~A Leprechaun~ I don't know if you can do it with this build, but I've had success in the spider cave with the sliver armor variant. I don't do a full clear, because once you're down to one or two spiders it takes a long time for sliver to do its work, but you can kill several from the huge spawn up front.

Minimized Rook
to prevent scattering just let shadow form run out 1nce, lowering your health to 53 and from then on keep the SF chain going, works for me (only in NM though)

i've had a few failed runs, but it doesn't matter as it only takes 3-4 mins to get to the Behemoths, i just charge on to the traps if it's blocked...
i've not actually payed for a run yet... i normally get 1-3 scrolls per run once i get to the planes...

anyone try a
5 sup runed sin with a -20hp focus = 85hp health sin?
given things don't run when you have <100hp, you should be good to go and won't have to deal with any kind of scattering.
i would try but i am at work atm.

i would try but i am at work atm. Not a bad idea. I might try it tomorrow. Btw if you do so, you should have a running armor with high hp in case you set a trap or aggro a blackness.

i would try but i am at work atm. I think earlier in this thread it was put forth that the low hp agro (I like to call it "blood agro") is calculated not by being below x hp but by being below x% of your max hp. I haven't tested that myself but it makes sense. Even if you're at 85 hp, your hp bar will be full at 85 hp and thus you wouldn't have "low health".

I finally got to try this run out last night. Didn't have a whole lot of success (and no I am not QQ'ing).
I seem to have some troubles with getting to the Plains. I sometimes get surrounded by the Bladed's and can't escape them. They hit me with deep wound and I bleed to death. Or the Graspings nail me when dying and take my energy.
When I am running to the plains I got hit with Shock from the Chargeds, they then surround me and trap me from moving. Also got nailed by traps a few times.
I finally made it to the plains on my 7th or 8th try and got to kill the Mindblades. Got ZERO ectos and only 1 gold LOL. Oh well, live and learn.

= you're not doing it right nancy.
Don't swing at the aatxe, they have deadly riposte. You just target them to throw on MoR, then step one step to stop swinging. If you keep attacking them =epic fail

You have two options here:
One, if you use [phoenix]/[inferno] build the next spell that hits AFTER you;ve hit them TWICE with each dmg spell will give them enough adrenaline to drain you. Before casting that fifth spell, switch to a -energy longbow (i use that for pulling also). After the drain, switch back yo your high energy set
Two, and probably the easiest is to use the [Mark of rodgort]/[lava font] combo. They will never get enough adrenaline to use [fear me] (burning damage doesn't trigger adrenaline gain)

For traps find a straight line to get through and use dash. you won't trigger the traps. As for charged blacknesses, let the first group run up the mountain before you follow them and don't aggro them. Afterwards, if you don't stall too much you should be able to get ahead of the second patrol. if you still can't manage to do that, right before engaging the patrol (now) station at the entrance to plains, renew shadow form so you have time to maneuver in peace, and just run past them, using dash when you get almost in touch range to them, then keep running. they will lose aggro and even if you take a couple of [shock]s you will survive
Hope this helps Kai beanerman_99
Thanks for the tips guys. Ya, I am a Nancy cause I was swinging away with my totem axe :P. I am in the noob learning stages for UW as I rarely ever go there. I didn't know the Charged's were patrolling. I will pay better attention to their movements now, thanks Kai.
BTW I love your Clown Gun avatar Puddin A Leprechaun
Lol, big aggros = fast time. I usually do it in over 30mins but I got a 23 min run today by doing the 4-3-2 rider aggro method and thats including that 8 or so dryders at the end ^^.
~A Leprechaun~ CE Devilman exploiter
One q9 str Gloom Shield dropped for me, but I accidentaly merched it before identified :P Im so clever
Master Necromanz
I think it's too overfarmed now... but now evryone gets his foW (I had before... but now I have for more chars...)
But a week ago I had only3 ectos a run now 6-8... its dependend on your luck. Tirath Eldrahir
I created a sin just to play this build. Call me a lamer if you want to, i probably am one^^
I took 3 runs to catch the mana tempo, and one more to understand how to get to the chaos plains? Now, 8 ectos per run, not trying to go too quickly^^ but only crappy golds. I play with a major rune I caught from the seller, but its way enough, i guess. Elven Knight
I was able to buy one this morning for 15k, all it takes is patience and quick reactions when you see one in the trade of party search. I got my rune after only 5 minutes of looking for someone who was selling one, so I was rather fortunate, although not everyone will be so. All I have to do still is level my sin up.
I'd like to correct myself, I bought it for 14k. Okay, I just noticed, you said they use "Fear Me"...but isn't that an adrenaline charged skill? How can they use that if they haven't hit you due to Shadow Form? Sneaky Cat
i tried this last night...and had good runs
thanks boogerboy72

