I wanted to make a poll but I don't know how to do that so do you:

Keep collecting gold/ectos/armbraces and leaving it in storage and look at it
Spend cash as soon as you get enough to get something
Saving for Fow armor
Spend it on titles
Other

This was inspired by the other thread "How much gold you have?" in offtopic and to those people who are just collecting cash, why do you do it?
with GW2 on the horizon (very very long ways away but still), why are you collecting?

myself, I've been collecting lately but I have no desire to get another fow or tormented weapon and not enough to get a uber rare mini. I might just unlock skills or buy something (dunno what yet) but I don't want to just collect and leave in storage. I hate doing titles so that's not going to happen.

do you just keep it because you worked hard for it? but why not spend/enjoy it? is it because you don't know what to get?

I keep 100k in bank an spend the rest, what's the point of having characters full of monies to just sit there an look at it? :P

GWs is my retail therapy. There's always an armor set I want or some new weapons

I use the majority of it, but always have 50k in storage, to spoil a new character, or if i'm just in the mood to buy my characters new stuff/armor.

I usually keep saving and then when I have a lot of money I screw up like a week ago when my friend moved everything to my pvp character cause he's too stupid to know that pvp characters dont hold all the gold. I then deleted it with 100k and several ectos. I learned from that so from now on I spend everything I earn.

I save for things I want and then I buy them when I have enough. Since I work on one thing at a time with my cash, I guess you could say I save it until I can afford the next item on my list?

I used to horde it (had over a few million at one point) just hoping something would come along thats over priced and for once I'd think it was worth it to be the first to have it. Day never came, nothing ever impressed me enough. So now I just buy armor sets left and right, never FoW though, FoW = Rip Off.

Since I have yet to go for Drunkard and Sweet Tooth title tracks, as well as a few others that require great sums of cash to complete, I save my money in case a time comes when I want to buy something to progress myself in one of them. I'm also kinda saving up for FoW armor.

i spend them most the time, since PvE is really has nothing else left to do besides weapon skins.so yea, everytime i see something i like, i just buy it, and use them in PvP

I let it sit in storage until storage bursts. Then I'll buy lockpicks since they have little to no variation in value. If a character happens to get somewhere for armor (and has the rep points to talk to the armorer), I'd think about doing that. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to farm Norn points for my monk to get her a furry Norn bunny suit.

I'm with quickmonty. I just bank it all away and then, if I see something I want, I buy it (and can afford to buy it). That's not to say I don't spend money, I do; I just try not to spend it foolishly.

Bought a Joko mini last Friday for 25k, and have already earned 15k of it back; would've prob earned it all back by now except I spent several hours when I could have been playing reading over the MallyX bans thread.

I used to keep the gold, but since GWEotN I've been working on titles and HoM. At the beginning they cost gold but working on some titles actually generate quite some gold (to be spent on other titles).
I predict by the time GW2 comes my GW1 chars will be broke.

When I find something I want, I save up until I can afford it. Then I buy it and break my bank. When there's nothing in particular I want, I just save it up until I want something.

I have saved all my money. I have 396k and 55 ectos. I think I am saving up for FoW armor but maybe not. Either way I am saving money just incase I ever really need it.

I used to spend my money right after I farmed it which was stupid of me. I now try to keep at least 50K in my petty cash fund located conveniently in my storage for all nine of my characters to share.

I spend it, although I don't generally have much to spend. I rarely farm, since I find it too boring, and I don't have many characters at a point where I can farm the areas that I might find fun (like the underworld. I did try trapping there once, but I failed miserably, so I haven't been back to try again yet).

Usually I spend it on elite armours for my Hall of Monuments. After I get those, I'll probably spend it on sweets and alcohol for those titles, and then start buying minipets. I doubt I'll ever have enough money to buy my favourite minipets (the panda is one of them. Zhed and Vizu are a couple of others. The polar bear, of course), but I'll get all the ones that I can (or I say I will now, but I probably won't).

I buy elite armor and high end weapons for all my characters. I usually have maybe 25k for a rainy day or a sudden urge to buy something less than 100k.

I usually buy armor sets. Lots of them. :\ That and multiple weapon sets.

Having basically covered as much of that as I wish, my next goal with gold would be the gold-heavy titles, I suppose. Have nothing else to buy really, save some skills and some cap sigs. I'm always broke, spending what I have right away, or saving for something to buy that makes me broke.

I'm saving up for those 9,000 more lockpicks and golds to ID. Thank you Asian bots for selling them so cheap. After that, I'll probably get every destroyer weapon on one character and buy as many 15k armor sets as possible to fill up my HoM.

When I have more than enough gold I usually buy any elite armor and dye I want. Otherwise I buy any weapon that I like and can afford. Also runes for heroes.

I generally use money for whatever project I happen to be working on. Right now I'm getting prestige armor for Vala. After that I will be buying white minis for my HoM. *lol* Mini Gwen is cute and all but I don't have the $$ to even consider buying any gold(except maybe the mini pig) or green minis.
