I have a sad story to share.
First of all, I'd like to tell you about me. My e-alias is often known as Lemming Emoface or Lemming Rides Muse. I'm a poor kid who's been sad for most of my life, given that I live in Hawaii but can't swim. It sucks when people ask me to go to the beach, and I'd have to say "sorry I'm busy" or something, when in fact it's because of my inability to swim without flotation devices. Then my life was all turned around when I met this girl, Divine Muse, also known as Musey Juicy. I knew it was love at first sight, and our love developed as we went through guilds such as Xxx The Final Thrust Xxx and The Jagerbombs (as a side note, you can see that I'm still in Xxx The Final Thrust Xxx in memory of her). We went through so many turmoils, and we've fought through so much. Despite necros, snuff, and divine never healing me, Muse was always there to ward me and toss me a boon. Despite the noodle running off to solo bases and leaving me with all the blinds because dark can't interrupt for shit, I endured through it. Why? Because I had Muse. She was like an angel to me. Then one day, she disappeared. I waited. One day, two days, three days. Eventually all I'd do is get on Guild Wars, open the guild roster, and see that Muse has been gone for a week. It eventually grew to two weeks. I wouldn't even PvE or GvG during that time. It was definitely a sad moment for me, but I held back my tears, thinking she was just busy in real life. About 2-3 weeks after her leave from Guild Wars, I had the courage to finally call her to figure out what's wrong. "Hello? Is this Muse?" "Hey! Who's this?" "Oh, uhhh, it's Lemming, from Guild Wars. I missed you a lot." "Sorry Lemming baby, I should've told you this, but I already found a new love in World of Warcraft." "Can I join you?" *hangs up* I cried so hard that day that I didn't even eat (and I love to eat!). My parents tried to console me, but that didn't work. It felt so terrible, like my life force was just being torn away from me. To this day, I still wander the lands of World of Warcraft trying to find Muse, but still don't know which server she's on even. |

I mean, I can take it (check my email inbox for example... yes I laugh when you forum users email me screaming and cursing myself, my family and my dog for a ban). But I am really really bad at dishing it out. My feeble attempts have been laughed at many times in IRC. |

No, but I did meet three douchebags in AB and RA respectively. After hitting some PvE milestones I decided to sit back and enjoy some casual PvP.
First round my team heads to the middle, all 4 of us as I'm playing with myself and 2 guildies. I say so in party chat, and move there. This dick then goes "f*** you im going middle!" If he had said that any other way, I'd have moved. Instead, nah, I'll stay right here dickweed. Throughout the whole match he proceeds to curse and anything and everything and basically be an abomination to the human race. We win, which actually made me sad, because it meant by extension that he won.
Couple of rounds in the other side is sporting a team clearly coordinated well with efficient snare Mesmers, WoH Monk, and a WS Derv. Of course, any coordination and/or skill in AB means you're going to destroy pretty much whatever you come across. About 200 points in, the Derv starts talking bad about... well, every build he comes in contact with. It doesn't matter if you're good enough to do so, the fact that you're doing it just to be a dick makes you even more of a dick.
Then in RA, some idiot Monk on the other team gets angry because he died and insults my Grenth's Grasp chain. I don't care if it doesn't run in GvG, this is RA, and I intend to be whatever the hell I want. It works much better than most of the retarded Sin chains out there and at least I know how to properly watch health and location and target swap. So after we beat him he starts insulting me and goes on with "omglol im top 200 gvg and recruit for rawr." Even if it's true am I supposed to be impressed? You die, then insult me and defend yourself with an immaterial claim that either way is irrelevant to the situation? Rational. That doesn't make you better than me, it makes you cocky. Cocky and with a dead Monk in RA. If you're reading this, find something more stable to base your emotional security on.
Sorry, needed to rant a bit after three bad visits to the PvP world. As I told the first noob, 8 year old child + internet anonymity = total douchebag.

One day on vent, me and a couple of friends started getting really bored so we started
taking turns singing whatever songs we wanted to sing. It was my turn and I choose to sing Temperature by Sean Paul. Of course, I didn't know all of the lyrics because it's almost impossible to understand everything he's saying in that song. So every time the song was to inaudible to understand, I filled the lyrics in with my own mumbojumbo.
Here's how it went:
Me (singing): Well woman the the way the time sabadangbeeda keepin ya waaaarm.
I got the right temperature for shelter you from the storm. OOOOOh Lord, sadang feeda bongshidda tactics beedabah shoo on. And girl I...

