Who wants them in GW2?
I say... they'd be total pwnage... I kinda wish GW2 will be like Silkroa in that there arent any portals and stuff so you can kinda roam and be leet and all that jazz.
Anyway... mounts are ftw in any game... i can see my monk roaming around on a beastly beast while healing my team. Mount kiting ftw ^^

They'd have to be careful with adding mounts.
Would it give an advantage in combat.
Would it be useable in Pvp.
Would a player have to work for a long time to get ones with the most advantages.
Would it lead to item stacking based advantages.
Would it make PvE mandatory to succeed in PvP.
It can break the game if not done right.
Currently the games I've played with mounts are PvE games with a flawed PvP element tacked on.

I feel the same way as Malice. GW felt like the first online rpg where it was about what the player was capable of not the character. In other online rpgs I played, the character's items were more important than the mind behind the character.
Delete the character and you are nothing in the game. In GW it was different. A really good player stands as a good player no matter whose character they are using.

Anyway, I guess I can be serious for a sec or two. If mounts serve some sort of practical purpose that can't be fulfilled in some other way, sure, I wouldn't mind having one. But if we have faster means of travel, no real point in putting mounts in GW2.
Lol, well we got minipets, that other than looknig cool serve no purpose. I suppose if mounts were purely cosmetic, and it didnt make a difference if you were using them or not, then why not?
Although they may conflict with this class: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Iron_Legion
Fore those of you that are too lazy to press link, two words...
Seige Devourers
Maybe one more word for those of you that have not clued in...
Charr
if there is a similar class for each race, then i think mounts would probably be implemented ingame for these specific classes (to each race).
added: Or added ingame as the form of Large-scale pvp seige units (yes there will be a large scale pvp in the mists, as stated in several sources like magazine articles).
