Double gold and XP for successfully vanquishing a zone.

Double xp is pretty much useless, double gold is I guess somewhat nice? Would of been nice to just get a double point weekend, but hey then again we could get nothing.

virtually the entire reason to vanquish is for the rep and their titles, and that's mysteriously not included

more bad moves that leave me wondering who's in charge of these things

this is for real? I thought it was a joke, but it really IS a joke......so instead of getting 1000xp for taking an hour or so of you time to kill everything in a zone you will get 2000xp, yeah right I will run out and clear all those zones JUST for that,

NOT!

most of my characters need more xp like I need another hole in my head!
oh well, at least it means I can ignore the 'special' weekend again.

I support this week-end even though I have long ago completed all vanquishing there is to do in this game. I just wish it had come before certain PvE skills removed all the prestige there ever was with the Vanquisher titles.

Well i like to see that Areanet brings in new kinds of weekends, but how much can you vanquish in weekends, i maybe 3 areas but thats the top. That means maybe 5000xp more and 3k gold more. Well that is not so much, i geus the people with more time can get more. But what the heck a new weekend is a new weekend and i like Areanet bringing in new weekends and new stuff.

These double gold rewards should be the standard gold reward for Vanquishing a zone at any time (ie: not during events). On double Vanquishing events, it should be double the amount that is currently the double rate.

Anyhow I find it funny that so many call this weekend lame and yet there are many way more lame event weekend events, that have been done way more often, that never get complained about and instead get praised en masse (Ie: double XP for capturing an elite skill).

Not really, the point of vanquishing is to VANQUISH and get the VANQUISHER title. It just so happens that it also lends itself well to getting rep points due to the large amount of kills.

Considering I got 2k from vanquishing Drakkar Lake, double gold will mean I'll be getting 3k or so from normal sized areas, so I'm happy. Some of us aren't ungodly rich like you :P.

They should make it double chance of a gold drop then it might actually be useful..but to go from 1k to 2k?? we can farm that in about 10-15 min and they expect us to think oooo..I need ot go vanquish for the rewards?? ugh

I think things will be interesting this weekend. First of all, there will probably be a lot of people wanting to vanquish, including those who haven't really done so before. Thus, I'm guessing there might actually be some PUG's for vanquishing. Not that I would want to join one, lol, but its still cool.

I'm alltogether for it, as it will encourage a lot more participation in vanquishing. Not that I care about that, as I have a friendlist full of people that I do vanquishing with anyways, but the double gold will be nice.

I'm guessing there will be a lot of ursanway PUG's though.

I dunno why people are complaining. We could get a weekend like this and be happy, or they could decide to give us nothing. I myself will just look at it as a reason to go everywhere in HM. Double gold could add up pretty quick, and being as you're gonne be out and about anyways............

Maybe Anet should just do a weekend for both from now on? Like double faction/glad AND double/triple exp/gold from vanquishing, elite caps, missions, and whatever. Perhaps that would reduce some of the QQ.

And yeah, I'd rather get a small bonus than no bonus at all.
