I'm pretty sure the anti-ursan crowd is missing the entire point of this thread. If you don't like ursan, then compete in the no pve-only skills format for times, which is the other agreed upon format, which does not include ursan. Skill, in the context of this thread is this, given the same tools to work with, can you defeat your opponent. In this case, the tools are skills/builds, and your opponent is the group with the best time in an elite area. Time stamps have nothing to do with opinions.

non ursan and NM, but we can do simular time in HM as we got more suggestions and improvement :P
OFFTOPIC: Ursan speeds up a LOT more in a team than an imbagon will ever do. in a topic based on TIME not , er , safety, i would say ursan or not matters. but this is offtopic like i said and keep it to the times, ursan or not.
Edit: dude im not saying imbagon doesnt speed up, but its by far not in the league as ursan, speedwise. you cant say ursan isnt faster than almost all builds you can think of without ursan. but like i said, i dont care if its ursan or not in this thread.

Having a good strategy is 1, but succesfully completing that strategy without mindlessy bashing 1-2-3 and forgetting all kinds of rules (positioning etc) is another story. That said, non-ursan times have twice as much respect than ursan times imo.
But since it's about the fastest time I guess (sadly) we're all equal..

My guild just hit our best time in FoW tonight.
The Incredible Three Stooges [TiTS] is a small guild, but we made a small name for ourselves developing and running 6-man Deep Teams (way back before Nightfall and HM). I briefly had a posted walk-through on wiki before they ganked the build page. Our best pre-NF 6-man deep time was 49 minutes, but unfortunately I do not have a screenshot to prove it.
Our new best FoW time is 44 minutes, using an Ursan team and consumables. There were 4 guild members and a guy we've ran with before named Spiritual Arrows from the guild "The Dawn of Unchained Faith". The rest were just random people who joined the group.
Each person left un-blanked on the screenshot gave permission to be left visible.

From the looks of it, there may be quite a few catagories that could be added here. The number currently at two, being pve-only skills and no pve-only skills may be too non-inclusive for the variety of methods people like to use. Maybe we should add more catagories to include more people. As I said in a previous post, it would be really nice to just get more people involved to maybe show anet some potential in competative pve.
I apologize if my most recent post was a little vehement, but I am a little irritated at some peoples insistance that running non-ursan team somehow equates to more skill, prestige, etc. But regardless, everyone is able to run any format they wish, really. So maybe we could add a non-ursan catagory, 2-man/Heros catagory for FoW and UW, 6 man for the deep, etc. Maybe even a non-ursan/non-imbagon catagory

To prevent this from turning into a flame fest again, just go ahead and use whichever build you like. You have the option of sharing details with the community or giving some broad description (ie no pve skills, cons..).Other than that there is no limit to what you can or cannot use.
Last thing we need is more categories..

glad to see we still hold the record for UW HM most of our group have been on rings aaaall weekend and tommorow the core people will be joining up and we are gonna smash our 35minutes into the ground! so get ready ladies and gentlemen for a HW run done with only one conset :O

Which is why for the contest we ran with an independent ref to monitor skill usage and do the times.
In a thread such as this, where the aim is to see just how fast some things can be done, nothing more, nothing less then things just need to be taken on trust.
Unless people are going to start putting observers on teams then there's no way around it.

When people post a time and classify it as either PvE skills used or no PvE skills used, I'm assuming the guild in question has some honor and can be trusted to report the truth.
As for blacking out a skill bar-some people are just guarded about their specific build. Maybe it's a new skill set that they're not ready to share, or it's a "For Guild's Eyes" only type of build.
So anyone who reports times with a screen shot-I'm trusting you to be honest!

Having the complete 'U' map visible would be a good thing to excluded time cheaters would it not ? If you disconnect and reconnect your map is reset as well.

Thanks for the appriciation. I hope This demonstrates what team work can accomplish. Ursan or not.(we only use 2 ursans by the way so its not a far jump to a more conventional build)that 29 minunte run we had a glitchy start and a slow down in the mountain.. so our time is beatable!
As for those that want ro run with us, i sugest instead taking this to your guild and aliance and do the learning curve for these methods.
This group has a large enough playerbase that a pug would be very lucky now to get in, as there are several people that can do terra several taht can do monk, etc...
I have shown several guilds this method briefly as i get pms quite alot to go terra for people. so i introduce a half assed 1 or 2 terra version of what we do,and still get them through in less than an hour.
53 minutes was the best time with 1 terra.( i think) and if the main group is there for the chest and not the ectos, then get the most out of your tera tank. dont jsut send him off to pits. make him work! he can solo literaly half the place with his bar! so make him do more than one area and time it with the main group so that your done at the same time. Make sure no one has to wait. the terra should not have to wait for the main group more than 30 secons.. and vise versa. and if he cant keep up.. then make him re adjust his bar or gear or something.but work the terra in to do more than just bone pits.
