Anyone with brain does that regardless the professions, your point? But some professions have better snowball skills than others to do the mission objective, thus increase the chance of winning.

Actually, I noticed that a good amount of people in snowball arena don't do that.

There are some experienced players that can smash anything even if their class doesn't have the best snowball skill.

My speculation is that the more "challenging" classes (ranger, sin, mesmer, para, derv) got the weaker class skills because the people who play them are usually more skilled than those who play Warrior, Monk, or Ele.

If you mean "challenging" is "gimping yourself". In the snowball environment, the movement is the key, thats why warrior and ele are popular. Monk can heal and KD makes them better runner. Rit, Mesmer and necro are advanced ones if used properly. Other snowball skills are useless because they dont contribute much to the mission objective.

Yes. Snowball Arena is serious business.

Sheesh, lighten up and have some fun, will you? It's not like we're competing for a great big prize or anything.

So I have proved my point that some classes do better than others in snowball (which is the main topic of this thread), considering you are moving away and start to brag about being fun?

And now, how do you define fun? That is very subjective.

Some people find fun when they do things not so seriously and relaxing.
Some people find fun when they do things with their best ability and competitively.
Some people even find fun when they do things to grief other players.
Etc.

So really, whats fun to you it doesnt mean fun to others. Unless you are so close minded and thinking your definition of fun is the only one and others fun are not important.

How are the people who play those classes more skilled? This is one of the funniest things I've heard.

Do you really want me to dredge up every single experience with a stupid nuker, healer, or tank? And their skillbars as well?

I find that Rangers, Mesmers, etc tend to be better. They know where they should stand, the Rangers know that their attacks hit from longrange... Mesmers know that they can interrupt, they know that their armor isn't good so they don't tank...

On the other hand I've seen monks Healing Touch the tanks, I've seen elementalists aggroing with their nukes before the tank can even move in...

It's called sarcasm. I assume that they have that on your planet.

Mesmers are fine down there. As for your complaint re: class hate - classes draw hate because they aren't efficient in PvE. Rangers are very good at one thing, and one thing only - interrupting single targets. This is essential in PvP but isn't for most purposes in PvE. In those instances where a ranger is hot (eg: Broadhead Arrow in Unwaking Waters mission), they simplify life greatly. The problem is that 90% of the time the team is better served with something else in the slot a ranger occupies; they're only really useful when you are faced with a boss that has a skill that can yield a teamwipe.

GW is a team game. As such, you can expect other members of a good team to expect YOU to comply with achieving the team objective as efficiently as possible. Snowball arena is no different; if you have chosen to bring a Ranger down there, you have made a suboptimal choice, and my optimal response is probably to attempt to win the first match with you and then go get a new team once the match ends...

It's not the Ranger that can only interrupt one target. The player is the one who chooses what to be interrupted. There's many times I'm faced with 3 or 4 elementalists and I spread out my interrupts... I can usually nail all of their spells if I'm lucky.

Team games never work when the majority of the players are class discriminating bullheads who don't know that there's classes outside their beloved Holy Trinity.

dude, seriously wtf? stop posting.

you're the one whose trying to make a completely fail skill look good

you're the one whose brining pve antics into a pvp arena

you're the one whose lost yet doesn't want to admit it, thus continually digging a deeper hole for yourself to sit in.

just shut up before you ruin your credibility anymore, if that was even possible

I wasn't even aware that you had e-credibility on an e-forum.

People say Melandru's Shot sucks but I still dish out 110's on elementalists.

Pretty sad to see it took till post 77 before someone pointed out the biggest advantages on running a war in snow area's.

But nothing you can't expect on a forum with a large pve-base i guess ^^
