What was your first profession *combination*?

yeah, I decided "hey, i can heal, AND attack from range" man, that was a smart move.. if i remember, my skillbar was something like:
Healing breeze
Mending (to counteract the 1/-1 vamp mod i had on my bow..thought it was a max mod xD)
orison of healing
Heal Other
Power Shot
Kindle arrows
Dual shot
Rebirth (and aye, used mid-battle, although, with that bad a bar, wouldn't make much difference :P)
I actually managed to get to the crystal desert before anyone actually said anything about it. >_>

I thought using fire magic + swords was a good idea to fight off big mobs. (Bad idea )

E/W because I was determined to be different. I thought that using the elements was an awesome concept and that nobody else would combine ele and Warrior skills. I was a strict Water user because I knew everyone would choose Fire.
Swift Thief
A/E
I kept using random stuff like daggers with fire storm, flare, deep freeze, and stoning. Very bad build. I kept using off-hands and duals cause I didn't know there was a combo rule and I kept complaining that "ArenaNet shipped a broken game."

Biostem
I went w/ a Wa/Mo first - I know, original, but good armor plus self healing and buffs is a natural combo. I also really like the sword, shield, and warrior armor skins.
Curse You
N/Mo. Yes, I choose that combo from the start and haven't changed it since.
Although, when I started out I used a mix of Blood and Death as well as some Smiting. I focused on Blood for damage and used Death for summoning minions, which I used mainly as meat shields and mobile energy.
Here's the oldest shot I can find of it. My necromancer was level 15 at the time.

R/Mo was my first ever combination that I went with and boy did I pay for that. I think on the last mission of Prophecies, I was forced into more of a Monk position then Ranger but at least the team beat the mission and I somehow helped keep them alive.
darkknightkain
W/E. I got out of Searing with the following "build".
[skill]Frenzy[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Fire storm[/skill] ...forgot the rest, then [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Hamstorm without the Ham part. The good old days

First character I settled on was a Monk with a sword. Must have been the inner wammo in me.

Infact that was before Pre-Searing even existed!

I think we should all blame the Prophecies box:
A Deadly Combination
Strike with a Hamstring attack to cripple your fleeing opponent, then rain fire down upon him as he slowly limps away.

The thought of traveling with a 'familiar' was, and still is, always appealing. Nothing like having a little buddy helping you on your way.
Not many around of us at the beginning, but it has always been a pretty good combination. Oh, also strictly NON-fire ele. Air was my first choice with earth a close second.
Still is my most fun and played character.

R/E Read the handbook and fell in love with the idea of shooting arrows...magical burning arrows while cuddling a pet and calling down fire from the heavens....I lol at myself now.
I still remember asking my Guild whether or not I should run meteor shower on my ranger because it was awesome, but I could only use it once. =)

Pets were cool and I liked using a bow. Not sure how I survived so long with skills that didn't sync well at all, but at least I didn't put 2 points in every attribute or something. I had a build that was mostly Ranger skills and then Penetrating Shot, and another that used just Penetrating Shot and Troll Unguent and the rest Necromancer skills (I think I at least had the sense to realize Spiteful Spirit was useful - that probably helped with a whole lot of missions).
Come to think of it, I must have distracted myself from both Guild Wars and that guy for a long time once Factions came out, as I distinctly remember doing some almost as stupid Necromancer build using a spear (at least a year of barely anything done on him?), and finally beating Prophecies with said build shortly after Hard Mode came out.
Of course, at some point I finally snapped out of it and started to play builds with him that were actually good. He's currently my most-played character, who I'm using for some hard-core vanquishing. Nevertheless, this post was a not-so-welcome reminder of how little I've gotten done in Guild Wars over my almost three years of playing, in addition to what is likely a vast deviation from the topic. Sheesh.
Still need to make a Ranger someday, though. If I ever pick up another slot.

I actually read up on the game on Guru before buying it. Heard inspiration magic was useful... and it was.
Granted pre-LA people I was running around with backfire, but I mean when you are a newbie (not a NOOB) your skill selection was pretty limited in Phrophecies.

If you must know my VERY first profession combination, you'd have to go back to the January BWE.
Me/W
Then at release,
Mo/E - who doesn't exist anymore.

Mo/R in beta, trying to use my bow for damage, unsuccesfully, and thinking monks sucked for solo play, I started a warrior upon release. W/E in presearing, then figuring out that fire storm and all that stuff doesn't work too well with only 2 energy regen, and changing to wammo before leaving presearing.
I wish I would have remained monk, but we didn't know about 55hp farming back then, and I really want a viable solo-character. The W/E would have been like a tankmage in ultima online, but the low energy of the warrior ruined that plan. So I picked monk as secondary as I didn't see mesmer having any use and I already had the bad experience with ranger secondary.

W/R!
I was going to nail them with arrows as they ran towards me then switch to sword and finnish them off.
Then I had some wilderness survival so I could last out in the wilds of pre-searing. Make traps catch food etc. Maybes even a tree house!
Fond memories.

I choose to be an Elementalist, because that looks the best to me at that time.
And use Necro for secondary since Necro can use Blood Magic to heal themselves.
I actually used [skill]Life Siphon[/skill] back then.

R/E. Back when I thought Expertise amounted to nothing, and put no attribute points in it, and (tried) to spam firestorm. Deleted her.
I then made a Ritualist, who also had Elementalist as her secondary. It took me a while to realise I was probably best off making an Ele.
Good times.

N/Me. I had no real idea how powerful that combo was. I just wanted access to more hexes. My most noobish combo was R/E. Firestorm ftw!!
Taurucis
I played a W/E at first because I thought that I'd be the ideal warrior-mage.
I used stuff like Immolate, Fire Storm, Fireball, Inferno... sometimes I had more ele skills on my bar than warrior skills.
The funny thing is that I beat Thirsty River with something like this skillbar...
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Savage Slash[/skill][skill]"I will avenge you!"[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Flame Burst[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Except I'm not too sure about it, I know for a fact that I was using IWAY and Meteor Shower. We actually completed the mission.

W/E warrior skills with fireballs pwnd 2 years ago... LOL
Sabriel Benirus
I chose Me/Mo as my first, because I liked the Mesmer's skills, and the self healing of the monk. Now, I don't even use her much anymore.
Fluffiliscious
W/Mo *sighs* I like my Ele/Me SO much better.....the entire game experience is so different and less frustrating now....
ravensong
I was Me/E...I tought because of Fast Casting I could also spam ele spells well! :P
netniwk
I probably created every possible proffesion combo in E3 for everyone,my game crashed every 5 min .The first one I realy remembered playing was a N/mo though.
Quentin.Sheley
Mine was the A/Mo lol. I died soooo much. I didn't know that they weren't tanks for the longest lol and I kept running in with no good armor or anything and kept getting slaughtered. Now a days I don't even use Sins. It's a pitty. They're good in PvP, but my Tank Sin idea didn't work out at all. I was a pro Diablo 2 PvPer coming over to Guild Wars and things changed quite a bit with the change and I wasn't ready for the shock yet lol.
A11Eur0
Mending frenzy W/Mo, with breeze. That ended when I ascended and found new secondaries though...about the same time that mending and breeze start becoming useless.
