Since the actual image has been posted quite a few times I'll avoid doing that. But I'm going to throw my hat in with the above two posters as I also do not have that blacked out area.
Nor do I have to bar directly south of it. I've tried scraping so many times during the mission it's not even funny. And also scraping in Shenzun Tunnels.
Does anyone know how to get this for my final .1%?

Most of that large area is uncovered by scraping the area after the last major spawn of afflicted, on the path to the shiro'ken boss. Be sure to get the area behind it as well.

Hello all. I have reached 97.7% exploration of Cantha, and there are a few areas I cannot figure out how to get to. There are screenshots below. If anyone can give me advice for how to reach these areas, it would be greatly appreciated.

1) Talk to the arena guard in Shing Jea, you'll get inside there.
2) Area only open when the Boardwalk is open as well, like right now.
3) You get there by beeing banished, walk upwards while hugging the wals.
4) Part of Arborstone explorable, you can't reach it through the mission outpost.

That one place by noob island is the shing jea arena, you can't get there. The one by the monastery you can go to if the boardwalk is open, so if ur quick its open now, otherwise you'll have to wait. The spot in imperial sanctum you do have to get banished durnig the mission. That spot in arborstone... I'm probably wrong, but from what I remember you leave from somewhere by talking to some guy (its in the forest, prbly tanglewood) and he takes you there and you can't really go anywhere but up there.

Going through the explorable is the only way to get there, it's on the very end of it. @ OP, an unrelated tip: Texmod alone isn't enough to get 100% completion because it takes in account all the alliance controlled areas on the outposts in it's 100% map. So unless you hop between the alliances to map it, you won't be able to do it. That means you'll be getting a lot of black areas that aren't covered by texmod. I can post them if you'd like, have 100% cartographer. sykoone
Kupp, I would know what areas where mapped in the mod. My guild made it. We are not in a controlling alliance, and none of us guild hopped to get the exclusive areas. If it's marked as mappable in the mod, it can be mapped by anyone with no special access requirements. The only exception to this is the nightfall tutorial area, which is clearly marked as such.

Then I have to ask, how on earth do you managed to map these areas?
Because all I ever saw was a kurzick/luxon NPC guarding the gate and the alliance areas behind them that corresponded to the unmappable areas. I had one hell of a hard time mapping the remaining 2-3% for the title since I couldn't get in there. Knautilus

I'm not sure about the last one, but the areas in your first two screenshots are easily mappable by entering the nearby challenge missions.

The spot to the lower left is the Vizunah Square (Local Quarter) outpost.
The spot the right can be gotten in the Vizunah Square mission. The lower right corner, I havent managed to get all of this either. And I do have GMC.

I just got the Cantha cartographer title today, and I did the exact same thing as Brodly.
The stuff on the bottom you can get if you either start in the Local section or in the foreign section but walk into the local section's starting point and you need to scrape the walls as you are walking south towards the last area with waves of plagued. As for the corner, no idea how you do that either. But I didn't need it. I managed to get it by grabbing the glitched area of the map at Eredon Terrace. If you haven't done that yet, I suggest you do, it adds a good 0.5% towards the title. It helped me when I was at 99.4% and couldn't find anymore.

In case you didn't know, as a non-Canthan character you can get to the local quarter outpost by joining a Canthan character who is doing the Mayhem in the Market quest. Sometimes you can find a ferry who is on the last step of that quest.

If thats the only thing your missing try the Eredon Terrace glitch to get +2.5%

I just got Legendary Cartographer the other day after finishing Cantha, and I didn't get that spot. However, I probably made up for it by using the Eredon Terrace glitch.

ok the area below amatz basin u need to enter the challange mission and u can map it then i cant remeber the area below harvest oh wait i think that is when u first enter unwaking waters mission there an area off to side to map that u can't get to from explorable area that should help u a bunch

hi guys, after working on me elone title, the thread was a great help, and i got 100% i am now working on cantha. ony need .8% till max but i see this "huge" spot in texmod

I am 99% positive that the horizontal blue chunk is from the Vizunah Mission. Even scraping, you can miss a lot if you only do it once!
Also, you should be able to get the area shaped like <=> (tilted) by scraping Senji's Corner and the Tunnels. For the area in the Skyway, I remember the trigger point being easy to miss, but the trigger is somewhere in the wall of the black area.

almost done with this title. Ned these two areas. First pic is area right above unwaking waters. I tried to grind the bottom but couldn't reach it maybe I am missing something. Second one is something you guys have already explained but I do not understand. i got the local but can not seem to reach the bottom block. Please help, I want this title already! Thx

ok the first one is the beginning of the mishion, try to enter mishion and scrape the beginning.. I got problems with the 2e one aswell, I got 100% without it so it isnt needed, Otherwise scrape the Visnuah square mishion

hmm for spot 1 try scraping the black spot in skyway, same for spot 4 but the upper black one, its near the tengu camp..
2, if reacheble should be fro scraping in senji's corner. spot 5 is a glich as far as I know, the edge are way to sharp. spot 3 can be gained by scraping the mishion.. or the upperside of tunnels. can I ask you how you got the spot between 3 and tahnaki temple, I tried but couldnt reach it. PS..I didnt need all of these spots for my 100% so if you cant reach them try scraping some other spots

Just a reminder for texmod users. No glitches were used in making the mod, so none will be needed to uncover everything the mod shows. If you get a few spots by glitch, it just gives you a better choice of where to scrape out that last .1%.

I've been exploring Cantha for my cartography title and there's this 1 spot that refuses to uncover itself. I tried scraping from 3 different locations and it is still foggy. If anyone knows how to get it uncovered, please reply. Here's a picture *I'm using Texmod (Cartography made easy mod)* The blue arrows are the places I scraped. The red circle is the area that doesn't want to uncover. |