Nope. A lot of people have made me laugh, but I don't cry over my own rage and general emotions.
Strangely I easily get touched by other peoples emotions, so I often cry during sad movies and books (Not Titanic though. The Book Thief, Of Mice and Men ending, Forest Gump, A lotta anime and manga has made me weep though).

I did have a really big cry when my guild-family of the past year was splitting up. And again the second time this spring, when I had to decide whether to stick with the guild or join the splinter guild. There was a long night of tears and a flurry of texting with my best guy friend (and main crying shoulder). And then more tears as I was writing a letter of resignation to my GL. I'm glad I'm back and that things have settled down.
Yeah, I'm overemotional and overinvolved. But you have to understand that during that time I had adopted kind of a position of being the unofficial guild guidance counselor/guild mom (despite being one of the youngest, haha), and everyone, from all sides of the fight, was dumping their problems on me, and whenever I was gone for more than a day things would fall apart a little more. And I was really busy at school and with my piano final. So I was under a lot of stress.

I can't really understand how you could end up crying in GW I mean it IS just a game. If some1 manages to piss me off that much I just /ignore or in the vent case mute them.
The only video type orientated thing I can remember crying in was the ending to Wolf's Rain, anyone who thinks that wasn't just totally depressing has issues.

This happened with the second guild I was in. It was just after Halloween 2005 and we were getting bored with GW a bit and we starting PvPing and some members started behaving the same thing again.
We had a female in the guild and she was called names. Also where we were doing those MM runs to farm Sorrow's Furnace, a couple people used to draw inappropriate images on the map and a couple ladies left the guild as well.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa WHOA! I truly hope some of you guys don't have girlfriends, if you do, I hope you're a little more tuned in to issues than what you are showing here. Women have a different way dealing with emotions. That's probably why you don't see us going on shooting rampages at colleges and schools.
So, just to let you know, GW had NOTHING to do with the girl crying so let's not even go there.
What DID make her cry was a supposed friend yelling at her, it could have been over a soccer game, a bowling game, a ping pong game or whatever. Get my drift? She cried because a friend was insensitive and mean and turned on her publically blaming her, yelling at her, SHAMING her for something she may or may not have done. Under no circumstance is that ever approrpiate and whoever did this should be deeply ashamed of himself. He showed bad sportsmanship to the extreme. He showed lack of leadership. This is not, no matter what sport you play, a way to gain cooperation of your teammates.
I'm pretty tough, but I think I would have had the same reaction if someone I knew and trusted and thought of as a friend launched into me like that. And remember, the tears aren't boo-hoo I'm sad. It's more than that, it's all the anger, hurt and rage.
People here need to stop being so quick to be nasty. That's probably why most of PvP is such an epic failure. Instead of trying to figure out what went wrong, people want to point fingers and blame other people.

Anyways: Girls do have different ways of dealing with emotions. Sometimes lol. I've known more guys that cried out over something than girls tbh. And it's not like they were sissies. Normally they would be categorized as tough guys :P
I've never cried over a friend who has betrayed me. When I get betrayed I become stunned more than that. That's even worse because I mostly have no idea what to do or how to react. It's like thinking: "Should I cry? Should I yell back? What should I do?" And that feeling is, to me, horrifying.
Anyways back to that girl: I don't know the case, but she could have been crying over GW. If the situation was stressed she could have had a small breakdown causing her to tense up and cry. It's not weak really, just a pretty common reaction to stressed situations.
EDIT: Just reread the first page. Why this sounds like you are probably right, that she left because of that abuse from her former friend.

Guild road rage. Saw it happen once. When the GM did not step in, I left the guild too. Guilds need a strong GM with consistent principles and those are hard to find.

Crying over the internet/Guild Wars?
The internet is completely devoid of humanity and mercy, proved by suicide from internet bullying and the culprits just not caring. It has no rules, it doesn't play by them so you can't either. Any humanity you hold with you while conversing on the internet, you better drop it like it's hot.

Hell if people did what you say they should do, slavery and racism would still be ok, instead of frowned upon and illegal, and the progress of the world would come to an end.
Stop that attitude please! You are simply giving up! I know this might sound like idealistic bs, but hell so did the teachings of Martin Luther King, and now a black (well at least black enough to be called black) guy is the president of the most powerful country in the world. Never say die!
