Just now I hit the jump box to go back to Riverside and got redirected to a Casino site. I couldn't have hit the banner at the top by accident as the jump box is at the bottom of the page.
Should that be happening?

Now that I am a paid subscriber to Guru I no longer have problems with pop-ups at home, where I am always 'logged in'. My problem is at work, where I don't want to be permanently logged in on a computer where others have access.
The problem is the pop-ups actually interfere with logging in. There are usually at least two and they interupt when I am typing my name in to log in. Small problem, but a real pain when I end up having to retype my name in log in, and it always seems to intrupt the first two or three letters leaving me with "ckmonty" which I then have to delete and start over. The annoying thing is that no matter how long I wait, they don't do the interupt thing until I actually start typing my name.

my those are annoying, as for the casino redirect, that is weird, we shouldnt have those, you sure you have no spyware? does this happen on other websites?
are people getting popups when being logged in? that is what I need to confirm, because I am not getting them when being logged in, so if its only one person getting popups while being logged in, it could mean you have spyware on your system. Do a scan with AVG Anti Spyware and HiJack This.

No pop ups once I am logged in. It's the ones that interupt the logging in process that are bugging me.

I am using, I guess your basic nonsubscription forums, and I havent had any problems with popups. Dunno if this is useful info or not. Just relaying it.
And it auto logs me when coming to forums from the home page.

If you auto log (I do that at home) the pop-ups (or pop-unders) should not be a problem.

Heh Inde deletes all references to popup blockers. You have to remember this site is funded by such popups. It would be counterproductive to advertise ways to block them..

I personally get them every once in a great while while logged in, but I usually Right Click ---> Close before I see what they are.

or when you're logged in...the log in times out and bam bombarded by stupid pop ups while you're trying to close them and type your password. First pop up should start once you navigate to a page not /index.html

Not really about a pop up but about an advertising thread. (Didn't see fit to make a whole new thread for it) Anyways their are some ads at the top of the site that will make sounds. Some beep others actually talk to you. Many of them talk about winning "free" things. They are very annoying, just wanted to make you guys aware of it. Thanks.

I spent about 2 mins yesterday walking around trying to find out where this annoying beeping sound was coming from. Turns out it was from one of the ads. oO Didn't happen to see which one but it went away when I went to a different page.

Wasn't sure where to put this so i figured this was the most appropriate area. I just wanted to say that the pop ups on this site when you login are absolutely horrible. A new one has shown up that redirects to ebay auctions. Is there a way that pop ups can be disabled for logged in or usres that are logging in to their account? Hell i'd pay $10 or $15 a year if i didnt have to deal with these popups!! anyone else have this much of a problem?

I find that I tend to get popups if I click to look at a thread that opens it in a new window. Yes, I'm logged in.
Also, the going to the next page of a thread and being taken to a random eBay item has happened to me too.

K, the ebay one I'm investigating. Wanmoke, if you open a new window sometimes it does show up as logged out. Sometimes the cookies don't carry over.

Someone grab me the url of the ebay, I'm thinking this is an interstitial rather then a redirect but can't get anyone who can post a screenshot when this happens. If you are getting pop-ups, please grab the URL, screenshot etc. I have received none, and I troll just as much as any of you.
