Having read about the "lore" of the map for GW2 and all the destruction that will happen, anybody think that this might be a representation of the map for GW2. The appearence of the expansion of the desert to Ascalon and the flooding of Kryta seem to suggest something prohpetic about its representation.

Persuadu, that is a map that is found throughout Prophecies. It is far from similar to GW2. For starters, Orr is still sunken. Many of the islands inbetween Kryta and Orr would be sunk due to the tidal wave. And it doesn't include the northern territories that are seen in Eye of the North. Also, Kryta is not flooded, the map is distorted to what we have when we press M to represent how there is no global (or aerial) view of the world from a lore perspective - i.e., the map is "guessed" locations.

Isn't there a way of checking text strings that have newley been added, i assume they will come under the 4h birthday pressent part.

Smithy is partly correct. The 3rd year minipets were spoiled by the .dat because somebody found the text string for them listing all of them "Miniature Mad King Thorn" etc. A.net might learn from there mistake and not put them in until the last minute.
Even when we found them in the .dat, we still didn't know which mini was what type of rarity.

I have the GW dat browser and everything downloaded, except it keeps trying to look in "C://Program Files/Guild Wars", when mine's in drive D://. anyone know where i fix this?

If you modify the dat, it's a EULA violation and ends with a banning. I do believe you have the full right to browse the files however.

honestly I think it's possible to do a graphics swap on dhuum using texmod if everything within the require armor type is in place. Does he have any exclusive features that stand out differently?
