I used to customize all of my weapons/staves/wands for that extra burst of damage.

Now, I usually don't.

As a more mature player, I choose skills/heroes/henchies that compliment each other.

I've started to resell weapons I've outgrown to others in the position I was in months ago. (I call it community service. )

What's the point in having extra damage in a non-martial weapon anyway? I could see if customization added 20% Energy from that staff or wand, but they aren't designed for physical damage.

What are your thoughts?

i customize weapons for classes that actually use them to attack. for caster items, i just leave them uncustomized so i can shuffle them around if i need to.

I do customize weapons for my warrior, assassin, ranger and paragon: daggers, bows, spears, axes, swords and hammers. Other than that, no.

Nope, the increase isn't worth it.

Yes. For my ranger, i have 12 customized bows; mainly did it for pvp.

Other than that, my warrior has a few customized items, and 2 customized spears on my paragon.

I never customize caster equipment.

If you think reselling caster weapons is worthwhile, yeah don't customize.

I don't need to squeeze that 20% damage in PVE and I create another PVP character for PVP.
so no custommize.

Back in the early days, I would customize stuff but only stuff that was easily replacable, like collectors weapons or cheap common greens. Then I stopped, though I did customize an Elwyth's Recurve for my 1st ranger just last year. Didn't customize the one I got for my newer ranger and really haven't noticed much difference.

Isn't worth what?

spending 1 hour and getting 1K you get from reselling ancient caster weapon or skin was popular ages ago?

Besides that, there are no max weapons in GW that you can outgrow. Really, there are none.

It just makes no sense keeping weapon for reselling. Either you keep it for using and customized it knowing that it will have negligible resale value anyway or you resell it immediately.

People who buy martial weapons and wouldnt even consider like a 14 over 50, should customise their weapons. If you truly want max to the LAST percent, why not add the last 20%?

I pvp on all of my pve chars so everything is customized... I don't really give a rat's ass about how much the item is worth because i'm keeping it and not going to resell in the future.

(On side note: it would be awesome if ctrl+clicking weapons also informed group about customization status)

I Customise anything that is meant to deal damage really. If you spend 100k+xx buying a 15^50 weapon and then not custumising it, why don't you just get a white one for free and get +20% from customising, you'll do alot more damage ;-)

Why would anyone not customize their weapons especially on physicals? For resell? There are hardly rare weapons in GW, many weapons decrease in value overtime. I usually sell those 'rare' gold weapons and use collectors instead, or even better yet use greens if they have desired stats and skins and purple weapons as well.

Nope. I usually change my weapon after a while and sell my old one. I'm a caster anyway and don't see the point in Customize.. wand to death ftw?
