Oh No.. not another Zaishen chest thread...
but seriously with its introduction, people (uber rich people, you know who you are)were outrage because they believe that it will destroy the already messed up economy of GW, after a month of having a zaishen chest, did it really messedep up the GW economy or was it false fear, or will it still affect us in the long run.

no flamers please.

Not really inscript has always sold for less and always will. It still is very hard to get the very rare cathan skins which are still very popular(Half of these dont even drop inscript yet).

Naw, it didn't.

Unless adding 64516846486464684967 Crem Brulees to the market ruined it.

No, it was messed up long before that.

Nope. The economy has been messed up for ages. Non-inscribable items are still worth more than their inscribable counterparts.

If 1 chest destroys an economy it would of been removed.

The economy was screwed since prophecies.
We call it the 55 I think?

Ahh, the good old days with the free chests!
Why'd you have to remove them, ANet!?!?

Yes it did!

You impliment a PvE reward to PvP players in an attempt to get PvE players to do more PvP so they can collect a PvE reward....and nobody see's this as a problem?

No this isnt a blast at PvP players, yes they deserve a reward. However didn't they get thier elite skin unlocks as a reward?

After this PvP chest began dropping its PvE rewards the prices of items dropped significantly. While many would think this is a good thing it also meant that people nolonger would bother selling items that are not perfect or highly in demand. Items that used to be an easy sell are now impossible to get rid of save to the merchants. And the ultra rare items are still outragously priced.

IMO the only this that it messed up was the most high end items, and even they aren't common drops from the chest. I don't think that it messed it up at all. If it were to start dropping mins than it might be a little more of a problem.
lol would be nice to get a mini Ghostly Hero from the Z-Chest

The economy is fine. There was the initial scare that all of the super rare items i.e, cryssies and Eternal blades would be 5k ea in a week, but after the original boom, things have settled down measurably.

the "rare" drops are like 1/10^1000, so alls good for high-end gear

- Either you play PvE or you play PvP or you don't play.
If you play PvE you get loot and that inflates economy.
If you play PvP you get Zaishen keys and loot at much smaller pace than PvE.
If you don't play, nothing happens.

So where do you see this destruction of economy again?

- Um... or was it because of collectors and max damage crafters that every non-max weapon is automatically worthless? Please think before you type crap like this.

Absolutely not! A good econmy is one with MANY TRANSACTIONS, not one with some rich guys.
Give a lot of people a lot of different items, and they will trade the ones they do not want to get the ones others got.
The more trades, the better. For that, the best would be the Xunali Market being real and not just a gossip.

On top of that, thanks to the Zaishen Chest giving all skins inscribed, now there is no excuse for inscriptions worldwide but "We have no time for that".

Now that the initial unspent Balthazar Faction and Tournament reward points are used up, it will keep a flow of a wide range of skins (along with other items)

Since there are so many skins, it's not 'everyone gets a Crystalline'.
I opened it around 20 times and I got only non-rare skins lonswords, flame staffs, round shields, etc...

Now we only need weapon upgrade traders so PvP-only players can get upgrades for the items they get there, the Xunali Market to increase the speed and quantity of trades and Inscriptions worldwide to remove the last glimmer of the flawed, counter-productive and much less versatile old system.

Yay. Zaishen chest and Xunlai Tournment House are two of the best ideas Anet has had for some time.

If you ask me, zaishen chest is one kind of mechanic that could potentially FIX the economy. Yes the economy was messed up long before it was implemented, and its' implementation has allowed rich players to funnel their money into buying hordes of keys. Wealth was spread from a few to many.

That in my book, is a good thing.

My elite armours still cost 15k per piece. My Superior Identification kits still cost 500g per piece. Etc.

I don't see the chest changing anything meaningful, just player economies that are variable depending on the players anyways.

Oh yeah, the economy is all kinds of screwed thanks to that chest. I mean, ecto for 2g a pop, bolts of cloth going for 200k each; it's just insane, man! Topsy-turvy! The world just doesn't make sense anymore!

I mean, my storage is packed full of nothing but Everlasting Beetlejuice Tonics and Mini Kanaxis, but I can't afford an Ident Kit.
