I'm guessing that in GW2, I'll spend a lot more time playing with utterly incompetent random people, thanks to being able to have only one hero.
I also plan on spending a lot more time grinding for higher levels so I can enjoy the game more. That's something I never had the opportunity to do in GW1.
Of course, if those predictions prove to be true, I'll probably end up doing a lot more gardening. You know... outside... in the real world... instead of playing GW...

Its going to be fun but also there going to be alot of new scamming going on due to people being unaware.
Ive got the impression people are going to enjoy the jump feature. On the gamebox it should say GUILD WARS 2.. with all new jump feature
COLLECTORS EDITIOM comes with special gw2 pogo

Based on several independent lines of reasoning, it looks pretty probable to me that GW2 characters won't have a permanent primary profession like in GW. Basically, ignoring possible racial differences (which I don't necessarily find a great idea), you create your character based on aesthetic considerations only and it can then be a warrior or a mage depending on how you spec it. One possible way to implement it would be to be able to choose one primary attribute that modifies your general abilities like energy regeneration rate and 2-3 other non-primary attributes, pretty much like you now make up a build by choosing one elite skill and up to 7 non-elites.
This is a logical continuation of the malleability of characters in which GW excels.
It completely solves the 'unwanted professions' problem.
It greatly facilitates making parties since you can always make an 'ideal' mix of professions.
It helps to make the transition between PvE and PvP with the same character.
It's the only way for the Monument of Valor to make any sense.
Based on that, the logical choice is to make one primary character for playing and as many mules as the account has room for. Unless, of course, you prefer actual role playing and want to experience the content both as a charr and a green hentai fairy.

Too soon to say, i don't know which classes are in it or what the race skills (if any) will be like, think I will avoid grouping if everyones going to be jumping around like kangaroos

Focus on one character. It was fun going through all the playstyles (hated monks and rangers at first, now they're all I'll play in PvP), but title grind and Hall of Monuments shot down the multiple-character stuff. Sure, they're not necessary, but had I nothing more than my Warrior I'd easily have FoW and koabd r3-4 now.

1) Go for the survivor equivalent, if there is one
2) focus on PvP right away, the high end stuff like HA since I didn't do that AT ALL in GW1
3) Not make a million characters
4) Take a minute and think of a good name for a character

i'm gonna start pwning some noobs from day 1!!!!
focus on one guy, and use him to own in world pvp. My best friend is doing the same thing, and then we are gonna use the new sidekick thing to help each other level up a second guy!

I'll do what I did in Guild Wars. Play slow, learn the ways, go with the knowledge I have and find things out before they get nerfed.
Lyphen
I'm going to make a male character if their faces don't disgust me!
Yuhe Ji
Try to make it rich before ANet nerfs whatever it is I'm doing. And the first profession I'll be making is a monk (if there are professions, and the monk is one of them) and start buying those sup runes (if they still have the same function, etc.).
Aera Lure
I'll probably just play one character, or, an outside chance, two. No way will I play all of them again. Way too time consuming. One is certain to be a monk.

And I won't delete my characters as often as I do now (Please help me, Mango ). But the first thing I'll do is try out all the races and classes, and see what advantages/disadvantages they have. And ofcourse, which one looks the best |
The message you have entered is too short. wtf o.0

First of all, I need to know what I will be able to do in GW2.
Then I'll think about it.
Then I'll think about it.

I'm going to buy collector edition.
Also I'm not making the mistake of deleting my first chars so I'll miss out on some birthday presents like I did in GW1. In GW2 I'm keeping ever single char

I'm gonna start with PvP, and get in on the ground floor there. I'm thinking there'll be a lot of craziness as people start to find out what works.
Then I'll take a more leisurely stroll through PvE than I do now; got to pace myself.
Oh, and try to use up all my character slots on the first day for possible b-day presents.

I deleted too many characters too often, not knowing you got rewards for keeping with your characters.

I will make two or three characters and stick with them, unlike now where I have 4 characters that I am trying to max out the HoM. What can I say, when I have something, I want the best of it. :/ And I won't delete characters ever again, once I deleted my necro and warrior, I needed them >.<
My characters:
Charr Assassin *if possible*
Slyvari Necromancer
I hope I could play as tengu, then I may go:
Tengu Assassin
Charr Necromancer
Slyvari Ritualist.

Never delete a character, and try to play all the professions/races

I'll finish PvE as quickly as I can. Exploit farms, etc. and get into PvP early.