adren builds from damage taken,
viper11025
I give UP on it and fow farming SERIOUSLY with a sin at least.
Anets server does a giant rubberbanding on me when I get past the obsidians. All my friends can do it though. Its like this. Get right past them then this guy pops in to kill me. http://www.apostropher.com/blog/img/...ler_rabbit.JPG Elven Knight
Hmmm...doesn't work that way on my war...I'm going to start looking into that...the only way I get adren is through physical dmg or hitting my enemies.
viper11025
Adrenalines wierd imo.

If you keep attacking them =epic fail Or just hit c to target nearby foe without attacking. As to the "Fear Me" energy steal, I learned this way in tombs: take zealous daggers to begin with and attack the grasping darknesses (just don't attack the bladed). Even though the initial energy is low and you are doing 0 dmg, the gain from hits more than makes up for the 1 pip loss. Have a 2nd set of very high energy (+12 offhand, +5 weapon, +15-1 offhand inscription). That gives you a difference of 27 between your daggers and your high energy set - which is a little more than what you need to pull off the swiftness/DP/SF chain so if they do get you down to 0 at the wrong moment you can switch to the high energy set and immediately gain what you need. I also carried a 3rd set with no energy penalty in case I needed to gain energy a little faster while not hitting, but I never needed to use it. As to the run to the plains - not much help we can give for lag. But, I find that I like dark escape better than dash or flame djinn. Its -50% dmg means that I could take a couple hits from the charged blacknesses without worrying too much (I was, however, running the earth sin build in normal mode so I did not need flame djinn for damage dealing) Mr. Undisclosed

I must've gotten over 80 ectos from this farm, but just yesterday I had one of my best runs, 3 golds and 8 ectos. I average 5-7 ectos. I use the MoR/LF build, and average about 22 minutes/run without really trying. I dash past all Charged Blacknesses and take the shortest route possible to the Planes. I also kill the terrorweb dryders near the Mindblade spawn.

i tested the 85hp sin and it doesn't work, they scatter.
however, its easy to maintain a lower health with a vamp weapon when your hp is already low. sometimes i forget to keep the regen away and end up with too much health when i am busy chatting. having only 85hp lets me degen pretty quickly, but probably not worth the inv space Slabby
Is this run possible with a minor shadow rune ?
Edit: Nvm I just tested it, rather close if you ask me. Vexed
Possible but tight as you said.
A Major rune will give you a comfortable period of time to renew SF, and is not that hard to come by. A superior makes it ridiculously easy to keep SF up, but is expensive unless you're lucky enough to find one yourself (or stubborn enough to hold out until one drops for you, like I was). Slay From The Hell
19 minute run, chaos plains + dryders, 8 ecto's
Using Lava Font + Mark of Rotgort skills;] Nice jop discovering this Vann Borakul
I have a record of 13 ectos. I got 5 really fast, then a drought, then the other 8 dropped in near rapid succession. Has anyone beat that?

If you take stuff out all at once you get less 'junk' drops and collectable drops. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference for the gold drop rate however. If things drop one after the other I tend to walk away with more. Don't know if anybody else has found this happening. Yeah....I recently did a run, pulled 3 dream riders, so when it got to the groups of 9 mindblades, that's 27, and I let SF run out. 27 mindblades= 1 drop of 100 gold coins. I believe this to be true |
