I noticed that the other day when RTS's guide said the Mad King would show up until Nov 2nd and he didn't show up when he was suppose to on Saturday.

Actually he showed up on Friday and every 3 hours for 24 hours. Depending on where you were that would mean up to 7am Saturday in Europe or until midnight PDT in the US. I Think he was there when he shoulda been...

This, from the the GW Web site, should clear up any confusion about when it was supposed to end:

Since when did we ever see an event end on a Saturday? They always seem to end at 12 am Pacific time on a Sunday.

It was probably a programming error and it should be fixed since I'm only 53 party points away from the max title.

The festivities are disappearing this way is because the event is ending. It doesn't necessarily mean when everything is set to be turned to normal that everything would go poof. It wasn't like that when it all began. The outposts were changed, but it took time to get everything else in there, including the horseman traders. The same thing is happening now with the treats and some npcs disappearing. Everything is reversing to the outposts natural state. It was expected to me at least.

We apologize for the event ending earlier than announced on the schedule. We know there are a lot of disappointed people who expected to login today to participate in the Halloween event. We goofed big time, and the times were not put in correctly. We cannot do a live build today to "turn on" the Halloween event, but myself and the Live Team will be meeting to discuss how we can make up that event time to you all.

Regina, thank you for taking the time to reply. It's reassuring to know that the problem is receiving attention, since that was my purpose in posting this thread.

Gamer weekend would be nice, although by far I think I enjoy Costume Brawl the most and am sad that a weekend would probably just mean the standard fun of Rollerbeetle Racing, Dragon's Nest, and Dragon Arena. I'd live tho...<3 Dragon Arena too, although the rewards don't really compare to Costume Brawl or Snowball Arena. ^ ^ A Halloween Redux would be the ideal solution, I think, as I wouldn't mind a few more ToT bags in my inventory too. (The upcoming title balance has me motivated to get a move on finishing Treasure Hunter and Wisdom, and such an endeavor needs to be financed somehow.) Either way, I'll be interested to see what's decided.

Thanks Regina and team for noticing and hope something can be done to make the masses happy.
I know a lot planed the time to farm and whatnot being the lest busy day of the week
for many only to have the event end sooner but things do happen.
Maybe a weekend event of just tot drops or something and collector NPC but no Mad King appearance
as he went off as planed.

Extend the event by one day. Don't forget you ALSO short-changed us by conducting server updates during the event.

During the one day extension, lets have double ToT Bag drops, and double collector payouts. Finally, bring the Mad King back every 2 hours for the bonus day and while he's in town, apply the "Double Party Point" Aura that was available during Gaile's Farewell.

Yeah.It is just the he/she is referring to the time Anet operates on which is now North American PST.

But that is exactly my point!!! We already bought the game, we should not have to "demand" or "deserve" anything. It is in Anet's best interest to please us, NOT the other way around.
I feel like most of the community thinks that Anet is doing them a favor by providing the content that they paid for.

I dont want to complain much though, the events are considered extra, so I guess I should not say we paid for that. But at least get it done right, geez.
