interesting...
But they should add a Full Skill Unlock
that unlocks all Skills for 1 character of yours (including pve, thus not having to go to the trainer)

As long as the mods are pre-customized the same way as the goty or preorder weapons then they are un-tradeable.

50% off is appropriate seeing as it's essentially for one half of the game .

Anyone else thinking it's not a great thing if people who throw money at the game can learn the skills at any skill trainer, but if you were dedicated enough to unlock them on your account the good ol'slug-away way, you can't?
Maybe I'm reading it wrong... hope so. Or let us all learn unlocked skills at any trainer... Uggg.. Mystic Regen on ever Derv from word go....
Bit disappointed if this hasn't been though out.
These skills (except elite skills) also become available for your PvE characters to learn from any Skill Trainer.
^---- Nope.. I don't think I'm reading it wrong :-(

Yeah you've been able to buy skills you've unlocked with faction at skill trainers for over a year.

Interesting. Are these available at retailers?
Also, I like the full skill unlock for a single character idea. Save hundreds of thousands of gold ingame as well as instantly maxing the skill hunter titles? Yes, I would buy that. (Would buy it at the price of one of the campaigns, such is the amount of grind it would let me skip.) Possibly for more than one character, even.

It's a bit late for that, don't you guys think? I guess it times in nicely with their other 50% offs and the GW free trial event thing, but most of the people who want / will play GW / GW PvP have already gotten the game. There's only a small group that is left to be targeted anyways. Those that are hard-core gamers enough to actually purchase the Unlock Packs will have bought the game already, and casual gamers who have never heard of GW won't think it necessarily to spend more money on stuff like that.

If they want to make more money they should make the Divine Aura available, as I feel we need more /bowhead Necro's peeing in outposts

I already have all the skills unlocked. Rather, instead of stupid packs like this to make stupid people get all the skills at once, and have so many at once, they have no idea where to start with, and give veterans something to do with BALTHAZAR FACTION.
I have over FIVE HUNDRED Balthazar Tokens. Options, Anet, OPTIONS!

Wow.
We already had really expensive unlock packs.
Now we have them back, slightly changed?
The "access kit" with the not mentioned 60 skills is new. Now I cannot resist making fun of it, 60 hand-picked skills that are useable and do not suck hard or what? :>

Must say, I would have prefered that they come up with another weapon pack (a collection of all the pre-order weapons, perhaps), than these skill unlock packs. But then I don't PvP and the last time I checked with a "Priest of Balthazar", I'd unlocked most of the game, anyway.

If I didn't have EotN, but wanted these skills, I wouldn't even pay $2 for them, because thats $2 that could have gone to just buying the damn expansion.

On topic...GWEN doesn't have enough skills to warrant an unlock pack. *lol* Each profession only has a handful of new skills and you get most(if not all) of the rep skills through quests.

And now what to do with balth faction? What about like .. something usefull for pve.

I said before this came out, they should make a PvE edition that unlocks Elites FOR OUR CHARACTERS. (wouldn't count towards Skill Hunter).
Obviously, these packs are not meant for PvEers.

From the website http://www.guildwars.com/products/ex...s/default.php:
I think the PvP Access Kit is great, I just hope it is affordable.
With the PvP Access Kit you get access to all the skills and character of the four Guild Wars campaigns. The only thing you need to do is unlock skills. But I don't need the skills. I just play a lot of PvP and unlock everything I need. So it is like a total new account with access to everything, except the PvE (which I don't play anyway).
Actually 60 skill unlocks is more than enough to start. With that you can already make 6 builds to play in GvG, RA, HvH or HA. And after the factions comes in from winning, you can unlock even more.
- PvP Access Kit
Gain instant access to the Player versus Player portion of Guild Wars with the new PvP Access Kit. This package contains everything you need to jump right into the competitive world of Guild Wars PvP! No other Guild Wars purchase necessary. Create and play PvP-Only characters from any of ten Guild Wars professions across all three campaigns (Warning: Access to Roleplaying characters requires purchase of a Guild Wars campaign.) The PvP Access Kit also includes 60 free unlocks (20 elite skills, 20 normal skills and 20 items) to help you power up your game instantly. Mix and match with Skill and Item Unlock Packs to further enhance your PvP characters.

Since most of these skills are PvE only this would seem like a complete and I mean complete waste of money.
Heroes nor PvP characters can use PvE only skills for those who don't get it.

Savio is laughing at the obvious shoddy cut and paste job: all the GWEN skills are already available from GWEN skill trainers, thus you aren't getting anything "extra" from a PvE perspective...
(not that the other packs are much better from a PvE basis)

How exactly does the PvP access kit work? Does it just make all the game's skills unlockable (but not unlocked yet), regardless of the campaigns you own?
I have a buddy who has Prophecies and Factions, but who does not want to buy Nightfall and EoTN. Would paying the $20 for this unlock pack then give him the ability to use Balthazar faction to unlock and then use Nightfall skills on his PvP characters?
Also, the 60 free unlocks - do you get to choose what they are, or are they chosen for you already? If the latter, is there a list somewhere?

Besides that, it's 40 skills. 20 are for items.
