Will you be purchasing Guild Wars 2?

I think a lot of people here have questions that have been answered in a way here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2.
Based on the "projected" gw2, I will buy it.

Yes - on day 1 (or before if i get beta)
I might not agree with all the last six months changes in GW1 - but the amount of time i've played make me believe that the same developer group will turn out a game that is worth playing. BUT i think I will still be playing
GW1 as well.
If after a few months I find i've made a mistake I'll carry on doing the stuff I like on GW1.
After three years - and a low bordom threshold - I still find different things to do as and when I feel like it.

The main question for me isnt the money, its the time investment again. Depends when it comes out and where I am at with things.
That said, I'm also very unlikely to get a new PC. I've long been a Mac user. My PC was having troubles, so I retired it, and I from GW (again). I currently dont have an Intel Mac, but that's my next computer purchase, as well as a Mac laptop. No way I'm installing Windows crap on my Macs, so unless Anet finally releases a Mac version (hah) or I have a change of heart on getting a new PC, its pretty much a "no" for me whatever the reviews are. I say that now I know (lol), but if its buy a new gaming PC specifically for GW2, its going to have to be the ideal game and far better than the "I wonder if my old crappy PC can run it" scenario that GW was.
I'm still here on the forums. Still love the game, obviously, so that at least is saying something.
Guess we'll see.

Arena Net now knows what to do and not do for the most part.

No I can't decide between a yes or no. The game has not been released nor is it near release...

It's hard to answer this question when we don't even know what GW2 will actually be. Funny, that.
If it's anything like GW1 is now, there won't be any point. If you want grind, there are better games out there for it, where both the aesthetic and practical rewards are far greater than anything you can get in GW. If you want skill, there are better games out there. And if you want community, there are better games out there. About the only hook that GW continues to have is the pseudo-MMO aspect without a monthly fee, but that's not a significant factor for me. If anything, the game might benefit from a higher bar for entry

If you are sitting on the fence, don't post. It's a yes/no thread. He wants yes or no answers, and why. No maybe's. No, well, if I don't see my shadow, I'll buy it, but if I do see it, I'll run away and stay home 6 weeks.
It's his thread. You want a maybe, post your own thread. after the first five people saying they want "maybe" with no change, I'd think they could guess there won't be that choice.
On topic...by the time they come out with a new game, I'll be onto something better. There are a lot of games just out or in the pipe. I'm willing to cough up the price of three lattes and change per month for a game that fits my tastes.
To the one that hoped for a Linux port...Anet is Microsoft's RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO. They are DirectX bitches that have all Microsoft servers....which explains their slowness and lack of good security. Vista will be the min req for the game. WoW actually is the best MMO on the linux side, and you still need an emulator for it.

@Sir Seifus Halbred, quickmonty, and Clarissa F quickmonty, I don't care what he chooses or if he chooses at all. I don't know why, but for some odd reason it just seemed like the dumbest thing to say. What the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO is maybe going to tell anyone? I've seen other people ask for that, but please mod don't change it. You're either with or against(hypothetically). Clarissa basically explained it perfectly, I thought I'd never see anyone with that much understanding. If you can't decide then you don't have to vote.

thank you.
