Do You Customize?
Malice Black
Customizing expensive items is the best part. Nothings says 'my e-peen is bigger then yours' then customizing something worth a few million. Happy days

I customized 1 caster weapon. I did it before I understood what customization did. I thought it helped with spell damage, so went for the investment.
Now that I know how customization works, I laugh at people who customize caster weapons. If you need to wand someone to death, there are other problems you face, not the damage.

[email protected] caster weapons.

I gave in awhile ago and customized, swords, axes, spears, sycthes, hammers etc. Basically 20% is like adding vamp damage with every hit.
I never have liked the whole customize system anet has. I'd rather it not exist at all or pay the weapon smith to have the customized removed anytime later. PvE has been flawed with little things like this that kinda bug me.
But in PvE land all u need is shield Zealous sword/axe and Ursan gogo.

I customize weapons for war/sin, even though they are expensive..
Ouchie
Sometimes depending on what it is since I share weapons on many heros accross characters

I don't customise. 4 extra damage per attack is nothing with melee and I usually give my collection of rare swords away to people who actually play a melee class.
They're beautiful, but I'm a pure elementalist. My warrior friend has more use for them.

I customize green weapons... since they are easier to get.
I don't customize the rest of my items cause I have caster weps and damage doesn't matter anyways.

All of my Necro's weapons are customized - staffs, caster swords... he's my main, so he will keep his stuff
ah... i only played about 100h on my warrior - so not really much. But somehow i was crazy enough to do this

Wild Karrde
Yes, Moar Damage Pls!!!
Tyla
Always on martial classes.
On casters, I should be moving more than attacking, so no to them.

I customise everything I use. If I go out of my way to buy something, it means I wanted it. I'm not going to resell it later. If I keep a drop, it means I want it, and I'm not going to sell it later. Also, you simply aren't as effective as you can be if you don't customise your weapons.
Accursed
I don't customize because if I'm low on money, I would sell the rare item so I would be abe to recover that money I lost.
Blackest Rose
I customize everything I'm sure I will keep and play with.
If there's a chance I'll sell something I usually will not customize but as a result usually don't use that weapon/focus/shield etc.

Age
I don't customize because I may switch between one or two of them I may sometime though.

i just use the weapons from the bonus mission pack with mods ive already got on them. i sell the crap people think looks "cool" to them. most newbs think the skin makes them better weapons
Zesbeer
i don't customize for the one reason of reselling. i wish they would make customize like how the mini pets are so everyone on your acount can use them.
slowerpoke
i customise my armor
Pan Head
i try a new weapon out a bit and if i like it and going to keep it foe any amount of time i customise
maraxusofk
i wish u could customize shields for bonus armor.
freaky naughty
Weapons for casters no, those aren't for dmg dealing they're for the bonuses they give. As for physical weapons I customize all of them why wouldn't you?
arsie
I have almost completely forgotten the existence of customised weapons. I kinda treat them as an annoyance, such as the BMP ones etc. Not that I am a trader, I just like the option of swapping stuff between my characters.
Aera Lure
I customize anything I use. I dont see the point of not customizing anything you use.
Crom The Pale
Anything that I use that is purple or blue is insta customized.
For golds only if I know for absolute certainty that I won't ever wish to sell it.
example R8 Zodiac sword and R8 Chaos Axe, I will never sell so I customized!

For PvE, whatever.
For PvP, you're bad if you don't.

I always customize my weapons, no matter how much I paid for it.
People who don't customize fail imo : D

Most stuff that i don't wish sellig i costumize. Although i often regret i when i stop using that weapon (like r8 weapons)
Shai Lee
I think that I would customize weapons more if it was account based and not character based.
blurmedia
I customize all scythes, daggers, hammers, swords, axes, and spears I don't use as caster weapons. Customizing focus and shields is dumb.

Any weapon that is dependent on it's damage is going to be customized. If I am worried about selling the item I need to just sell it. That extra 15% is fairly useful.
Since casters are only interested in the mods on the weapon I almost never do. That way I can swap them around characters and their heroes. I have some older weapons I customized before heroes but I've always regretted doing that (especially a Rago's Fire Staff that my fire Ele no longer uses but my mains Acolyte Sosuke would *really* like). My ele only uses it when she isn't running a SF build otherwise her Zhed Shadowhoof uses it.

I'm not sure which is sadder, customizing for bragging rights -and still having a suboptimal weapon-, or not customizing stuff at all.
Have to say its amusing to see how many people are bad... ehm... "choose to play suboptimally".

I have customized every sword/axe/hammer and every bow. Even the R9 gold ones and my R11 crystalline. But there are not very expensive weapons so 20% more damage is good for you ^^
But, if I were Todeshand, I'm not sure I'd have customized this unique piece ^^;
