some of you may have seen me (spider clown) throwing this out in all chat in american ToA. Wanted to give people a chance to try it before I threw it up here.

Useless for damage, but if you have lower energy this can keep you casting more often with the energy gain. Using Gaze to fuel speed spamming results in a faster average run

[Augury of [email protected]]
Cast this on a banished rider who is at -50%HP and hit to inflict a deep wound and kill them quickly

[Radiation Field]
Disease won't do anything but attaxes, but the wards degen is decent if you can manage the energy. Using Radiation field grants a faster average run

[Lava [email protected]]
Still does a decent amount of damage, beware of causing scatter. Using this will yield the fastest average run if you manage it properly

[Viper's [email protected]]
Poison the attaxes and possibly shadow step past blocks. This is a great way to kill attaxes and be able to prevent failed runs because of bad spawns, though it may take multiple casts to get past any blocked areas

[Death's [email protected]]
Shadow Step past blocks, surest way to prevent a failure because of bad spawns. Be sure the target you step to is clear and make sure to have frigid armor up in case you step into a trap.

Gear: Using approx 480HP will allow you to outlast the average trap damage, I recommend you carry equipment with +HP in case you get stuck passing through a large trap nest.

works about the same as the old lava/mark build. The degen from burning is caused w/o a hex so hexbreaker isn't an issue and degen isn't nerfed by the -50% on shadow form.

Gather em up, spam burning. With the right rhythm you can keep burning up approx. 75-80% of the time. Kills roughly the same speed as before, just a few extra seconds here and there.

The fastest way to kill is to gather the nearest 3 banished riders and the nearest wailing lord group and kill. Moving to the east, grab the wailing lord and banisher rider at the statue of Grenth and kill. follow that path around the other side and gather the last banished rider and nearby wailing lord group, hopefully one wave of spectres will spawn near the entrance to the spawning pools so you can grab the outlying terrorweb dryders and kill them at the same time. Hug walls and edges of the map to force the ranged attacked closer together faster.



Using this kill pattern the fastest time I was able to clock was 20 minutes, including the run to the plains. This was done using the glowing gaze variant. Average time is 25 minutes if you are able to do this in 3 groups. Hopefully a video will be available for this pattern soon (I'll do one, but anyone is welcome to contribute!)

This can kill attaxes with burning alone, but is somewhat slow. If you want to kill attaxes be sure and take one of the skills listed for that purpose!

Don't stand next to cursed riders (aggroing them is fine) as if they die they spawn the signet of disenchant spammers.

Best run for me so far was 20 minutes, best drops so far was 6 ectos

Just tried it... Works right enough! Though i'm running 15 Shadow Arts, 10 water and 10 fire. Works fine and i can keep frigid armor up indefinetly. Albeit not sure how profitable it'll be with the cursed riders(not sure how many spawn as i only cleared the 1st three mobs of banished riders)

But - is dash necessary when you have burning speed? Haven't tried it yet but I would think that bs takes you further at speed than dash and it would free up another skill slot.

(I believe only 3 cursed riders spawn and 6 banished riders that spawn mindblades so unless you want to fight signet of disenchantement there are 3 less groups to drop ectos than there used to be.)

thanks fragile, i'll fix it.

Dash is optional, honestly I prefer to use it over burning when i'm running but thats just me.

I've ran it a few times, only counted cursed once and I got 4. One at the door way to bone pits, one at the doorway on the otherside (can't recall where it goes) and one on either side of the statue

Edit: tried it, works like a champ. got 4 ectos in a 15 minute run. woulda been longer but theres only 5 groups you can get now instead of 9.

the main problem is it kills em all at once, which yields less drops. i used to get em all down to 5% health and hit em with fire staff to ignite MoR to kill one at a time for more drops. this build doesnt allow that so much

I just finally worked out what I was doing wrong: I thought Deadly Paradox, when used, caused SF to recharge 33% for 5 seconds (the duration of Deadly Paradox). Now I realize you only need to use it before casting SF and SF will recharge 33% faster for its whole duration. Right?

Good to know why I wasted 15k on the Underworld.

i read the dev notes as my game tried to reaccess my firewall, they practically gave it away by saying degen wasn't effected. So i looked for a degen that wouldn't be broken by hex breaker, after I ruled out radiation field and fixed the energy problem I was in ToA giving it out within 10 minutes

I got it done in 24 minutes for these reasons:
1) Killed em all in groups
2) got lucky, 3 riders grouped for me fairly quick
3) I only started my timer after I got to the plains, wasn't thinking about /age
4) I didn't pick anything up while I did it

average time will be a bit higher ofc, but the only part thats been slower on average for me is killing off the riders in the first place

Yes but can u kill all of them like you used to, or is the run still nerfed cause you can't kill the curse riders. You won't get as many ectos as you used to.

Effectively we're down 3(mebe 4) riders since they've been changed to cursed riders... luckily theres still enough banished to make a buck. Though it helps to kill each rider individally to ensure you get the most out of your run... Rather than killing 3 or so groups at one time.

Looking over the build, I question whether it'd be better to run 9 in Water and Fire. Burning would decrease by 1 second, but [[Armor of Mist] could last long enough to have it up indefinitely.

There are 4 cursed riders, so you can only farm 5 banished/mindblade groups. You don't need to have frigid armor up all the time, it just need to be up when you cast burning speed.

Also want to note, even though in both our videos the HP bar isn't full, you don't need to drop your HP at all. Apparently degen doesn't cause scatter

after some tweaking i've found that the fastest way to kill is with 16 shadow, 10 fire, and 8 water. This allows for one extra burn w/o having to recast armor. I also inserted glowing gaze (credit to nestaron) which adds some sprinkles of damage and more importantly energy gain.

Light of Deld is also an option if you can manage the energy, it's supposed to do 2x damage to the ghosties so it should still be at whatever is listed for your skill. My sin is at 0 Deld, so until I get real bored I'll be sticking with gaze

Same, tried it, works, no ecto drops (though I got d/ced by the server before the last group)

Kinda pissed that their 'supposed' nerf to prevent UW farming keeps it in-tact but not all the other farms. But at least this way I'll have _A_ sin farm left.

Start the economy from scratch again, because since the game economy is so important to them, it might as well be fixed properly.

The main nerf comes from the loss of 4 banished/mindblade groups. This together with the additional ~5-10min required for the run, cuts the effective income by almost half. I did a few runs and got ~1-3 ectos per run.

[Glowing Gaze] is pretty pointless IMO... your not gaining much energy from using it and its not hard to manage your energy.. i have been using [Dark Escape] instead of it for the traps, but I'm sure there could be some better skill to use, haven't thought of one yet

EDIT: With your attribute points, you are only gaining 1 energy from glowing gaze... that seems really pointless to me
