do we have to expect a ranting discussion from the exploiters banned for taking items back into pre again?
or were they just "ferrying" items into pre thinking it was perfectly legit?

More than likely...or them QQing about the pre exploiters NOT being banned
Motoko Kusanagi War
well im still curious as to how it was done this time... I mean its been fixed... I just wanna know to what extent or mistake someone had to rumble across to find it.
Cathode_Reborn
Let us back into pre.
Uber Mass
you have updates and patches in every online game... so wutevah
KamikazeChicken
At this point they should just give up trying to stop items from getting into Pre. The damage is done, unless they start banning people who have tomes and whatnot.

I want Shield of Judgment. Reeeeeeeeeeally badly.

Dear developers, is too hard clean every non pre-sear item, insignia, rune, skill, etc., from every character in pre-sear outposts? You could try to make a filter or tool for it and apply it to game database. I will never try the pre-sear title when a lot of people have overpowered things.

But I guess everyone is just too focused on cranking GW2 out as fast as they can to worry about the security holes and openly exploitable features of GW1's coding. Throw a band-aid on it, and hope nobody peels it off. Great policy.
Yeah, good luck with GW2 guys... Really.
Oukanna
I always miss exploits, maybe they dont exist and its Anet trying to look like they are doing something xDDDD
Well i hope someone up there figures out soon, if you dont look after your followers in gw, then they wont go to gw2 because they will have found another game by then.

So how, exactly, did people get post items in to pre this time? Surely previous patches have closed off any links to the Guild Hall?

Ahh, nice! They actually fixed this exploit I had reported 3 months ago

Guild Wars will now be officially known as:
- Bug Wars
- Exploit Wars
- Ban Wars

The simple solution I see to handle this is Change the way Pre in Profs works
to the same system as in Factions and NF where you can go to GH ect
from teh starting areas.
I know that would mess with the Titles and such that people have worked so hard on in Pre.
They did add the char bags and Charr Salvage Kits just go all the way and open it all up and be done with it.

Are you all really that naive to think that any game out there has no bugs? Every and I repeat EVERY game has bugs, every game will have some botard exploiting something that will need to get patched. Millions of people work on windows, guess what, some botard breaks it and finds bugs, same thing happens with every game that gets any kind of game play. The reason you see it a bit more now, people have less new things to do, so they are getting into things they shouldnt. Idle minds are the devil's workshop
Coridan
why don't they just open pre up to the guild hall...i mean come on...numerous exploits involving taking stuff into pre...or just add in a storage in pre...problem solved. There is no way to rebalance pre...so the only way to make it "balanced" is to give everyone access to everything in game

Dear posters who have no idea what you're talking about (which is most of you).
I am actually a real life flesh and blood coder. I work with scripting languages, primarily building website, extranet, and intranet tools. Most of my code is limited to 500 lines or less, though some of the things I build reach into the thousands.
This is magnitudes smaller than the code that likely exists in Guild Wars. I do not have to build input that accept multiple direction commands. I do not have to build hit detection. I do not have to build constant streams of back and forth data that operates in near-to-real-time.
I have bugs in my code. I am still able to find high demand for my skills basically anywhere I go because I'm almost always one of the most experienced candidates with the best portfolio.
If you ever find a coder who is capable of programming anything that is objectively perfect, please let me know. Such a godlike being would be worth billions to any company on the planet with the ability to pay.
Also, most "Hello World!" textbook examples are not even entirely properly implemented, and they're usually only five or six lines max, so STFU about the "zomg the game still has bugs fire the devs for not meeting my entirely ridiculous expecations" crap when clearly your entire technical knowledge is limited to your ability to nuke a Hot Pocket.

Are you guys able to read? It said "could", which means that it wasn't used. So basically it was fixed before anyone used it.
