i used to run gate of madness for kids with my wammo a while back. It bored the crap out of me, so I would occasionally jack up the price just so nobody would pay it and I would have an excuse to leave. Started at 2k, then 4k, then 7k, 9k, 12k. People were actually paying me 12k for this run. Jesus. I don't do that anymore, I hate that mission, but i love the money.

Back in the old days soon after Prophecies was released and before the economy went to hell, I was just hanging around ToA (we didn't have favor so I was just killing time....ah favor...remember THOSE days?? 
) and I was on my Ranger primary. This other Ranger PMs me and says: "Do you have a Sup Vigor on your char?". As it happened I hadn't yet accumulated enough to buy one and told him that. He said: "No Ranger should be without a Sup Vig...". Next thing I know he opens a trade w/me and there's a Sup Vig in the window. I thought he was just jackin' with me and I told him I couldn't afford it. He said..."Take it...it's free...enjoy!." And then just zoned out of ToA! I couldn't believe it...but it was for real! Not only my best bargain ever, but an act of random kindness and generosity that reflected the community back then. I wish those days had never disappeared, but...such is life.

didnt even notice the stats on the sword, it was covered up with crappy mods like poisonous 33% and +7 armour vs elemental, i was only bothered about the 15k.

Sold my Galigord Stone Staff for 100k in June/July. The buyer claimed he needed it to farm FoW and would make back the money in no time. I wished him luck and laughed at the fact I added yet another 100k to my massive overflowing storages. It sucks the limit is 1000k for storage and 100k per character. I hate having to get another account or character slot just to max it out again.

A friend of mine who left GW about a year back logged into his acct on my urging and gave me all the minis. I got a Mini Black Beast of AARRRRGGGHHHHH and a water Djinn for FREE!!! I also got 14 other minis not worth mentioning.

Best Deal I ever had was a miniature kuunavang for a req 10 golden hammer (Ram's hammer If I recall correctly...) We both had no idea on the value of the mini, but he was not really fond of it, and I had a golden maxed hammer I wasn't using (I was a sin, he was a typical wammo..)
When I got to kaineng centre 2 days after I noticed that a kuuna was worth way over 100k... I tried to contact the guy I bought it from, to tell him about it and offer him back the money it was worth, but he said it was ok and I could keep it
Other then that, I'd say trading my perfect req 9 Elemental Sword for a Tormented Strength shield 2 days before the elemental swords started dropping a lot

8 accounts? Let's assume he has 1 account with all chapters to play, with at least all 8 slots plus perhaps the pre-order extra slot from Nightfall, and perhaps 1 extra bought slot to have all 10 professions. Then 7 mule accounts with 4 slots each:

You know, if it's just "rusting away", then spend it! And if you really have no idea what to spend it on, I'm very willing to spend it for you.
Do you also play the monthly Xunlai House Tournament predictions with all accounts? That could net you 105 points = 105k per account on average. 840k each month for free which you can't even store! Stack upon stack of Z-keys will fill your mules! You could do some massive charity... OR you could stop bragging about it

the fact that you claim that your storage is maxed and have 0 space left, but you don't store money as ectos/zkeys, makes me ponder the extent of your "wealth".

Back when mini gwens where expensive, got one for around 300k if i remember, sold it for 500k later. A bit later when they went down, bought one for cheaper and sold it for more. When Icy Blade axes req 9 where worth alot, bought one for 50k sold for 100k....

Yeah okay, I cheated on this thread a little. Really though, back when I was in a heavy faction alliance I just bought and sold lockpicks when I needed cash. Found a guy who'd buy 3-5 stacks at a time for 1235 or so each. It's not the *most* money in the game but it's fast money.

2 days ago, I was in Kamadan and some dude was shouting in all-chat that he's giving away a torment shield to the first person to open trade with him...i just happened to be standing next to him so i clicked his name and opened trade...2 seconds later...FREE tormented strength shield (+30, -5/20%)! Sold it yesterday for 100k+22e The same guy was giving away 50k per person and mega-lockpicks - he never said why except that he just "wanted to help some people out"...cool stuff
as far as a good deal that i paid for, i have to say a couple of tome purchases...if i see someone selling tomes for pretty cheap, i always try to buy all they have. For instance, i picked up 81 sin tomes for 8k once, and just recently 45 ranger tomes for 300g ea. Not much profit per, but overall it adds up nicely
