guys cant protect me."
And then the typical sin cuts in, saying "ill protect u."

Makes me a sad panda..

They hit multiple enemies by switching targets, THEN use barrage. I used to do that.

I actually started out as a W/E so I could be a Fighter/Spellcaster. I can't believe I still remember that!

that was a build i thought of when nightfall first come out lol, anyway, luckily i didnt use it much...phewww.

However I do remember being a N/W until I reach level 20 and arrived at sorrow furnace, I joined a group of players who was advertising for ss necro, off course i did not know what ss necro was then, they invited me, no build pinging back then okay, I had a gold max summit axe with +30 hp which I also noobily sold to the merchant sometime after that incident... well anyway we went out and i was holding that axe, they got back in and kick me :P i don't remember my build, i think it was all warriors skill.

Lets just say for my ego sake, that monsters will regret meeting with my ss necro these days.

I remember starting my necro as a N/E and having something along the lines of

And some other spell I can't remember. Might have been one minion. Kept it until quite a bit in the game. Back then I also thought there was ONE elite skill per profession.

And I spotted the following builds... all in ToPK. Sadly.

Called himself a b/p. Had no other ranger skills than the pet skills, rest were curse, blood and death.

Was spamming for an "experienced orders" when I got this. The guy got kicked automatically. Orders sac a lot, shouldn't have MORE HP than normal (which they got with Blood Renewal); should let nuking to a class that can afford exhaustion (well, with MS anyways).

Just look at the attribues, then the skills, and laugh.

I still pop this one in our alliance chat for a LOT of laughs. Healing and hammer wammo, just... no. NO. >_>.

do you think the hammer wammo can be alter to become

monks with hammer? i've been looking for that build since, could be half year back, in alliance battle, a group of 4 monks with hammers....

you don't know what to expect from them, then it hit you, you're dead and they gallop away happily.... all under 1 minute. (my entire group wiped)

I'm so worried one of my builds is gonna show up here

I remember seeing a sin in my guild who kept on dying in Senji's corner. The reason was he still has starter armor and he didn't put any attributes into his skills. He bars was something awful too.
Actually I think it's something of a miracle that he made it that far without realizing something was wrong.

When going for legendary carto I needed to get to vizunah local, so I searched for a PUG in marketplace I believe. Ended up with some necro and his 3 heros.
The heros were 2 monks and an ele, all lvl 20 so I assumed he knew what he was doing.. Boy was I wrong lol.

When I died in under 10sec during the first fight I started to look at what skills those dumb monks were using. I saw:
[skill]Animate Bone Fiend[/skill][skill]blood of the master[/skill][skill]heal area[/skill][skill]heal other[/skill]
The minions were level 10 ...
There was also a hard rez somewhere, couldn't find any other skills..

But, surprise surprise, we actually made it :s

OH! And I shall never forget my favorite PUG player of all time! E/R with charm animal, a bow, using conjure lightning with dragos flatbow AND she was using toxicity without any conditions! Oh, and of course, she brought edge of extinction with 6 pts in beast mastery, and good old chain lightning.... lolz.

my worst pug ever wast at thk we had 4 monks and i was the only one that healed then we had 2 mesmers that cant inspiration skills on everything and 2 warriors 1 warrior was smart and had some good skills the other used all the nergy skills no adreniline skills and ran away from everything the other 3 monks all had aegis and liked to cast it at the same time... they had no hex or condition removal and 1 had 3 glyphs anyway we only beat that mish cuz the everyone wanded as one... really sad but funny

Just saw a monk in RA, he was using Blood Is Power, Blood Ritual and Blood Renewal. Didn't use anything else. Thought he was great because he kept giving the other monk lots of energy, but the monk had to spend it all on healing this idiot because he kept sacrificing most of his health...
