If I get it then I'll be more thorough in completing quests/missions? I have a slight problem of following things through.
Aera Lure
A little too far away to say. If I get it, I'll likely be using only one character though, based on GW experiences at least.
Saelis Scarfang
Buy my own account instead of spending my golden first days playing on someone else's before he decides to take it back even though he doesn't want it.

Try to avoid the temptation of making at least 3 characters of every class and then delete them because i don't like the hair/face/sex of the character.
Also try to get into pvp early to avoid the coming cookie cutter builds at least for a while.
Also i will do what i did in gw when it was new, enjoy being a complete noob, just like everyone else

Prob pay more attention to each of my characters instead of focusing on one and jumping around like I am at the moment.
Blanche Neige
I guess i'll be jumping everywhere like there will be no tomorrow lol.
I'll try to advance a bit slower, have fun, make more quest, read the dialogues, have fun like i did when i was newbie.
I'll try to get over things by my own intead of wiking everything.

Exactly what I'm going to watch for too.
I also look forward to checking out the HoM equivalent to see what goodies I'm going to get back for my participation in GW.

Get into PvP early, and by early I mean doing nothing but PvP.

I'm not going to go on a mad gold spending spree. I cannot fathom how much gold I've lost during the 2 years I've played. I'm probably in the -100's.
Other than that, I'm going to do exactly the same as I've done now. Buy 20 Char slots, Make one of each profession, Give my characters witty names like "Dingpot the Arcane", and collect screenshots of all the wonderous places in Tyria.

Stick to one character and make it EXCEL.
xshadowwolfx
Fresh start tyvm. I also hope not to be poor and to start off more well informed.
Mainly though to focus on one character and perhaps make a second. I can't stand managing all my characters anymore.

Enjoy playing the unbalanced builds before the game is tweaked.
IWAY fame farming and the original Protective Bond 55 monk were ridiculously overpowered ....but probably the most fun I have ever had in a videogame.

Catrion-Leyt
Probably nothing. I don't change much anywhere, so I suspect this won't be any different. I hardly ever pay full attention to what I'm doing, anyway, and suffer for it.

If I buy it (ie, if there isn't another game totally taking up my time like Mass Effect 3, Starcraft 2, or Halo... 6) and my computer can run it well...
my playstyle won't change much. I play a lot of PvE to get the hang of things. Played PvP from the ground up (ie, played lots of RA at the start to learn mechanics like using reses and positioning and then moved on to more advanced PvP). Nothing irritates me more then the r5 guys who have never done anything but Zergway or Spikes and don't know what half the hexes in the game are on sight.

Unless is it a F2P game, I won´t play it!

I’m going to split my time equally between PVE & PVP.
Maximum of 2 characters, 2 professions, (PVE), and concentrate on those.

When I buy GW2, I'll totally ignore the structured-PvP and focus on PvE and World-PvP. I'll probably start my own guild too this time.
odly
I hope I remember just to have fun and not worry about efficiency/completeness.
That would be a change indeed.
Play less characters probably, but I'll still try all proffessions once.
Unless we get a proffession less system in which everyone can do everything, that would make me soo happy. And I'd have to play just one character.

I'll probably just enjoy the new game and the feelin of being a 'newbie' like everyone else.

Will Go For Similar Survivor Title on the first try. Hate it if I have to redo a char again :S

Arena net is really keeping this top secret. I know that it comes out late next year. and that it's a completely different game, it's not like the previous 4 games. You will be able to bring your GW1 character there *suppopsedly.

Invent decent names for my characters...

I dunno. Depends on what I feel like doing 1.5-2+ years from now. Also highly depends on how much is different about the game itself.

How I play GW2 depends entirely on my internet connection. If I still have unreliable internet I'll be doing the roleplaying side of things and take my time (and probably remain guildless for as long as I can). If I have a reliable connection I'll play some good PvP and take advantage of being able to get into an experienced guild right away to farm up that faction.
Phoenix Tears
start as a Sylvari instead as boring human ..thats all ...

Find some uber rare weapon and sell it for lots of money! ;o

If I use a time machine a go to the GW1 beginning, I will make just two things:
1.- Rush ASAP a PvE monk for farm a full inventory of ectos easily AFK.
2.- Make a IWAY warrior and/or necro spike, and make rank12 in a very short time.
Then return to present with the time machine and enjoy being a king, with phoenix emote and uber rich, and see people loving (or hating) me for being a PRO, and the only I did was exploit the game!
I hope to find similar exploits in GW2 for being the king in the (GW2) future.
Note: I am poor, and just rank7, because I started to play with the UW monk thing nerfed, and with IWAY/Necros half nerfed.

But we've all (yes all of us, thats all 76 guild members) have made the consious desicion to move on and are now (most of us) playing EvE Online
WPS is a beta guild, we hail back from the october 2004 beta and the official release start of the guild was the day ofter release of the game (because I was away with work)
My guild is also strongly involved with my business aswell and i consider a lot of my guild as very good friends and even spent christmas and new year with a few of them
But we have all and read that as ALL of us, finished everything in Guild Wars... Most of us bought everything on releases and we ploughed through everything... We will be playing guild Wars 2 as a combined guild and i only play Guild Wars now when a guildie needs an extra for a group or we are going to GvG as there is nothing left to do in gW1 that i haven;t done a couple of hundred times already...

don't need to post your guild histories, you two. this thread isn't about that.
What I will do differently in GW2 is:
- make an elementalist/monk/necro right off the bat.
- focus on the character i chose. get it to 20 first, get it finished with the game first, get it the most expensive (like 15k, now) armor first.
- balance PvE and PvP while playing.
- try to start my own guild.
