2. Yes. 3. Because I can. 4. Never. In fact, I ALWAYS expect EVERY person in the internet (that includes online games such as Guild Wars) to be male. 5. See 4. 6. I also expect that everyone else ALWAYS expects EVERY person in the internet (that includes online games such as Guild Wars) to be male. Which means I always expect that everyone knows that I am male, while playing a female char. So naturally I can't take any advantage of my avatar's gender. 7. See 4 (and never had a situation where the opposite was proven, so.. no.) 8. Always depends on my mood and on what looks better for a certain class in a certain game. |

Since many people play guild wars as a hobby for maybe an hour or more per day, they want to enjoy it as much as possible. If that means they want to have a female character over a male character (maybe because 1. there aren't as many female chars from my own experience and 2. female sprites look better) I really don't see how that sounds pathetically desperate. |

It's not easy to use my character's masculinity to my advantage against other men, unless ... 7. Only if they ask for it. Sometimes I make fun of my friend Mike(forum username Mike the Spike) on the public chat channel because he loves playing females and likes to pretend he's a dainty young girl. 8. No. I don't mind looking at the backside of a male avatar for hours on end. It makes me feel unique. |

From another angle, plenty of girls think various celebrities they will never meet in real life are hot. As long as my girlfriend doesn't take her crush on Johnny Depp past idle fantasy, it's fine. As long as I don't take my crush on Scarlett Johansson or my avatar in Guild Wars beyond that, it's fine. |
