The best bargain you ever got

i had a elemental sword req11 that i sold for 100k 5ecto. that was pretty much a couple weeks before people were doing the raptor farm

I needed Deldrimor Steel for my Elite Judge monk armor and wasn't going to pay the merchant price for what I needed...so I was running CoF with these people and asked if they had any and the one person said they had about 80 or so and when I asked how much they said however much the price of steel ingots was at the time (the person thought we were trading steel ingots) and I ended up getting double the amount of deldrimor steel I needed (obviously for that price I bought all they had) and ended up making a 30k+ profit.

back when they just introduced minipets to be allowed to be shown in town made a killing selling unopened presents for 80-100k ea had about 50 of em.

also had a guy run up to me in ascalon city and gave me 100k for nothing was gonna give it back thinking that he gave it to the wrong guy but he promptly got off and i never seen that name come up again on my friends list.

One of my best buddies gave me a r10 inscribable Sunqua Blade for the merchant price. It's now dyed black and converted for monk use.

- Req10 Legendary Sword for 20k while they were 100k+;
- Req13 Stygian Reaver for 17k, they were in the 80-90k range back then;
- Req9 Mot. Amethyst Aegis for 60k, saw them going for 100k-ish;
- Req10 Str. Gloom Shield for 25k, again in the 100k range when I bought it.

Didn't sell anything, I still use those... except the Leg. Sword which I merched by mistake. But got back later on

oh forgot to mention

r9 15^50 chaos axe for 30k, resold for 75k.

bought 15,000 charr carvings for 10-12g each. waited for xmas and traded them 3:1 for candy, which I later sold for ~250g each.

i crafted 3 HoD swords.

ended up getting ~300k ea for them after they were removed before the +5 caster weaps were introduced.

My collossal scimmy. I bought it for 200k the next DAY the prices dropped so low its not even funny. Smart or what?

picked up a storm bow req 9 15^50 for 1k and slapped a hp+30 on it and a 20/20 sunder and sold it at auction for 210k. guy was spamming a wts unsalvaged sundering string 2k so i took a look and it was max promptly sold it for 40k 10 minutes later.

Selling a deadsword right before their price skydived. I've never ever been that lucky.

I also bought a pretty perfect iridescent aegis for 35k. They guy told me he went down from 100k+ and in desperation sold it as such. I've held onto it ever since.

Got a r13 communing celestial compass and sold it for 70k

Acouple weeks after Nightfall came out, I bought an Colossal Scimitar q9 for 30k and resold for 100k+100 ectos. At this time, it was probably the first Colossal Scimitar in the game and was pretty much priceless. They ended up being worth over 1 mill, but by time I sold it the prices had went down, but either way I made over 700k in profit. The guy first wanted 150k, and some how I talked him down to 30k. lol. There was no price on them, so no neither of us knew how much they were worth... nobody knew. I had it for over a month before I sold it.

Funny thing is, the whole time I had it, I tried selling it on auction for only 100k startin bid, and there was no bids at all for acouple weeks, so I didn't bother selling it for awhile... until of course, people started farming them when HM arrived. Then prices dropped within acouple weeks of people finding them. If I would of sold it 2-3 weeks earlier, I would have made probably around 2-3 mill +.

Is that a steal? or what? That guy probably was killing himself over it when people started wantin them and found out how much they were worth. I know I would have.

the mini pet price guide is a little out of whack on here. i've been able to purchase minis for much lower than listed and sell for quite a bit higher without waiting too long. the price guides on guru are just that a guide. if you're buying, i would still try to buy for less than what guru says.

Also recently, a unded white rabbit for 40k or so

and unded mini gwen for 60k

I saw a roller beetle (the good ones) in town and asked the guy if it was for sale. He said he had a buyer for 100e. I said I will double that price and he said sure...so I paid 200e. Scooby pmed me and said he had a buyer at 1750e and so he would pay me 1250e. That sounded pretty sweet to me! So Scoobs changed districts and sold it to the waiting buyer for 1750e. So I made 1050e in under 24 hours and Scooby made 500e in approximately 24 seconds. Those were fun times, lol.

I had a random chinese farmer open trade with me for no apparent reason and say.. "3k. ok. you buy. ok." Heck yeah I paid 3k! It was gold max r8 15^50 longsword. Sold it for 100k. LoL.

Another time, lol, I was selling r10 ele sword back when they were not merchant food... This guy offers me the price I wanted. For some reason I delayed hitting accept and he thought I was waivering. So he says here, I will add this into the trade and he puts up gold max r7 15% stance butterfly sword. I still have that one in my collection of junk somewhere, lol.

Worst buy... paying 500k for r11 colossal sword about 2 days before farm secret leaked out and selling it a week later for 30k... I still dont like to think about that one!

Worst luck...buying a pair of 15k Warrior boots with Knight's Insignia (before Insignias / NF were out, that is). Less than 5 minutes later, a new update. After loading it, it turns out Knight's Insignia damage reduction was no longer global -.-

Since I was getting my Warrior PvP ready, 15k + mats down the drain right there >.>
